If you're in Frisco, you really have to come to this adorable little place. Lunch was served by a charming young man who was just adorable and knew it. They have plenty of wine and beer, and great lunch options. It's affordable and it's just tasty and fresh. The chef works hard at her food and the results are wonderful. Not entirely super impressed by this place. I love the house concept and Iike how the outside seating is in a spacious back yard with fire pits and live music. The ambiance is this restaurants saving grace. Our server was funny and on top of things on what was a busy Saturday evening. The drinks were weak and overpriced as is the food. The one vegan option (that's not a plate of hummus and veggies) they have on their online menu is no longer on the actual menu. I basically ate a giant plate of $15 chips. My friends ordered sandwiches that looked less than impressive. So we had a good time...but this definitely isn't a place I'd come back to eat and next time I'll pay for a beer instead of a cocktail. read more

We decided to check out downtown Frisco and came across this cute wine bar. It wasn't too packed for a Saturday night - it was almost fully sat outside so we opted to sit indoors. Volume was loud outside with live music, but it was a comfortable volume indoors where we would talk to each other without yelling. We ordered beer, a small charcuterie board, and a mocktail (Frisco's finest without vodka). It was overall a good experience - some of the items were pricier than I think they should have been, but I think that's typical of gastro bars. I wasn't blown away by the food or drink, but it was pleasant and I could see myself bringing friends over to snack, sip, and chat. The one comment I do have is that the staff could have better customer service. I'm not able to eat a lot/have drinks because of health issues and I got alcohol pushed on me as well as a large portion of food under the pretense that the smaller portion was "flushing money down the toilet". As a server, you should try to leave a good first impression and let the customer decide what they want to order. I say that as someone who was a server for a few years. I'm interested in other items on the menu, so we'll come back. But I don't know that I would come back very often if I expect to be hounded about what I order. Just something to consider! read more

Visited this place for the first tine today for their Moms and Mimosas day. Our book club reserved a table and we had a great time. Place was packed but our table was ready as soon as we arrived. Our waiter was very attentive and kept the mimosas and drinks filled. The place is very nice and well kept (minus the tilted foundation but all historical homes in downtown have this problem in some degree). The outside patio looked really nice for a cooler day. Everything was good, except for one thing: the food. All our table ordered paninis which were small for the price with ordinary, out of a bag chips. I ordered the beets salad as it sounded amazing and at $13 sounded like it would be an entree size. Wrong. It was small!!! A complete and total let down. About a cup of arugula with one half of a beet in thin slices, the tiniest amount of almonds m, with maybe 1/2 cup of quinoa. $13, for a side size salad without chicken or beef? No thank you, especially with so many options around town. I don't get why people flock to this place, but the food is definitely not it. read more

Had an awesome ladies night at Eight 11 the other night. Drinks: We each got a wine flight which took a little while since they were behind on glassware but was good and fairly priced. We also had the espresso martini which was excellent. Food: We got the bacon and bleu cheese chips and salmon appetizers. Both were delicious. For entrees two of us had paninis and one a Caesar salad which were delicious as well. Service: Ourserver was nice and told us good information on the specials. He also ensured our party got gluten free sides as one in our party had an allergy. A manager stopped by and was delivering food and running drinks to help out. Love this place. We just wanted to find a great patio and came across this place and wow did they nail it. They have a huge back area of firepit tables and along the house they have tables with heaters. Plus they have blankets if you need more to stay warm. They put us on a waitlist for the firepit which was nice and they actually moved us without any issue once one opened up. They were great about giving samples even though they offer wine flights, which is awesome. All the servers are nice and extremely attentive. It's weird everyone seems so young that works here. The wine is good. Seems pizza and smores are what people get here, we just had wine. It was the perfect way to end our weekend relaxing listening to music and enjoying good wine. This place is a hidden gem! The outdoor vibe is so nice and some night there is live music. Parking is challenging but it's worth the hassle. The sangria is one if the best I've had at a restaurant in Frisco (10/10). The Food was very good the only thing I'd like to see is a sauce in the panini so it isn't dry, I used the honey from the crostini for my sandwich. First visit on Saturday night we had a group of 6. Wanted to review the place for a future party. Started off sitting inside while waiting for a table outside. Outside area are not really tables but fire pits - we ordered the buffalo chips and 2 pizzas and had plenty. Bacon and Blue chips was a large pile of lays type of potato chips with balsamic glaze, bacon and blue cheese. Not my favorite but others enjoyed them. We then shared the peachy pig and jalapeños popper pizza. The peach pig, has a peach jelly, pulled pork, onion, more bacon, and cheese with a drizzle of hot honey. Jalapeños popper had cream cheese, chicken, cheese, jalapeños and more bacon and hot honey. Both came out burnt on top and 1/2 of the crust. So many toppings middle of pie was limp and juicy. Flavors were great eating around the burnt area. Waitress outside was much more attentive and friendly. Pizza was higher priced than most pizza places but prices match the Frisco address. The restaurant is a cozy house with a rustic feel to it; It has a large patio area with patio tables that double as a fire pits! We have loved Eight 11 for years! My daughter specifically chose this place for her 24th birthday because our past experiences. When I made the reservation, the manager specifically said oh it's her birthday. We'll definitely bring you something special and some champagne to celebrate. This is my new favorite wine spot! I had my birthday here and had a group of about 20 people. I could not have asked for a better birthday experience. If you are wanting to reserve a party with more than 14 people you have to put down a $250 deposit. As long as you and your guest spend the minimum amount the deposit is refunded. Meeting the minimum was easy. They sat us outside as we requested and our party was not split up at all. While deciding where I wanted to have my birthday I had two requirements live music and an amazing cheese board. Eight 11 exceeded both requirements. I ordered The Large Board and it came with the most delicious goat cheese coated with cracked pepper. The combination with the honey was to die for. The Lange Twins Moscato was amazing! I had the white wine flight and none of those came close to the Lange Twins. Service was very attentive and kind. I loved the valet parking. Mary the Manager was very helpful in setting up the reservation and gave me a free drink for having my party at Eight 11. The pizzas were delicious! The outside vibe on a windy night was warm and cozy because there were heaters everywhere and the servers were all ready with a smile. The only downside for me was that so many heaters (which you have to pay to turn on-BTW) were on full force around that the smell of the propane made me super dizzy. My sister who was with me was completely unaffected though, so go figure! Haha. Dessert was not amazing, but by that point I felt like I was getting gas poisoning so my experience with that probably shouldn't be taken into consideration. We went here for my birthday. It's a super cute old house turned into a trendy wine bar. The inside is small but the back "yard" is very spacious. Each sitting area has its own glass fireplace which I'm sure is wonderful in the cooler months. For hot summer days and nights they have big fans and giant umbrellas. Live music was a treat although it was almost too loud so that you couldn't talk to each other. The wine selection was fantastic and they do have a full bar as well. Now for the best part....the food! I was shocked in that I expected nice good but not incredible. I'm a huge fan of a cheeseboard and this place does them right. Their pizzas dough is house made and they use cheeses and ingredients in a way you will be dreaming of days later. Oh, man...oh, man... I had sky-high expectations when I arrived at the Eight 11. Visiting was an event me and my partner wanted to experience on NYE, and I have to say, it DID NOT disappoint. Everything about it was amazing, from pulling into the parking lot, to walking up the sidewalk before we walked in. Great ambience and I like the wine selection is upfront when you walked in. The food and wine selection is awesome. We decided to stay inside because of the chill air outside but, there were tons of people enjoying themselves outside in the backyard next to a warm fire pit. The place has southern charm and great staff and management. There wasn't a single thing I did not enjoy about it. The food and wine selections along with the NYE fun picture booth... how cool is that. I can't wait to go back... one night was So not enough. The bartender was so friendly and noticed my friends birthday card, he was quick to say happy birthday and reminded us that we would get a free piece of cake! There is also an indoor seating area if you want to stay inside. Since it was chilly, it was nice being able to utilize the firepit table. I ordered the rose flight which was $29 and came with four hefty pours of wine. My husband ordered a craft beer off their menu. I don't know how the other tables handled it, but I used my credit card to cover the bill and my three friends paid me the cash for their part. This is the first time this confusing billing has ever happened in my entire life dining in restaurants at all different levels in many states.
