Once again , Eighty 8 Donuts in Portland is a must. Their donuts are insanely fresh -- like you can actually taste how just-made they are. Soft, perfect texture, not stale for a second, and every flavor I've tried has been straight up delicious. Some of the people who work there could be a tad more polite but overall they are nice. The donuts are so good that they could call me names and I'd still come back! kidding but for real these are GAME CHANGING DONUTS!!! Also, huge bonus: they serve solid coffee from Tandem, so you're not stuck with mediocre coffee to go with a great donut. Everything I've had from here hits -- donuts, coffee, the whole vibe. If you're in Portland, this spot is 100% worth it.

Super cute place and amazing donuts. These are beautiful small donuts that are almost too cute to eat! Lol ok no way to not eat. They come out warm and ready to pop into your mouth. My only negative is the pice is a little steep. Service was good and place was clean. The aroma intoxicating- in a good way.

Stopped by Eighty 8 Donuts and treated myself to The Homer and a coffee. Wow--these donuts are something else! They were perfectly fluffy, soft, and light, and honestly, almost too pretty to eat. I found myself just staring at it for a second, like, "Do I dare?" But once I took that first bite, it was pure bliss--the sweetness balanced perfectly, and the texture was spot-on. The coffee paired beautifully and rounded out the experience. The staff was friendly, the shop has a nice vibe, and everything just felt like a little treat for the soul. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to again and again!

these donuts are seriously the best donuts I've ever had in my life. I usually get them at the Friberg fair with my family and we all pick a few flavors to share. They are just so delicious and warm and made right on the spot. I haven't been to the Portland location, but I would assume they are just as good there as well. I would recommend this place fair fast and friendly.

Service was friendly, the donut shop was cool and had an upstairs and outside dining area. We loved that the donuts were freshly made to order. Only downside to this experience was the prices were too high for tiny donuts. They were the size of hostess mini donuts. $1.40 per mini hostess size donuts. Its a one time experience for us. The definitely taste better than the holy donut. Thats a whole other review. From 1 to 10 overall score 7. Would have scored higher but the price point is just crazy for tiny donuts.3 stars best we could give.

Small, fresh donuts. Served warm and fully covered in their respective toppings. Slightly disappointed you have to buy 6 of one flavor but it's their way of serving them fresh. Of course we went for Maine Maple... DELICIOUS! Great size, super warm, not terribly priced. Why not 5 stars? I only got to try one flavor and so much of the topping wears off the donut because it is so warm. Very messy.

This place is so unique. I have never had such fancy mini donuts. I didn't know anything about this place and did not expect the mini donuts so it was a really fun surprise. They are all made to order so it takes a little bit but it's worth it. The boxes and the shop are also super cute, very instagramable. We got the Boston cream and fruity pebble donuts. Although the fruity pebbles were my pick I liked the Boston cream better. My only complaint is maybe a little too sweet, like the ratio of donut to topping could be dialed back a little.

Expensive but adorably packaged and guaranteed hot. Best mini donuts I've ever had Esp for touring Portland Downtown: highly recommend eating at Highroller lobster but lunch and walk around the corner to eat these donuts!

This donut place was just around the corner from Highroller. After having lobster rolls for lunch, I wanted something sweet. Portland has an amazing donut scene that includes Eighty 8. We got the Lemon Zinger and Cookies and Cream specialty bites. They were all freshly made and we only had to wait a few minutes. The donuts are so pillowy soft and practically melts in your mouth. They were so good that my sister and I had to pick up another box on our way out of Portland.

I thought their Doughnuts are delicious! I had Boston Cream and lemon zinger and both were fresh and delicious!! Their doughnuts are bite sized and smaller than typical doughnuts. They don't have a large variety of flavors to choose from but their choices were sufficient. I got there 20 minutes before closing and they didn't have any more regular brew coffee left which was disappointing. The service was friendly and helpful. The location was clean and well lit. I definitely recommend checking this place out. It's unique and delicious!!

What started as a food truck has now become their second physical location with the first cafe being at Sugarloaf. I have wanted to get my hands on these donuts ever since I first saw they were a thing. It never came to be as I was a little too far out from Portland to ever see their food truck. Then a couple years went by and I had mostly forgotten about my goal of trying these tiny donuts. Until a stroll through Portland to try a different breakfast oriented place and I knew I needed to stop in. Well I'm glad I randomly walked by this cafe and even happier I got two different flavors. I would recommend either one and likely any of the others as well (even without trying them). I think I'd give a slight edge to the cookies n cream aka Oreo donuts. If you have tried the food truck you know what to expect. If you haven't heard of the food truck it doesn't matter make your way here. If you're like me and wanted to try the food truck and never got a chance to, then don't sweat it, you got a permanent location you know you can snag this donuts at. The donuts may be small but the flavor is anything but that; big and bold sweetness.

We got some delicious lattes and my daughter hit them up for a hot chocolate. They only have four metal bar height chairs to sit on, but we did and boy did we enjoy our delicious donuts. The interior of the donut shop is stylish and welcoming, and I saw a few bar seats if you want to stay to eat. There were plenty of flavors; we ended up trying the Portland Fog (i.e. lavender + earl grey), maple cruller, and chocolate & sea salt cruller. Service at the counter was quick. The donuts were all tasty! I actually liked the Portland Fog donut texture better than the crullers, which were nice and airy but a bit soggy/limp for me. The Portland Fog was especially delicious -- I love a lavender + earl grey combo -- though I wish it was 10% lighter on the lavender flavor. The chocolate & sea salt flavor combo was also delicious (though you can never go wrong with that flavor pairing). I will flag for those with dietary restrictions that there are unfortunately no vegan or vegetarian donuts here, since they fry all their donuts in lard. Overall, a pleasant experience. I'm looking forward to trying more flavors!

Do not come here expecting to sit at a cafe and eat indoors. There are only a few outdoor tables. This is more of a take out spot. The drinks (iced tea/cold brew/hot coffee/tea) are premade and I would say are above average. The pastries we had were unbelievable! Flakey, buttery croissants with simple but punchy flavors. After having some of the bread prior to our meals at a few restaurants, we found out the bread is locally sourced at a sister business right around the corner from where ate the night before. There is parking avail for customers in the lot for 30 mins, we prob waited about 20 mins and crossed the threshold into baked goods heaven. There was so much to select from - we got pastries, cookies, pizza and bread - and we pretty much liked everything. Our least favorite was the morning bun with walnuts - we didn't have it right away so that might've been part of the issue. Just note that the bread served at the restaurants aren't available until 2pm - we were leaving that morning so we weren't going wait for it. We opted for other loaves instead and they didn't disappoint. If you want something yummy and fresh - make sure to stop by here before heading out of Portland. I do wish the setup was a bit more conducive to the big crowds as there isn't much space from the front door to the counter but still a fantastic find!

They clearly use excellent ingredients, that really help prevent overly saccharine donuts. Their seasonal varieties provide a good number of new flavors to try. That said, their sweet donuts overshadow what I would argue is their best donut: the savory bacon cheddar! Their description of "ooey, gooey, cheesey and delicious" is spot on for this one. I also generally recommend the maple bacon, triple C (caramel, coconut, and chocolate), and trying one of the fruity holy canoli. While all locations are clean, very friendly, and professional, I especially recommend the Scarborough location. The drive-through and reduced foot-traffic (compared to the Portland locations) can make it faster to drive there on a busy day than wait in the Portland lines! Scarborough also has good parking, WiFi, and a comfortable place to sit. I get the feeling that this business treats their employees well and cares about things like local ingredients.

Four adults and a toddler sampled a bunch of donuts - sounds like the start of a terrible joke...These are my notes on all of the donuts and not a consensus from the group, in no particular order. Woopie pie: 4 stars - good flavor and texture, nice way to begin this sampling experience. Bacon cheddar fried donut: 5 stars - delicious, amazing flavor, served hot, good distribution of fillings; would gladly have this again! Margarita: 3 stars - definitely taste the salt and lime, little bit of tequila as well; glad I experienced this, not something I'll go back for. Key lime holy cannoli: 5 stars - love the texture of the donut, light and fluffy, good lime flavor and enjoyed the cannoli cream. Creme brulee: 3 stars - good flavor, the crystallized chunks of sugar were a nice touch; I had high hopes, and it was alright but not life changing - that's on me. Maple: 3 stars - typical maple donut, not overwhelming with flavor but definitely knew it was maple. Maple bacon: 4 stars - lots of bacon, almost balanced by the maple. Blueberry lemon: 5 stars - really great lemon flavor to the glaze, blueberry flavor comes through the donut nicely; looking forward to having this again! Vanilla holy cannoli: 5 stars - again, love the texture of the donut, classic flavor with the cannoli cream; I would gladly eat a whole one of these! Chocolate sea salt: 3 stars - good chocolate flavor, didn't get much of the sea salt coming through. Pomegranate: 4 stars - very sweet, good amount of pomegranate flavor; could not eat a whole one as it would be too sweet for me. Honey lavender: 5 stars - mmm, honey and lavender partnered nicely, sweet but not obnoxiously so, loved how well the lavender flavor came through; I very much so enjoy botanicals in sweet treats and lattes. Toasted coconut: 5 stars - deliciously sweet coconut taste, nostalgic flavor of something my grandma use to make, I really enjoyed it! Such a fun way to bond with friends and spend a relaxing morning on vacation! Would gladly get donuts here again, and now that i know my favorites, I can be more intentional with my order next time
