This location is conveniet in the galleria. Its usually well staffed and provides good service. I had an error in one of my recent orders, hence the 4/5 rating.

I have not checked into this store before as I had been disappointed but was with a friend and were waiting for a nearby Q place to open. Upon entry we stood for about 10 minutes before the order was taken by a friendly lady and there were only a couple of people in front of us. I went to clean off a table. After about 15 minutes the order was ready. A nice young lady wearing St. Patrick's Day glasses called out that the order was ready. The staff was working as fast as they could but they could have used some extra help. The staffs' attitude today kicked it up a star. I will be back for another try on the food, but for now let's attribute a lot to SXSW influx.

Not much to choose from at noon.

At noon and they were nearly out of bagels. Weird. They must not cater to the lunch crowd. Also out of several kinds of cream cheese. They looked like they were going out of business. Came back this year to give it another go... Still 1 Star. 10:00 a.m. my boys ordered the last Everything and the last Garlic. Before they pulled them out, the guy behind us ordered them and they added them to his dozen. As we both stood at the register this was explained. They were going to remove the bagels from his box, but my boys said they would order something different. What an awkward situation. They also had to remake my coffee because the person who said she was going to make it and would remember to give me half the vanilla actually passed the responsibility on to somebody else that did not get the message. The line was really backed up and it was hectic. People were getting pissy. We were given a discount on our order and a GC for the problems. That was very kind.

Einstein bagels just opened in Hill Country Galleria. Everyone who works there seems to be happy and helpful. I had not been to Einstein in a while so I was impressed by the selection: bagels, bagel sandwiches, paninins, coffee, pastries, parfaits - sure to meet your needs for breakfast, lunch or dinner, or just to satisfy your sweet tooth. I got an egg with spinach, mushroom and swiss on a honey wheat bagel and it was excellent. The bagels are freshly baked, very soft and flavorful. Einstein offers cappuccinos and the like but I went for a regular coffee, which was surprisingly good. Not that it would compete with an espresso bar serving Cuvee, but surely better than most other chains. Plus they offer five kinds of coffee to choose from: dark and light roast, decaf, vanilla hazelnut and a cinnamon holiday blend.

Everything bagel toasted with cream cheese!

The absolute SLOWEST service ever! I waited almost 30 minutes for one breakfast sandwich!! I don't know that I'll ever go back here.

I honestly didn't know what to expect coming here but there were, to me, mouth watering choices. Coming inside, there's a counter with menus and 2 kiosks to order what anyone wants. They offer all classic bagels (sesame, everything, pumpernickel, plain, etc.) with several cream cheese options and bagel sandwiches too. Spring 2026 they have a seasonal dill pickle cream cheese is incredible! I wish it was a permanent option. Service was pretty quick. They brought the order to my table. The place has outdoor seating, although it's right on Lamar so you have to contend with street traffic. During the pandemic, you had to order well in advance, but now on weekdays, you can usually walk in and get your order quickly. Weekends might require a little planning for a larger order. They don't have a great coffee program. They offer light and dark roasts, no espresso drinks or decaf. But I still think they deliver a great, no-frills bagel shop.

Since the word has gotten out about Casper Fermentables, They sell out early in the day. By lunch time, the bagels were all gone. By 1 pm, everything was all gone and they were shutting up to go home. So set your alarm clock early if you want to go to Casper Fermentables. * * * A charm of Casper Fermentables is that their sandwiches and bagels are seriously overstuffed. Samuel C. loves himself a good overstuffed sandwich. More is more. But Paradise Has Its Price. If your bagel or sourdough bread is overstuffed, that makes it harder to taste the sourdough. Which kind of defeats the primary purpose of you being there. However, if you really concentrate, And eat mindfully, You can make out the taste of that bagel or sourdough bread Underneath all the good stuff. That is a real pleasant moment when that taste comes through. You are going to have to concentrate to get to that sourdough taste. I was with interesting fascinating company - a good person who I hadn't seen in a long time. That was a pleasure in and of itself ... But like my really good tuna salad with excellent dijon and hot pepper oil, It was a delightful distraction from the sourdough. * * * Some things in life are better than fermented bread. But this is good honest fermented bread.

Civil Goat is the genre of coffee shops that are secluded from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. So many shops in Austin are located in districts that are busy and buzzing. The original Civil Goat is quiet and peaceful through the trees. Upon arrival, it looks like there's only 3 parking spots, but as you keep driving, there's a whole lot behind the shop for parking. It's not super expansive, but at 9:30 am on a Wednesday, I had no issue finding a spot. They have a large covered patio and a small interior shop. They have QR codes on tables to order on your phone and stand up kiosks for to go orders as well. You can also order inside from the barista, but I got a feeling they just prefer you order from the kiosk... I ordered a lavender latte that was delightful and warm. Very balanced in its flavors. It was served in a cute seafoam mug. My friend ordered a cappuccino that was served in frankly a cuter cup, so I was immediately jealous. I also ordered one of their specialty sandwiches called the Cuerney Sam with bacon, egg, American cheese, hot sauce (Cholula), and honey on a croissant. It was $12 which would have me on here complaining about SandFlation, but it was a hearty size and very well done. Nothing overpowered anything else, so the sandwich lived in harmony. I decided to order a second coffee to go. I got their Coco Capp with brown sugar and coconut syrup. They offer alternative milks of oat and almond free of charge, which is a huge W and something I don't see anywhere. It's a little out of the way for me, so I don't know how soon I'll return, but it made a quality impact on me and was floor raiser for my day. Plus there were goats! RIYL: Very civilized goats. Like "mmm, yes very nice" type of civilized.

I ordered an iced cappuccino with oat milk and one pump of vanilla and two pumps of lavender, it was perfect! My friend ordered a regular cappuccino and it was so cute! The avocado toast with peas could have been salted a bit more. The $4 chia pudding is tiny. There is only one restroom so be ready for a line. Also, it's kind of sad that you can't order from a person only your phone or a kiosk. But overall a good experience.
