Best Bagels around town....I first discovered Einstein's when I went to visit my sis in San Diego. Craving another brisket bagel delight I was estatic to find out Napa had a stand alone store. The store is small but well stocked. Bagels sit fresh & ready at the front counter. On one side you can see the kitchen area where your sandwhich creations are made up. Well I drove by this place for about a year expecting a cozy, old-school bagel bakery. Instead, I found fast food with a famous name. The bagels were decent, but tasted more machine than tradition. The cream cheese was runny, the coffee wasn't ready and the cream station was empty. Customer service was as dry as yesterday's toast. Here's my rhyme I came for a baker, I found a machine. Great service, so-so food. I guess being from NJ makes me be a bit of a bagel snob, but I came in with an open mind! I decided to get the Bagel & Brew Deal ($8); however, be aware that if you make any personalizations --there will be an upcharge. For my order, I decided to get a large Caramel Cold Brew (they were out of Hot Coffee at 9:15AM!), and for my sandwich, a Green Chile BEC with a Hot Honey smear. I mean, doesn't that sound AMAZING? When I opened the package, I saw the saddest - and flattest - bagel sandwich of my entire life. The taste? Absolutely basic, almost on-par with airport food. I truly came in with an open mind, seeing that I had a good experience from an Einstein Bros. a few years back. Now onto the coffee: was it cold brew? Not so sure. This is more of an advisement than an updated review. The bagels are still fresh and delicious. The staff is still great but if you order online, be sure to check your order before leaving the store. The last two times I ordered online this past month (July), my order was incorrect. The first instance, I received 9 bagels instead of 13. This morning's order, the bagels were sliced when I requested them to be whole. There were no issues by the staff to fix my order but it appears to be a problem when ordering online. read more

For a breakfast and lunch convenience, this store sits right next-door to a Wingstop. This place is a to go establishment, there are no tables to dine at here. I chose the all nighter and a cup of dark roast, which was just perfect to get my morning started. For less than 12 bucks you can't be wrong. And as I ran my credit card, I anticipated the tip screen to pop up, but it never did. You can always toss a buck or two in the cup. They have great coffee, on par with Starbucks, but no turbinado sugar. The staff were busy, but very friendly. Some other facts are that they have three different types of cream cheese, lunch boxes, cold brew, a bathroom and you can even get a bagel for your dog for $1.50. Leaving another on here because i genuinely can't stop coming back. I absolutely love bagels, and the way einstein bros does them - top tier, man. Ever since i first tried them out east in KY, i knew they'd be banging here. Specifically though, the employees here really make this place thrive. In particular, Francesca and Karla and Madeline are genuinely the most welcoming, hard working, and caring employees i seen ever since i seen them start working there. Nothing but insane improvement on their end. Props, really. Convinced they're the reason it runs like a well oiled machine the way it does, they hold it down well and it shows. Terrible decision stopping here. Their menu attracted me here but the service drove me away. Not a single person behind the counter acknowledged the customers walking in. Waited over 10 mins at the counter to have someone take my order. Numerous times employees walked right in front without greeting or asking if I would like to order. Extremely rude. When I finally ordered I got a drip coffee and when I went to pour the cup the dispensers of drip were all empty, adding to my wait time for some coffee. Once they had the new coffee out, no creamer. We often go to Napa and saw this place opening soon end of 2024.. We had our time to try it out last week, ordered Bagel Brisket with one egg.. Service was fast, customer service was great, food was awesome.. Will definitely be back to try other food or maybe a whole box of Bagels.. The only thing they need to fix was the line.. We got cut by 3 women and quite rude customers, we wanted to create a scene to put them in place so they wont do it again to others but we decided not to stoop down their level.. Where. Is. The. Smear?! I just preordered a dozen bagels and a sandwich, picked them up, proudly carried them into work like the office hero, and what do I find? No smear. Not a single tub of that sweet, glorious cream cheese. Just a sad, naked box of carbs. Someone told me, "Oh, maybe the smears are in a fridge somewhere and you're supposed to go hunting for them." Conveniently located next door to our hotel (BW+), opened early and all the good stuff was freshly made and stocked. Staff were friendly and caffeinated, got our orders out quickly, and even though one order was made wrong, they were so nice about it we didn't even mind. I went into Einstein Bros excited to try a new bagel place on this side of Napa and left dissatisfied. One, the service was very slow. It took over 30 mins for my 1 bagel order. It seemed like there were 2-3 people actually working versus the 4-5 that were there. 2 men were just chatting and once they decided to leave, 1 of the guys were telling me to sign up for the rewards program. As for my bagel, I immediately took it out the bag and felt that it was really wide. Once opened I saw it just like in the photo, not even put together properly. Emad was super friendly and had great suggestions. My fave bagels are the jalapeño cheddar and spinach florentine! I like this chain in general. The one in Redding we stop at regularly and my kids beg to go. We were so excited to get one in Napa. Unfortunately we've been twice and both times it wasn't good. I can't put my finger on it. Are the bagels previously frozen? Who is salting the eggs? Why is it greasy and the bagel so not crispy? My kids took two bits and refused to eat more. I ate half and didn't feel well very shortly after. It's just not good. I thought maybe because they were new but this second time sealed that there won't be a third time. Walked into the very new location with my wife, on our way out of town. We ordered our usual egg & cheddar on toasted plain and sesame bagels. We are from Pasadena and frequent our local Einstein Bagel shop there regularly. I purchased a nice large of coffee (20%dark roast and 80% med.) Delish as always. Piping hot. My wife grabbed a couple cold beverages from their reach-in. The staff was great (Emed) was quite polite and attentive. Overall, the experience was just as nice as we have become accustomed to. Plenty of easy access parking. Amazing location, right on the corner! Overall we will return the next we are in town. We also highly recommend their authentic and fresh variety of bagels for any bagel fans reading this. read more

The bagels are great, and the service is nice; I wish I could come here more often. However, each time I've ordered something requiring prep, my savory bagels have had cinnamon on them. The prep area is filthy, and it seems no one is trained to wipe it down after each order, so I assume my bagels are picking up cinnamon from previous orders. Stayed in Napa for a night just after coming in from an international flight. Was happy to see an Einstein Bagel just down the street from our hotel. Stopped in very indecisive from jet lag. I was expecting more from my first visit to Einstein's in Napa. They were out of almost every kind of non-sweet/desert bagel at lunch. The only options were plain, honey wheat, and asiago. Since I wanted a lox sandwich, I reluctantly went with a honey wheat bagel. The bagel wasn't adequately toasted, but even if it had, it does not appear that they boil their bagels first, and so it just tasted like thick bread. The cream cheese they use is just ok, and the lox is equally forgetable. The whole sandwich just seemed like a sad experiment in mediocrity. I know these locations are franchises, so I would encourage the owner/manager to watch some Youtube videos or read some books about how to properly make a bagel. I'll be going to Loveski's for the time being, even though their lox sandwich costs twice as much. Also, there isn't anywhere to sit, so I ate my sad lox bagel in my car. read more
