This store is really horrible. They are always understaffed. The you to repeat everything to the staff multiple times because they are overworked and not listening. When you ask for a manager they say they are the manager, even though they aren't - just a lead. If you get a bagel toasted, they either come out barely warm or burnt. I was excited to pick up two bagels with cream cheese this morning after a haircut next door. The first issue was standing at the order counter. I was the only one there to place an order. Eight minutes later, I'm still waiting and now there are six people behind me. Finally, the manager requests someone to come take orders. That process went smoothly, then I moved to the register and paid. Then the wait. During this time, there was a mix-up (customer's fault), when the customer picked up an order meant for someone else. I guess Beth and Collette sounded to similar to them. The issue was resolved, but there didn't seem to be much concern by the staff. After 25 minutes, I realize that everyone who placed an order after me had received their food. It took me a while to get a workers attention and ask about my order. They checked and said it was misplaced and they were now working on it. The correction, still took way too long. There just didn't seem to be any empathy or strong customer service at this business. The people at the register should be checking with customers awaiting orders to ensure everything is going smoothly. Maybe realize someone is waiting around too long for their order, which should be a red flag that something is wrong. Even if it is just taking too long due to volume, at least it is good to acknowledge those waiting. They are very busy, especially the drive-thru, so maybe customer service isn't important because they are doing a lot of business. The sad part is this will slowly decay their business over time as they lose customers such as me. Lastly, the food. I've had much better at this location. I had asked for the bagels to be toasted, and they weren't, which made everything too soggy with the cream cheese. Definitely not worth the long wait. read more

My second time here even though I've driven past it for years...I love it! The Egg White Asparagus Bagel Thins are yummmmmmmy and honestly the coffee is probably better than most places in Tucson. My opinion remember. They do have wi-fi which is a plus but there are only 2 small tables sharing one outlet, so you have to get lucky if you plan on using them. I've been to every Einstein's location in town except University. The food and coffee are pretty consistent, and I really like it. Their cinnamon coffee blend that they have around the holidays is really good. This location is nice, because there is ample parking and a drive-thru. I went in, because it was super busy when I visited on New Year's Eve. Despite how many customers there were, I didn't wait too long for my food. The staff is friendly and efficient. And they will actually thin-cut your bagel here. At the location on Swan and Sunrise, it seems they never actually do that when I ask them to. read more

Ordered 3 bagels from a lady who looked at me as though it was the end of the world because my kids wanted their bagels cut into quarters. I paid for my order (via gift card) and the total was $14.75. The same lady then walked to the counter and said "your bagels are right here" slammed the bag on the counter and walked away. We sat down to eat our order, and found 3 bagels, without cream cheese on them. So $14 for 3 bagels. I went and told the cashier, who starkly responded "did you order them with cream cheese?" "No, I wasn't aware that you had to specify cream cheese" to which she apologized, offered me sides of cream cheese, then charged me $3.00 for them and only gave me two . They have a large selection of coffee but it's limited, as 3/4 gigantic containers were empty. Didn't want to risk asking the clerk for coffee out of fear of a surprise charge. For the same price ($20) you can buy two bags of bagels that aren't rock hard, and a tub of cream cheese that doesn't taste like onions. I'll never eat here again read more

Today I ordered the Nova Lox bagel from this location. I've ordered this bagel from many locations in San Diego, but this was my first time ordering it here. I have to start off by saying that the staff were really nice, and I only waited for it a few minutes, but the bagel was so disappointing. The amount of stuff on the bagel was minimal. On each bagel piece was one piece of tomato, the size of a silver dollar, 5-6 capers and one ring of red onion. I got home and added a few more slices of tomatoes and more onion, which I shouldn't have had to do. I'm going to have to look for a new place to get my lox bagels, because for the cost, this place sucks. read more

The team I work with is pretty insistent that I bring bagels in every Monday morning. If I miss, oh, they let me know about it. That's why I'm so glad there's an Einstein Bros near my home that opens at 5:30am. I started buying bagels there every Monday morning. Frankly, I think I'm usually the first one in their drive through as soon as they open. The order is the same every Monday - two Baker's Dozen, assorted, sliced. That brings me to Tori. She is always there with a great big smile to start my Monday. And she's become so used to me coming in every Monday that she has my order ready as soon as I pull up, even before I can tell her what I need. That's amazing service! Meanwhile the order line grows to the back of the building and when it was time for me to order I can't get what I want because it has be sold in the time the order taker has been out of position. I don't eat bagels so I mostly come here for the coffee but I think I'm done. I've tried time and time again , mostly because drive thru coffee is easier when the kids are with me, but their coffee is consistently crap. Their cold brew is really weak, and that's usually what I get, but I tried hot coffee today, figuring it would be stronger. Honestly, it was the grossest coffee I've ever had. I think it was flavored ( I didn't ask for that) and tasted like melted plastic. It didn't even taste like your normal burnt bitter crappy coffee, it tasted like chemicals and plastic. I figured I shouldn't write a mean review so I can go back and exchange it, but screw it I'm never going back to that place that was the last straw. I'm sure it's not totally the employees fault. Parking lot was a cramped. BIG store that was clean. I got my bagels and tried to pick up some orange juice. Unfortunately, my credit application for $10,000 was denied (the amount I needed to buy a small cup of orange juice). So, I took my showboat over the circle K to get their litre of Orange Juice for less. I think they are pushing the "lox" cream cheese. Not big on the lox. This morning my visit was horrible. The manager Monica hung up the phone on me when I called to to try to fix my order. Because of her aggressive and rude behavior the employees are under a lot of pressure. Her ridiculous attitude on the phone and towards the people in the restaurant cause others to make mistakes. I will not stop coming here because I support my local businesses and care about my community. I will not stop coming here because of Monica, but I would recommend a serious look at the management of the store. There may need to be some retraining or a shake up. read more

I love this place for what it is: yummy bagels and some of my favorite coffee ever. I especially love their iced coffee. With that being said, the service is fairly standard. You get what you need and the employees are friendly, but people don't go over the top. I stopped in today and the place was packed which was a good sign. But as a result not everything was up to par. I got a green chile bagel (yummmmmm!) with onion and chive schmear with a medium coffee. The neighborhood blend was all out, and since it was so busy, informing a worker was not doable so I took that as a sign to try something f different, so I had the vanilla hazelnut coffee and it was delicious. However, I still would have liked the option of going with the regular coffee. My bagel came out fairly quickly but the employee asked if it was too burned for me which seemed kind of weird. If you think it's too burned then maybe make another one? I don't know. I said it was no problem and ate it and it really was fine. Overall I really am a fan of this place and I will def be back, but there are some improvements that could be made. Also the drive thru is usually very slow. But I do think they have the best iced coffee I have ever had! read more

First of all, you should never make your customer wait to take their order because you need to catch up on making orders for the drive through. Also, don't ever tell a customer the excuse "sorry the line was too long and we gave your order to drive through." We got there around 10:45 AM on Saturday and waited 30 minutes for our order. My boyfriend got a simple toasted onion bagel with cream cheese and I got the garden avocado sandwich on a bagel thin. His bagel was good but mine was mediocre at best. We were given two free sandwich coupons, but it seemed as if that was the manager's go to for every resolution. From observing other customers coming in and getting their orders, placing orders, and waiting for their order, one lady walked out because she didn't want to wait any longer because of her original order being messed up, our order was given to the drive thru, therefore one of those customers got our order and not their specific order, an older gentleman's order was forgotten about and he was given the excuse above, by the MANAGER, that the line is too long. So he was given his original order some 20 odd minutes later after complaining about the wait. The girl manning the register kept saying she was out of rolled coin and the manager seemed like he could've cared less. Like, what in the world! Two additional customers went back up to the counter asking when their order would be out. This Einstein's needs new management and employees.
