    Carne Asada
    Veronica G.

Carne Asada with fried plantains and refried beans.

Where do I begin? I walked in and wasn't greeted and had to find someone to place an order. Was finally given a menu by Karli since she's the only waitress that speaks English (which is no problem!) She answered all my questions and helped me place my order. Waited about 15 mins for food, wasn't checked on at all until I was done eating. Food was great, especially the plantains. The beans had a very bitter taste. Now to be fair, I understand they had a 3 large table parties that had all waitresses on deck. I wanted to place an order for dessert and an hour had passed. Karli was everywhere but at my table. In and out of the restaurant speaking with other guests and neglecting my table. After another 45 minutes had passed. I started using a translator with the other waitress to find her so I can pay and leave. They all said ok and time still passed. Found Karli at the register and placed an order for a dessert to go. By this time I was at this restaurant for almost 3 FREAKIN HOURS. She gave me free dessert for neglecting my table. They didn't have tres leches so I went with flan and it was disgusting. Straight in the trash. So if you're not Hispanic and don't speak good enough Spanish don't waste your time here. I wish I had just walked out, next time Karli would keep up with her other table. ¿Por dónde empiezo? Entré y no me recibieron y tuve que encontrar a alguien para hacer un pedido. Karli finalmente le dio un menú, ya que es la única camarera que habla inglés (¡lo cual no es un problema!) Ella respondió a todas mis preguntas y me ayudó a hacer mi pedido.

Had a huge pupusa craving, and our local Miami friend suggested that we all go here! PARKING: A small lot with free parking WHAT I ORDERED: * Baleada * Tamal de elote * Pupusas de frijol * La Picadita * Agua de tamarindo * Mojito FOOD + DRINKS: The pupusas and tamal came out first, and were a great way to start off the meal! The tamal was tender went especially well with the crema, and the pupusas were pretty solid. The curtido was really good here - nice and tangy. La picadita was a nice way for us to sample a whole bunch of Salvadoran bites that we were craving as a lighter break between the other dishes - the tortillas and tostones especially. But the star of the show was the steak obviously! Very well seasoned and juicy. The baleada came out last and was also delicious with tons of fresh avocado. I do wish we got the one with egg, but maybe next time. The aguas were pretty standard, but great to wash down the food. The mojito was okay, but a little too sweet. SERVICE: Super friendly service and food came out fairly fast. VIBES: Spacious and lots of seating - great for catching up with friends or family. BOTTOM LINE: Pretty solid place to get your Salvadoran food fix - hope to come back sometime.

Carne Fajitas, full of flavor and very well cooked.

Amazing experience, my first time trying Salvadorian food, awesome customer service. Cute restaurant.

I'd have given it a 4* but then the bill came with a credit card charge that just ruined the experience. Any restaurant that charges for water or credit card fees, to go containers etc... should consider some other industry as these are standard expenses. I won't be back. I had a little difficulty ordering as there were too many choices for this hungry tummy and decided to try the Rice with Calamari and Shrimp. The server recommended I try something else since a previous customer didn't like it as it's an acquired taste for non Latin diners. I told her that I've an extremely cultured palette and didn't think that would be an issue unless the food wasn't cooked properly. My meal came out with a cute presentation to include my order of sweet plantains (maduros) with a side of bread (pan) that was fresh off the oven. The rice was moist and there were 2 large prawns with a bunch of shrimp and calamari pieces.

Ordered beef soup medium size and it was delicious! The restaurant definitely doesn't skimp out on the beef, the soup had huge chunks of beef and the meat was really tender. I loved the vegetables and broth too. For less than $10, this was an amazing dish! The spicy pickled vegetables were good too and looked fresh. The pupusa with cheese and chicharones was delicious. Everything was delicious! Server was Carlos and he was attentive, friendly, and professional. Will definitely come back again!

Unfortunately the beef soup was terrible. I always order this soup in other Salvadoran restaurants and never, ever had I tried such a greasy broth. It could be the bottom of the pan because it is 3:30 pm, but this is not healthy nor tasty. A couple of fatty beef pieces I found in the soup. (I left it as shown on the picture) The pupusa was delicious and the Carne asada dish was fine. They should be more careful with the soups. Not returning to this place because I can get better for less price. I live in Miami.

They have free parking and are open late. We had the beef soup which tasted homemade. The service was also good as the 2 severs worked nicely together.

The food was amazing, the music was and atmosphere was just right and the service was fast. There's hidden parking in the back on a one way. I had a great time with my family on New Years!

I've been coming here for over a year now. I will not lie, the place has a funny smell, almost like wet rag and roach spray.......aside from thay, the food is great for the price. Came here one night after happy hour. Server was very nice. She helped us with food options and even offered us a surf and turf. I loved everything but the ceviche. it was very dry and you can tell that the fish was sitting in the lime for so long that it was beyond cooked from the acid. They also have a DJ outside and karaoke

This was my receipt. I try to give an extra tip based on effort of the waiter But I didn't

Their antojito atlacatl is one of the best option, because you can try their chicken, cheese, yuca frita and some more.

It was extremely hot and humid outside so we sat inside, but I was surprised to see how many people were sitting outside. Javier was our server and he was wonderful. He took good care of us and gave us great food suggestions. I got their croissant egg sandwich and that was great. The side sauce it came with was perfect for the sandwich. The Shakshuka was okay--perfectly edible, but nothing memorable. The Steak & Eggs was pretty much the same: decent, but definitely not worth the premium price. The biggest disappointment was the pancakes. They were dense, had noticeable lumps in the batter, and were nowhere near as light and fluffy as good pancakes should be. The syrup also didn't taste like real maple syrup, which was surprising considering how expensive everything is. Speaking of prices, Café Bastille is seriously overpriced for what it delivers. The restaurant also wasn't cool enough inside--the air conditioning struggled to keep the space comfortable, which made the meal less enjoyable. The one bright spot was the service. Our server was friendly, attentive, and did an excellent job throughout the meal. One more thing that is becoming increasingly frustrating in Miami: the bill already included a mandatory 20% gratuity. While I always tip for good service, automatically adding 20% regardless of the experience feels excessive. This trend is getting out of control and takes away the customer's ability to reward service based on merit. Overall, this feels like a place designed more for tourists than for locals. Nice presentation and good marketing, but the food simply doesn't justify the prices. Unfortunately, I wouldn't come back.

The standout of the entire meal was the tres leches French toast an absolute 10/10. It was rich, perfectly sweet, and honestly one of the best brunch items I've had. The seasonal fruit platter was also a 10/10 so fresh and beautifully presented with honeydew, pineapple, blueberries, strawberries, watermelon, and a side of blueberry yogurt that tied everything together perfectly. The breakfast burrito, however, was more of a 5/10 very basic and didn't stand out compared to the other dishes we tried. Overall, the experience was still enjoyable, especially because of the incredible French toast and fresh fruit platter. Food Quality: We ordered burgers, which unfortunately were overcooked. My husband decided to send his back, and while the second attempt was better, it still didn't hit the mark. We also tried the fried chicken sandwich, which was decent but fell short of the excitement promised in the menu description. Hunger vs. Quality: I was too hungry to send my burger back, so I ended up with a well-done burger that lacked the juicy flavor I was hoping for. It's disappointing when you anticipate a delicious meal, only to have it miss the mark. Pricing: I also found the prices a bit steep, especially for the drinks. The juices felt overly expensive compared to the overall dining experience. In summary, while Cafe Americano has potential, my experience was just okay. The food quality and value didn't quite align with our expectations. I might consider giving it another try in the future, but I'd approach it with a bit more caution.
