I had the best Arroz con pollo here. It's so good. The sauce is amazing and there's lots of grilled onions. My only issue with the dish is you don't get much rice. It comes with a salad and tortillas. I hear there is an amazing happy hour deal here if you sit by the bar so you should try to take advantage of that. I also saw that they hand make guacamole in front of you so I'd also like to try that. They also give you fresh made chips with beans and a spicy salsa. The salsa was amazing and they were happy to give me more when requested. The only reason why I reduced it by one star is because of the service. I think they had plenty of servers, and the servers were polite, however it took a long time to get my food (which could just be the kitchen) but then I had To get up and ask for to go boxes and my check. I went at a time (late afternoon) when I think staff was changing but they could be better about managing customers in the future. That being said I literally can't wait to go back. We come here once or twice a week because the food and drinks are so great! I've tried many things on the menu and they've all been delicious. The posole and tacos rancheros are two of my favorites. They really treat you like family here and it's such a great atmosphere. i popped in from coming back from a hike in Knights Ferry as i was craving their table side made guacamole and house made chips. i love they added the outside with all the twinkle lights. everything was on point. although i don't care for smokey flavored salsa... they brought the green salsa verde which was delicious. i will definitely be back to try that green sauce on an enchilada. read more

Disappointed in how our Parrilla special took so long to get to our table... Being sitting down for almost an hour and with two little children was a Hussle. Been here lots of times and never has this happened to me. Not crispy at all.. actually didn't even seem fried.. looked like it was just warmed and then rolled.. like a standard burritos barley any sour cream or guacamole came with it. Went to get drinks and dinner with my boyfriend. They paid no attention to us and finally about 20 minutes after we sat down took our drink and food order. 5 minutes later came back with our drinks. Another table came and sat down and we noticed they got their food before us. Been one of our favorites for a few years but recent Friday nite take out was a Bomb! My favorite Tapatia was 1/3 size it used to be, bottom corn tortilla must have gotten burned to the pan and there was not more than 1/4 cup of salad on top. Ordered 2 orders of flour chips to go with the bean dip ( O.K.) and most were hard and stale and the other order was corn- not ordered and a bit greasy. Lose your chef or what?? Hubby had Fajitas that were pretty good and should have been at the normal dinner prices. ouch! read more
