El Farolito is a solid Mexican food chain in SF. It has multiple locations and some locations are cash only but this location in North Beach/Chinatown accepts card. They're also open late and close at 2am so late nights can be filled with many drunk people but a must for some food to soak up that alcohol. I was craving a carne asada super burrito for a while now and it hit the spot, good with both red and green sauce. Their quesadillas look really filling too. And also can't go wrong with tacos. They're fast and efficient and they also have chips too. It's a pretty cozy spot so there is seating inside, no outdoor seating but perfectly ok to enjoy your food out there or even take out. Huge portions for a pretty decent price. There's street parking but it can get very busy, there are some parking garages in the area and 24 hour ones too.

Omg, i will be dreaming about these tacos. First time on the west coast and now i get what people say about the Mexican food here. I got the chicken and shrimp tacos to try and loved the simplicity. I wish we had these on the east. The food comes out fast and hot. I cannot wait to come back. This place will forever be in my SF itinerary.

Did you really go to SF if you didn't stop by El Farolito? Took my friends here during their first visit to SF. Found street parking nearby on a Sunday around 7:30pm. It was somewhat busy with limited indoor seating, but service was very quick. I got the veggie burrito and my friends ordered the Al Pastor burrito for pick-up - everything was ready within 5 minutes. Both cash and card are accepted Favorite burritos ever!! Any day I go to the city and get an El Farolito burrito is a good day. Flavorful and huge portion sizes. Can't believe one only costs about $10! This location is just as good as the Mission ones. Will be coming back!

If you Google "best burritos in San Francisco" this comes up on a lot of lists and they are correct The place is small and busy, but we got a table after we ordered. Very friendly staff and it smelled SO good. We debated on getting nachos but I had seen pictures of the burritos and I didn't think I would have room to eat it all, and I was correct. This burrito was the size of my forearm! I ordered the Burrito Regular because I didn't want the avocado but it was still an epic sized burrito. HIGHLY recommend!

Quick counter service. This spot is located in north beach. I like that it was very affordable, $10/super burrito. I thought the quality of meat was on the lower end. But good for a quick and cheap bite. Great tortilla, good guac, salsa was mild, good beans and rice and cheese. Not the biggest fan of the flan.

I have been here 2 times and I cannot recommend this place enough!! The food is SUPER CHEAP and very very delicious. The burritos are also super big and very fulling! The staff are super nice and they even wrapped up my left over food in foil to take home! The inside has plenty of space to sit down depending on what time you go there might be a line but it is definitely worth the wait. They also make the food really quickly and you should not be waiting that long!

It was one of those late nights in the city when the club lights were fading, the music was still ringing in our ears, and all we could think about was food. Me and the homies were starving and craving something hearty, so my roommate, a Bay Area native, told us about this spot he swore by. We pulled up, half-tired and half-hyped, ready to eat. Safe to say, this is now our go to post club burrito place! We loved it so much that we came back the next time we went out. We ordered the big shareable quesadillas, and boy, they weren't kidding, they were huge and perfect for sharing. They also gave us a generous portion of guac and sour cream, which hit the spot. This place is officially my must eat and number one spot in SF!

While not quite the same as the two other El Faralito in the Mission. This location is still legit. Same flavors and great prices. Parking is a bitch in north beach take Waymo Just as clean as their other locations Fantastic Al Pastor Large portions Im a fan

Definitely slept on Taqueria spot. Came here on lunch after a co worker recommended the burrito. Got a asada super burrito and a asada taco. Flavorful and amazing.Place is empty which is surprising, but I was in and out quick. There's only street parking for this location, but man this is a gem. Check this place out if you're ever in SF I'm sorry I don't which part of the city it's in.

Great selection of tacos meats from Al pastor to lengua! Large portions but the style of each taco is cooked fairly the same way and they all needed just a bit more seasoning to help take them to the next level. Prices are low and service is fast though which make this an awesome late night run kind of taco place if you're looking to satisfy your crave!

Large portions and a decent spot in North Beach! Seems better as a late night food. Got the the carne asada super burrito which was pretty good but nothing crazy.

Overall: hole in the wall vibes with good but not amazing food Food: +ceviche was nice and citrusy +tostada was crispy and fragrant -shrimp and chicken were a little overcooked -the camarones had a mountain of garlic on them Service: They're busy, but kind and attentive. Fast ordering and food prep. Ambiance: On par for hole in the wall vibes. Homey vibes.

This is my always go-to spot for the super burritos and quesadillas! The portions are huge and the flavors are great!

Despite how packed it was, the restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was lively, and everyone working there was incredibly friendly. I ordered the burrito while my friends went with a variety of tacos. After trying both, I actually think the tacos are the stronger option. The burrito was flavorful and packed with a generous amount of guacamole, but it was very sloppy. With all the delicious juices from the meat and veggies and no rice to soak everything up, it fell apart pretty quickly. Thank goodness there is a single restroom in the back, which came in handy afterward to wash up. The tacos, on the other hand, were btter balanced and held together much better while still delivering plenty of flavor. The prices were also very reasonable considering how popular the place is.

For two carne asada tacos and an al pastor quesadilla, they charged us $25. No idea what the cost breakdown is since they don't have a menu lol Service was prompt and friendly. They have pickled onions with sliced habaneros and a few different salsas. I like the red salsa, creamy green one (kinda spicy), and the creamy habanero (very spicy). The tacos were good. Pretty decent amount of meat. The quesadilla was also good with a decent ratio of cheese and meat. I thought the al pastor was missing that typical strong savory-sweet flavor though. They also added pineapple in the quesadilla. There are a lot of options in the area but this place is worth a try.
