    Chicken quesadilla
    Alisa P.

The food is hearty and affordable, but lacks flavor a bit for me. I was planning to try this place for a while as it's a true SF staple but was disappointed by the quesadilla I picked. Just tons of cheese and bland chicken. Barely could finish a half of it. The wet burrito had more taste thanks to the sauce so that's probably the safe choice if you can manage to eat that huge thing. The service was very friendly though and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambiance of a lively Mexican spot was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I haven't had a mission style burrito in awhile. My old favorite was El Faro at 20th & Folsom (not El Farolito). I didn't want to make the travel so went here which is at 6th & Market. I got a carne asada super burrito. It was fine. I'm used to fatter burritos. Bf got an al pastor Torta. It was heavy! We both did not finish and have like half left. Service was fast and friendly and they do take cards. Ambience - small - just a few tables. I went at 12:30 on a weekday (Thursday) and there was no line. You get free chips and salsa in your bag - just be careful taking your meal out because the chips can make a mess. We got some Mexican coca colas. $36.30 for 2 items and 2 sodas. Pretty pricey, but so is everything else these days.

Burrito Mojado (a Big One) Only

The burrito mojado is a massive heaping pile of burrito goodness that is not to be taken lightly. Insanely flavorful salsa and red sauce, meat grilled to perfection, and cheesy cheese that just hits home. It is a massive portion though - perhaps a better idea to split with someone than to just down the whole thing on your own. And you will be drinking lots of water after. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is also a fun lively place; there's a mariachi band that comes in once in a while and plays music for a minute or so, it gets pretty loud and you can't really hear much when this happens.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Super Burrito and Burrito Mojado

It seems this place has good days and bad days? Fortunately I got a good day. I and my partner are white as wonder bread and experienced only politeness. I didn't ask for a receipt but the total I paid seemed correct according to the menu prices. I asked for no cilantro (soap gene) on ours and they were happy to accommodate us. My cantaloupe agua fresca was refreshing and the super burrito was top 2 best burritos I've ever had. I'm not from around here so take that as you will. But I've eaten a lot of Mexican food and Tex Mex and Mexican American food in my life and this was amazing! The al pastor didn't have the pineappley redness that I'm used to, it was its own thing, almost tasted like a hint of cinnamon, perfectly cooked. If you want something "wholesome" and well rounded I recommend the super burrito, which yes, is $14~, but it is also two meals. If you want something real cheesy and decadent I can recommend the burrito mojado. On both the tortilla tasted really nice as well and the avocado was perfectly ripe.

    Wet tongue burrito
    Helen L.

Wow, this is my second burrito within a week? What's up with that? This was better of the two. I had the tongue burrito mojado. Wet burrito with enchiladela sauce. Split in 2 meals. It was too gigantic. Loved the enchilada sauce. Got free chips which complemented with each bite. Cheese was melty. Chunks of tongue. Overall, delicious. It was only $15.50.

    Alambres
    Chloe L.

The food is delicious and affordable, I HIGHLY recommend the alambres. Best I've ever had. The staff is quite nice, very friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a lowkey neighborhood taqueria, don't expect glamour: but if you want one of the best meals you'll ever eat, this is the spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Super taco with carne asada
    Andrea H.

This place has great food in generous portions. I ordered the super taco with carne asada. It came with chips and two kinds of salasa. There was so much meat on the taco that I had to request a fork to eat some of it before I could pick it up. The service was fast and friendly. There's plenty of seating. I'd gladly go here again.

    Extra Chips

This is a go-to for good burritos! The food is always delicious and they're flexible about adding/removing ingredients. The chips and salsa to start is also a nice touch for an otherwise casual place. So good for late night or low key eats!

My friend and I were in the area and picked up some takeout for dinner. Note: there's $10 minimum charge for card, but most menu items are over this amount so not hard to hit We came by Tuesday around 5 pm and it was pretty empty. It's a tiny storefront on Market St, though it's quite noticeable because of the bright yellow name. The inside is quite small as well, though there are a couple tables to eat at. I wouldn't recommend coming here with more than 4 people. We paid $29 for the carnitas plate ($14.75) and a veggie burrito ($12). They provide nachos + salsa even for takeout orders which we appreciated. The carnitas were a bit dry and too salty but otherwise good. Portions were huge, I only managed to finish half the food and ate the other half the next day. My friend enjoyed his veggie burrito, but he was a bit bummed it didn't have any salsa and he had to keep adding it in with every bite.

A good spot for some fast casual mexican food! I got a carne asada super burrito, and it was $16 which is a bit on the pricier side for a joint like this. The meat had a decent amount of chewy bits (bad) but the flavor and everything else was delicious. You also get a small basket of free chips and salsa with the order.

$8.03 without tip for a Large Horchata

For once in my life, I was forced to eat like a civilized man. On the outside, everything looked normal, but in the inside it was anything but normal: I had to open my third eye center so that I could ascend my primal instinct of going to town on this burrito. Equipped with a knife, I sawed thru that behemoth methodically - too fast and she would burst open, too slow & she would give me the cold side eye. I am the burrito slayer. Cash only, was very very well priced for the size (about $13. Receipt didn't make it out alive).

I have dined here many times in the past, and this is a cash-only restaurant. I ordered the Regular Burrito with Beef Steak ($10.25). The regular burrito comes with a flour tortilla, rice, beans, salsa, onions, and cilantro, plus your choice of meat or vegetarian. Meat choices listed on the menu: * Al Pastor - Marinated Pork * Carnitas - Deep Fried Pork * Chile Verde - Pork Green Sauce * Chorizo - Mexican Sausage * Carne Asada - Steak * Lengua - Beef Tongue * Pollo - Chicken * Cabeza - Beef Head * Tripas - Intestines I asked the cashier which meat was most popular, and he recommended the beef steak, which had a slight hint of spiciness. The burrito came with pinto beans and rice. I forgot to ask if I could substitute black beans. The burrito wasn't too salty, and the beef steak was just okay. I also think the $10.25 Carne Asada burrito is a good deal. At other taquerias, carne asada is often an additional charge or the burrito costs more when you choose steak. I usually ask for a receipt even when paying cash. When I checked my receipt, I noticed I was charged an additional $0.25 for "Bolsa To Go" (bag) even though I was dining in and didn't receive a to-go bag. It's not about the $0.25, but I think it's important for a business to have integrity and charge customers only for what they actually receive. I hope this isn't something being charged to other dine-in customers as well. Overall, I would come back to try a different meat, but next time I'll make sure to clearly say dine-in and check my receipt to make sure I wasn't charged for a to-go bag.

I got my food about 10 mins after ordering. I went with what was popular. The Dorada (toasted) super carne asada burrito was great, but I wish it was more toasty. We came here on a random Thursday at 3 pm and surprisingly, the line still almost reached the end of the block. Luckily, the line moves pretty quickly and the food is solid, but be prepared to wait for a bit. My favorite meats here are the cabeza and the lengua. The cabeza is super fatty and tender and has the amazing shreddy quality of a slow cooked meat. It had the soft melty texture of collagen and was super delicious. The lengua is also really good. It was super tender and soft and had the distinct taste of beef tongue but wasn't too overpowering. The carne asada and carnitas had a good flavor but were a little bit dry for me. I think they would be better in a super taco or burrito where you have the extra fat from the cheese and avocado. My only complaint about this place is the price. I realize that everything in SF is expensive, but over $5 for a single taco and almost $9 for a single super taco is pretty egregious. There's food trucks all over the Bay Area offering cheaper (and almost, if not, just as good) tacos in my opinion.
