A hidden gem! This is authentic. Everything is so flavorful, the salsas are spicy and pack a punch. The tortillas and Gorditas are all handmade too. The owners are so friendly and attentive to all guests. The dinning area is clean and cozy. I ordered a gordita de birria which is made with goat (the Jalisco way) two Carme asada tacos and one Al pastor.

Came by today with a few friends and the quality of the food is still SO AMAZING. The Al Pastor tacos are a MUST and the carne asada quesadilla! So delicious! They're doing an excellent job social distancing and I ca see the staff are keeping the restaurant clean and disinfecting in between customers. I absolutely adore this taco shop!

I have been to so many authentic Mexican joints and this place is by far my favorite! I usually order the guajolote de asada or the huaraches de asada... YUMM! My fiancé and I took my sister here for the first time and she loved it! This place is about 30 mins away, but soooo worth it!!!

Best tacos ever! Very authentic Mexican food with handmade tortillas! Tacos al pastor and birria are amazing. Consomé is great too. Great service and very affordable prices!

The service was very slow to get 6 tacos. The al pastor was okay but not enough spice and pineapple. The salsa was good with the beef tacos.

I had lunch here and really enjoyed the pastor tacos. Everything is cooked to order. The salsa they bring to the table is really good! Very authentic Mexican food. The establishment seat around ten tables. I left feeling comfortable, but thought I could have eaten a bit more for the price I paid. I do want to try the pastor burrito the next time I visit. The pastor meat is on a rotisserie with pineapple and onion on top. Pretty cool to see how that meat is prepared!

I was looking for a new taco joint nearby and came across some reviews for El Gallo so I decided to give it a shot. First impression, this place was definitely a low key no frills type of place but the ladies cooking were genuinely nice so that's always a big plus. I ordered 2 Al Pastor tacos and Carne Asada Guajolote. The tacos were awesome, the meat was full of flavor and I prefer simpler tacos so the garnishes added were spot on. I wanted to like the Guajolote more than I did but it was just ok, the bread was the best part. Not nearly enough beans or cheese. I will definitely try other items in the future, the consomé on the weekends looks like it could be a winner.

From curb this plase looks like any other run down Mexican street food spot. Once you step inside it is anything but. The two ladies in the kitchen were friendly and efficient. The place smelled clean and of fresh cooked tortillas. I ordered three tacos and a jarritos orange soda the total came to six bucks (little spendy). One of the ladies brought out fresh cilantro, onions, limes, and radishes as well as thee kinds of salsa!!! The meat was savory and the tortillas fresh made. I will definatly be back!

Authentic Mexican food sounded perfect and I knew good things were in store when I arrived at 11:30am on a Friday and all of inside and outside tables were full. The inside is quaint but has quite a few tables. They also have tables out front in the shade (to call it patio seating may be a stretch, just simple tables and chairs on the exterior of the entrance). You order your food at the counter and I didn't study the menu ahead of time but the ladies taking my order were patient with me. I ordered a shredded beef taco and a cheese enchilada with rice and beans. Nothing fancy for my first time as it's hard to golf on a full stomach! I found the only open table and then hit up the salsa bar. They have 4 or 5 different salsas/hot sauces and a few other goodies. I got a small cup of each sauce and all of them were quite good. My food was colorful, flavorful and just the right away to give me some energy without being lethargic. I could go on about a few other nice things but it seems most of East Mesa already knows about this place given the high scores on Yelp from a lot of reviewers. Nothing to prevent me from giving a 5* review at this time. I look forward to trying some more dishes in the future.

The parking lot outside was parking so we thought we may have to wait, but inside was not busy yet and we were seated immediately. I ordered the smoked chicken enchilada as I saw it was a Yelp favorite and it was delicious. I ended up taking half of it home since we all filled up on chips and salsa before our meal. This restaurant is decorated so cutely. I love how there is a Baja influence with all the surf boards but also southwest appeal. There is plenty of seating and tables for big groups. Even with other people yapping around us, the noise level was perfect to enjoy company. 10/10 would recommend.

Everything tasted amazing and was served fresh and in a timely manner. We will most certainly be back (and you should visit, too!)!
