I ordered a grilled taco plate ($12.47) which features three flour tacos, with choice of meat, refried beans, rice, homemade pico de gallo, and another sauce (tasty, but not sure what it was). I got one each of chicken, carnitas (pork) and carne asada (steak) tacos. My husband predictably? got a taco salad ($9.62) with ground beef, refried beans, iceberg lettuce, tomato, shredded cheese, and sour cream, served in a deep fried shell. All of the food was tasty and was as authentic as the Mexican food we ate in Tucson. Quantities were excellent. I couldn't eat "my half", and turned the plate back to my husband to finish off. Our waitress was attentive, checking on us regularly to see if we needed anything. A few small quibbles -- we prefer a salsa with some chunks in it; this one was over-processed for our preference. Also, the pico de gallo was more liquidy than we'd prefer. It made the rest of the food a bit wet. Beyond the restaurant's control, taxes are high at 11.3%, with the town of Mineral getting 6% whereas the state of Virginia gets 5.3%. We enjoy this restaurant, and will return.

Obviously that was a false statement because they would've never allowed a patriot to walk away without paying for drinks from the bar this was just a way to justify them overcharging him. Although a refund was issued after I raised the issue, it was still inaccurate only $30 was returned instead of the full $34.39, excluding tax. Additionally, no apology or clear explanation was provided. This experience reflects poorly on the establishment's billing accuracy and transparency. Customers should carefully review their charges, as pricing appears inconsistent for identical items. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this establishment.
