The only place you should be going for Mexican food!! If it weren't for previous reviews I would have drove right past this place. You wouldn't expect such amazing food to come out of this tiny drive thru restaurant, but trust me... it's so worth the stop! I tried the chicken tacos and the chicken enchiladas. BEST SPICY PORK TACOS! I've driven by this place so many times and never thought anything of it until someone at work mentioned it. Stopped by here for lunch, and the drive thru was packed like usual but now I know why. There tacos are so good! I got the 8 spicy pork and 8 steak. There tortillas are delicious and the meat is seasoned so well. Very friendly worker at the drive thru. Highly recommend coming here for lunch or whenever you have a craving for tacos. I haven't lived in Tennessee for 4 years but to this day, I think about this places green sauce. When I'd go there, I'd buy a large container of it and sip on it on my drive home. More of a 4.5 Star but as y'all know when it's normally good service i will round up. I must admit the way they do tacos is not my favorite. My friends swear it is just like how they do it in Cali and that's fine but I happen to originate from the Midwest (shhhh. Let's keep that on the down low) so I happen to enjoy a crunchy taco shell, authentic or no. We frequent this place and normally never have issues but recently their quality has declined. We noticed our burritos have gotten smaller, they once forgot our side of rice and beans, when ordering multiple burritos they no longer label what is what but tonight is the worst. We ordered a carne asada plate and every single slice of carne was burnt. My daughter was only able to eat the rice and beans out of the entire thing. I go to El Grullense whenever I get out that way almost every time. It's hard to pass up. If you had to cook the food at home it would take an hour to prepare even if you had a food processor. The flavors are excellent, and spicy. I am eating it right now, and my scalp is sweating. I took a bite of a slender green pepper, very hot. I am working up the courage to take another bite. I've read that really hot spicy peppers increases the flavor of food. I don't know if that is true. The meals include an entree corn tortillas, green (avocado?), and red, sauce, salsa, salad, refried beans, mexican rice. There was even a bay leaf in the beef dish. read more

But I noticed cars in line at all hours of the day and night and thought that many people can't be wrong. I always get the tacos; I guess I will have to give myself to order other items off the menu. I'm disappointed... I was super excited to try this place after looking at the reviews. I got to the location and the line was into the street which made me super excited! So I finally get close to the window and notice the person taking orders wasn't wearing a mask which I thought to myself she appears to be making sure she stays at a distance. Not a huge issue and I wasn't able to fully see in the kitchen at the time. So I pull around to get my food and saw NONE of the staff wore mask. This upsets me because it's a global pandemic! One of my friends recommended me this place. And tbh, I've become a regular since that day. I've tried all their meat tacos. And my favorite so far has got to be the beef tongue. It's so tender and flavorful. I also tried their menudo. And it's so goooodddd. I'd recommend this place if you like street tacos or Mexican street food in general. Just a tip though, try to go there when they first open (10am) so you'll get fresh food plus less traffic. I was there today around 11 and only had 3 cars in front of me. I went during dinner rush before (5-6pm) and there were like 8-9 cars in-front of me and about the same amount behind. Well, shut the front door...I spoke too soon. About one week after eating at West Coast Taco Shop (WCTS) and reporting that they have the best street taco in Clarksville, I decided to give this place a try. Got the five taco plate with one barbacoa, two pastor, and two carne asada. Folks, this is the best street taco in Clarksville. Hands down. End of discussion. WCTS comes pretty close, but these tacos need nothing added...no salsa, no guacamole, no queso...nada! The meat is moist, the onions and cilantro are fresh. One thing to mention, that is of MAJOR importance are the tortillas. They make a huge impact on the street tacos and these are just right. Most places street tacos on tortillas that are too thick and taste like a mouthful of corn; other places serve street tacos on tortillas that are too thin and fall apart causing one to lose all of that deliciousness inside. That is not the place here! So, there are two five star street taco spots in Clarksvegas and this place just edges out the other place to reign supreme as the King of the Street Tacos. January 1st not much was open at 8pm in the evening but on google showed they were open and even gave the convenient option of ordering to go online. I did this and spent between and 30-40 dollars. I went there and as soon as I was arriving saw a man in the window close the blinds of the drive thru window. after sitting there at the window for about 5 minutes I started to knock and beep to get them to open, I was hoping if they'd just closed at least they'd be willing to give me my food. I was there about 15 minutes before they even decided to acknowledge my existence only to tell me they're closed and they couldn't refund me because they were only prep workers. I had a pickup time of 8:23 pm for my order and to be honest it just irritates the heck out of me when a company will open its hands to take your money even though they're closed. Thanks for nothing. We've had the chicken and steak quesadillas, dozens of tacos and my favorite, their TACO SALAD .
