The food was delicious! I order combo number 4. Cheese red enchiladas with rice and beans. My partner had 4 tacos that were delicious too. Place was pretty full and had to wait around 15 minutes to get our food but it waS worth it. The tacos are well served with plenty of meat (you will need a fork to finish the meat that falls of your taco). They have a decent salad bar. And ice cold mexican coke. We discovered this restaurant a week ago and so glad we did and ordered twice already. Totally addicted to the quesabirra tacos with all the trimmings. The habanero hot sauce that comes with tacos is amazing. Had the meatball stew for breakfast this morning and it's got just the right kick and tons of veggies. I literally drank every last drop of the broth. If I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars I would. Literally have no criticism and have enjoyed everything we've tried so far. They do a great job packing up tons of extras for delivery orders which is much appreciated. With winter in full swing I'll be getting the meatball stew often as it cleared out my sinuses. read more

I come here almost every week for my fix & it never disappoints. They put a lot of care & love into all of their dishes & I would 100% recommend this place to everybody. One of the best burritos Ive had in a long while. Asada burrito automatically comes with onion cilantro beans rice, added white cheese(Monterey jack). Not really expensive. Medio Litre of coke. This place is off the hooks! It might be dumpy looking from the outside, but they have great Mexican food! I always seem to miss this place when I'm driving on Main Street due to the light rail construction, so keep your eyes open. I love that they serve breakfast all day which is quite lovely. I always get the egg and cheese burrito with chunks of avocado. I like that they don't use mashed up guacamole in there. Great stuff! Their Harina Fish Tacos are awesome too! read more

This is now my favorite restaurant. I came in early for the total package when it comes to menudo. I was promptly greeted with an amazing broth and perfectly prepared trotter and stomach that I have been waiting for since arriving in Phoenix. The agua fresca is just one more bonus on amazing food. I had the melon, which was spectacular with a prominent clean cantaloupe flavor with just the right balance of sweet. My wife had enchiladas with horchata. It was so great, I had to come back and this time my wife brought her brothers. They both have the fortune of living here in the east valley and get to sample the magic that is the menu here at their leisure. I had to have the birre stew, which was just what I was seeking in a slow cooked goat that surpasses every beef roast I have tasted in recent memory. We just moved here from California. We've been on a mission to fine the best taqueria and have tried many. This by far was our favorite so far. Drive Thru is a plus. We ordered the Cubana torta a carne asada burrito and a couple tacos. Salsa was FIRE! Definitely will be back. read more

It doesn't look like much from the outside. But, don't let the appearance fool you. This has been the best Mexican I have had since moving to Arizona a year ago. The chicken was absolutely phenomenal! I had a chicken burrito and a chicken taco. I couldn't get enough. It was so damn good! They have plenty of options to choose from and the prices were reasonable. For two dinners and two drinks, It was only about 21 dollars not including tip. Food is still great. But owner can be a jerk if your white and speak english or even Mexican and speak English. He acts racist. He speaks Spanish to customers and if you speak English he tells you to learn Spanish. He will say the word in English and then tell you what it means in Spanish and insists you say the word or sentence after he says it. Happens every time I'm there. And he is a jerk about it I just want to order my meal. We are in America. Not Mexico. Speak English to English speaking customers. I don't go to Mexico and insist they speak English to me. read more

Came here with my 8 year old before a show at Mesa Arts Center, and the young man was easily bilingual which was good for this gringo. He took our order and we got our drinks. None of them tasted that good...compared to many similar taco joints I've been to in the past. The fish tacos for instance simply had way too much stuff on top which made it difficult to eat. We had a horrible experience. We ordered the Birria which did not taste fresh at all. The meat was beginning to disintegrate right away when touched with the spoon. This should have been our sign to stop eating. We could not even get through the whole meal and we were all sick at the end with severe abdominal pain.
