The empanadas were delicious and so was the linguini pasta. Both my wife and sister had the Costeletas de cerdo. The waitress was wonderful and had a friendly way of making us feel welcome. It was a party of 5 with a well behaved newborn. Last time we were here was doing the coronavirus pandemic. My wife and I had to dine outdoors. We never forgot El Morfi Grill. Today we sadly learned that this establishment is closing to economics hard times . Too expensive to run a small Argentinian athentic restaurant in Glendale, CA, let alone on Brand Bl. Best wishes to the owner and the staff.

First of all the food was a must have. It's hard to find good Argentinian food and when you do this is the spot. The service is what you would expect from a small yet well known restaurant. We had the "Parrillada Para Dos," it was fantastic, giving a little more than "for two" but taking home left overs was no problem at all. To go with it, the "Guiso de Lentejas" hit the spot. I cannot wait to come back for more.

    Business closure notice.

Sadly they closed permanently as of 2/15/2026. I just found this out today when my friend and I were planning to get together at El Morfi for lunch. This is a family run great Argentinian restaurant in the city of Glendale. Foods, services, & ambience get all 5 stars in my opinions.

I have always walked past by this restaurant but have never really tried it until today. After a long day at work, I decided to meet up with my mom and treat her here just because... My mom and I shared their housemade sangria which was so refreshing! We started with the ham and cheese empanada and chicken empanada. Both were such a delight especially if you add the chimichurri. We then ordered the Paella Valenciana and a plate of penne pasta with meat and red sauce. We got fooled because apparently the paella is good for two people but man that dish was big, hearty and for sure delicious. I loved how they were super generous with the fresh seafood. The plate of pasta was also very delicious and is also good for sharing.

My mother and I went in on a whim a few weeks ago and were not disappointed. The empanadas are absolutely delicious! The pastry was soft and fluffy while the filling was delicious and well-served. We ordered the churrasco, asado de tira, and spinach lasagna. The sauce on the lasagna was creamy and tasty without being overpowering. As for the meats, all were cooked to perfection, well seasoned, and super juicy. One of the best cut of meats I've had! The service can be a bit slow sometimes but considering this is a small-family run restaurant with only a handful of employees, it's completely understandable. Our server, Rene, was friendly and attentive and checked in on us frequently. Overall, a great experience and delicious food! If you get the chance or are in the area make sure you check out this neat little restaurant and support a small, family-run business! My recommendations: beef empanadas, asado de tira with garlic potatoes, sangria

Lovely, family-owned restaurant on Brand in Glendale. Who knew there was authentic Argentinian food in the valley that wasn't just meat skewers and tourists? Get there early, order the sangria and settle in for simple, home made fare. We started with the empanadas (must try) and shared the angus steak and chopped salad. Saved room for the flan (also home made) which was simple, tasty and filling. Others have commented on the service. For me, that's always a downside in family run places, I.e., just not enough people working. But the upside is you get to feel welcomed by someone who cares and knows the food coming out of the kitchen. Our server was clearly the mom and kept telling us "home made!" So sit back, relax and just enjoy!

    Paella Valenciana for 2

My family lured me In to this place. They loved their empanadas. Before going back to Nevada, they make sure to pick up some every time. We ordered the Paella Valenciana for 2. It was good enough for the 3 of us. We devoured it to the last bite (as shown in the picture ).

The restaurant looked pretty upscale so I wasn't sure it was the best option for us. When we went inside, it was reassuring that we could see a lot of families. They also chose a table for us that was perfect for our party in an enclosed space, and we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. I guess because I went in with zero expectations, I was pleasantly surprised. The service overall was pleasant. They had a kids menu, which was also nice. The food was not overpriced and the truffle rigatoni with sausage that the waiter recommended was fantastic. That was actually what my husband ordered. I wish I had taken the waiter's rec! My seafood pasta was also pretty good and I cleared the plate. My 3 kids were happy and ordered pizza, chicken fingers, and Mac n cheese. Overall, I would come back here. My only complaint was the kids meal said it came with a scoop of ice cream that was never served. We decided it was okay since we were going to get dessert somewhere else anyway.

I honestly think their manager doesn't know about these stuff to train them, sorry to be so straightforward!!! The Food is nothing special!!! Don't waste your money- you can get much better Italian food anywhere else. The only thing about this restaurant is the nice vibe which you get from Americana crowd and views if you sit outside!

I was reading this page and saw mixed reviews, so I decided to try it with my son and make my own determination. They have no parking but thankfully we found a spot on the side street. The restaurant is located on the ground level of an apartment building. They also have outdoor seating, but we sat inside. One restroom each for men/women (and super clean). We walked in and got a pleasant greeting from Mia. She was HANDS DOWN the best part of this experience and provided stellar customer service. She is so young and has a bright future ahead of her. Mia treated us with genuine kindness and was a pleasure to talk to during our dinner. She made sure we were well taken care of and our orders were to our exact specifications. This restaurant is very lucky to have someone as good as her working there. For our appetizers, we got the Cesar Salad ($17), Parmesan on the side, and Bruschetta ($17). I also asked Mia if they bring complimentary bread to the table and she said they do, upon request. She asked if we wanted olive oil or butter and I chose butter. My son and I both enjoyed the Bruschetta and thought it tasted very good. The bread was nicely toasted and the tomatoes were seasoned well. It was also a good portion, easily shareable between 2-3 people. The salad wasn't our favorite and we've definitely had better at other restaurants. The lettuce didn't taste too fresh and the dressing wasn't really that good. The portion size was good, though. For my entrée, I got the Spicy Rigatoni ($22) but I asked for it to be light on the spice and added shrimp (+$12). It tasted fine, nothing really to write home about. I had to ask Mia to microwave it for a minute because it wasn't hot. My son ordered the Chicken Parmigiana ($23) but asked for the chicken to be grilled instead of breaded. He said he enjoyed his dish and the tomato sauce had a good amount of garlic in it. For dessert, Mia was kind enough to bring out a complimentary Key Lime Cheesecake since she found out my son is celebrating his birthday in a few days. She was seriously impeccable. Honestly, the place is just really drab and boring. There isn't much decor and it feels like a slightly elevated diner that serves beer and wine. It was a Friday night and there was no one in there/no pickup orders. We were there from about 7:30pm-10pm when they closed and only 3 other parties came in. There is no music playing, which makes the atmosphere even more drab and lifeless. Its also super cold in there and I asked Mia to adjust the AC and even after she did, it was still cold. It's not an upbeat type of place at all but the food is decent and Mia's service is the best part. She herself is 10/5 stars, but for my overall experience, I'll stick with 4 stars this time.

She explained that they were short-staffed and had two brand new servers last Sunday and that she was frantically trying to take care of the cooking and the serving as well as greeting newcomers. That explanation makes sense and had we known that, we might have chosen to forego the reservation that day or not been upset. I appreciate her taking the time to get back to us and being so candid and self-effacing. It seems it was a confluence of unfortunate factors that led to us having a sub-par experience at a respected restaurant.

This place holds deep personal significance for me. My parents used to come here, and we visited often with my stepfather when he was alive. I have great family memories tied to this space. Our meal started traditionally with a bread basket served with cold butter. Because I was saving my appetite for a food charity event later that night, I stuck with the antipasto salad, while my mom and sisters enjoyed the chicken parmigiano, chicken piccata, and veal parmigiana. The food quality remains high, and the service was great. We enjoyed quick, polite service from a server who looked after us well. Tucked away in an unexpected corner of North Hollywood, you walk through the entrance and suddenly feel as though you've been transported to a breathtaking Italian garden. The ambiance is absolutely magical and easily ranks among my top 10 dining experiences in Southern California. I've been coming here for well over a decade, and it has never lost its charm. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, enjoying a romantic date night, meeting friends for brunch, or simply treating yourself to an unforgettable meal, Ca' Del Sole delivers every single time. The food is exceptional. Every dish is beautifully prepared with the quality, elegance, and attention to detail you'd expect from an upscale restaurant in France or Italy--but at prices that are surprisingly reasonable. It's rare to find a restaurant that feels this luxurious without the luxury price tag. Their brunch is outstanding, dinner is absolutely spectacular, and every meal feels like an occasion. The service is equally impressive. It's not unusual to spot an A-list celebrity dining here, but what I love most is that everyone is treated like a VIP. The hospitality is warm, genuine, and consistently exceptional. The staff has a way of making every guest feel welcome, appreciated, and completely taken care of. I especially love the beautiful cabanas and garden patio. It's one of those places where you find yourself lingering because you simply don't want the experience to end. Honestly, part of me wants to keep Ca' Del Sole a secret so I can always get a table--but restaurants this special deserve to be celebrated. If you're looking for incredible food, world-class service, unforgettable ambiance, and one of the most romantic dining experiences in Los Angeles, this is the place. Every visit reminds me why I keep coming back, and if I could, I'd happily celebrate every special occasion here.
