It has been some time since we were last here, though my wife has notes about her visit to this place from the 1990s! Our meal started with the bread and chimichirri. It was great! I ordered the Chicken Marsala with Marsala Sauce on the pasta (instead of Marinara). It was good, though the Marsala Sauce was a touch sweet for my taste, but I still enjoyed it. They are very generous with the mushrooms! My wife got the Entraña. (Skirt steak). The steak was very tasty. That, with the rice and sauce, made her day! We also ordered a Chicken Caesar salad. The empanadas were delicious and so was the linguini pasta. Both my wife and sister had the Costeletas de cerdo. The waitress was wonderful and had a friendly way of making us feel welcome. It was a party of 5 with a well behaved newborn. Last time we were here was doing the coronavirus pandemic. My wife and I had to dine outdoors. We never forgot El Morfi Grill. First of all the food was a must have. It's hard to find good Argentinian food and when you do this is the spot. The service is what you would expect from a small yet well known restaurant. We had the "Parrillada Para Dos," it was fantastic, giving a little more than "for two" but taking home left overs was no problem at all. To go with it, the "Guiso de Lentejas" hit the spot. My mom and I shared their housemade sangria which was so refreshing! We started with the ham and cheese empanada and chicken empanada. Both were such a delight especially if you add the chimichurri. We then ordered the Paella Valenciana and a plate of penne pasta with meat and red sauce. If this review was just based on how nice they were, then it would have been a five-star rating but unfortunately a couple things went wrong. Not their fault at all but Argentinian beer Quilmes was not so great and I wouldn't order it again. Meted provolone cheese with spices melted in a cast iron skillet. Tasty! 5/5 Capresse salad was standard. Good size for sharing. Tomatoes and mozzarella were fresh. 5/5 Moved on to the chicken Picata. This was just ok. Thin chicken breast lightly breaded with a lemon sauce served with spaghetti and marinara. Ehhhh chicken was a little dry and the sauce was more tart than flavorful. 3/5 Eggplant parmigiana was good. Not amazing. Been to a few traditional Italian places that made it better.
