    Seafood Platter
    William H.

I went to this place and I had no clue what is was. It's a Mexican seafood joint. I forgot to take a picture of the menu but my friends ate the food there as well as I and we'd say the food isn't bad. They ordered a seafood platter with all kinds of food on there. I just ate some fish tacos and they were really good....so I'd recommend the tacos. I took a picture of the platter. Again they said the platter seafood was good. I didn't touch it.

We came on a weekend. It was a little loud because there was a band playing live. Service was good the girl who took our order was very polite and was able to answer some questions Food definitely was good I really loved the ceviche mix The camarones a la diabla were okay I needed more spicy but that's just me. And the pescado zarandeado was Huge!! Even though it was the "small" ones lol it took at least 20+min to cook (they do warn you it takes time and it's also on the menu) great flavor on that fish. Overall it was good we definitely will be back to try other dishes

Service is ok. But the food wow. I thought it was nice piping hot and yummy. I personally think the empanadas were the best. Very rare to find a place that does seafood empanadas . The seafood in the pineapple was more sweet than anything else but it was for sure a fun different style of dish. Careful when you it, it's holds heat very well. I even love how they use the core of the pineapple has holders for the pineapple

This is a new place in Renton that keeps popping up on my yelp feed so I decided to check them out! Looking through the menu I was super excited as they are focus on seafood rather than the traditional mexican cuisine. The food: Large order of fish and shrimp ceviche - super fresh, very flavorful - huge portion Pescado Zarandeado - huge grilled fish, came with salad and rice and corn tortillas and green sauce. Super flavorful, love the green sauce and love the grilled marks on the fish. Unnecessary accompaniment: chowder crackers??? Not sure what it's for and why we got so many since chips were also provided. Siracha mayo sauce??? Not sure what this is for as well. The food alone would have been a 5 star, but I do have to knock them down a star for the music being so loud that you literally have to be 4-5 inch from them to talk and listen. I placed my order via phone and the waitress had to go somewhere else to hear what I was saying...

    Cantarito

The ambiance was great. They had a group in there playing songs for 35 dollars a song a piece!! That was crazy!! The food was not so good as last year that my family and I went. I think they changed cook cause it was very sloppy and everything tasted the same from the salsa from the chips to the salsa verde from the aguachile. The camarones al mojo did not even taste like mojo de ajo. The mejillones was made with the same sauce as the morcajete. We were very disappointed.

This spot is really good. The Mariscos taste fresh and always hits the spot! I've been coming here for a while now, since moving to Seattle.

Definitely a place to go to get an unusual dish....ceviche tower...waitresses were very friendly...only problem was the music was too loud...had to shout to talk to my hubby

Pros: Langoustin sauce is very delicious!! Service was amazing. They have a variety of liquor at the bar and the establishment is very clean! Cons: Mussels stayed in the broiler too long - making it dry. Camerones al mojo de ajo is okay, but the rice was a complete curve ball for us! It's uncle Ben's rice with veggies. We were NOT expecting that at all! However, I will say....I'd rather they splurge on the seafood than the rice, so I don't mind it. Expectations: Shared parking with nearby business. Booming mexican music - we loved it!

    La charola

Ok so we took my in laws here for dinner and ordered the super charola, loads of micheladas and of course the empanadas. To say that we left absolutely no crumbs would be an understatement. Our family absolutely loved it! They raved about the diablo or some spicy sauce and the rice, which caught us out of left field. Definitely a favorite for sure!

HIDDEN GEM! I have never seen so much seafood in a Mexican restaurant since Miami. It's almost overwhelming, it's hard not to try multiple things. Decided to stop in to see what the hype is about and I must say they have some good drinking food. Onto the food, as expected it will be a little bit pricer but totally worth it in my opinion. I love how they start you off with ceviche, and I believe it's made with fish. Everything we ordered was super flavorful & loaded! My favorite was the Langostinos & ceviche tower (check photos attached). The Langostinos had such a nice flavor with soooo much garlic. Service was great! Most likely will be coming here to drink & eat delicious food, must try.

They could nit be more correct but then they also should showcase their great staff of management and servers too. I actually had never been here before but now I will eat here every chance I get. To start, the restaurant is nautically beautiful inside and they have a wonderful bar area. There are tables inside and outside for dining and there are both booths and tables to choose from inside. Jenny was working the bar on the inside and she has the best personality. After our drinks were served, she engaged us in a little conversation and set us up with some settings and fresh baked bread. Off to a great start, we looked to see what the other bar patrons were ordering because everything smelled so good. For my happy hour, there was a discount on the bar drinks which was great. The appetizer choices from the menu were wonderful and they too had a small discount. We started our food sampling with an order of Dungeness Crabby Deviled Eggs. They were perfectly prepared and although there was not an overabundance of Dungeness crab on them, they were tasty and healthy. We got talked into an order of their crab Un-cakes from the guy sitting next to us and we were happy that we engaged in a conversation about them. They were purely crab and the zesty lime aioli was paired well for flavor. I added a few dashes of hot sauce to kick it up a notch. We finished off with the New England style clam chowder with nitrite-free bacon. It was creamy and seasoned well. They are correct in advertising that they have the best chowder because they were telling the truth. Service was great, the decor is so pretty and the whole experience was very enjoyable.

The hostess was friendly and welcoming, and we were seated within about five minutes of arriving, which was a great start. The service was excellent... until it wasn't, which ultimately left a sour taste. Our server was attentive and personable early on, but as the restaurant got busier, she was clearly given more tables than she could reasonably handle. It wasn't her fault, it appeared to be a management issue. By the end of the meal, it took nearly 20 minutes to receive our check and another 10 minutes for our credit card to be run. I ordered the filet with a baked potato and added grilled shrimp, which I split with my dining partner. The filet absolutely lived up to the hype. It was like butter, perfectly cooked and incredibly tender. The shrimp were equally impressive with great seasoning and a perfect char. We both started with the blue cheese salad. It was good, but if you're expecting a bold blue cheese flavor, you may be disappointed. It was much milder than expected. The complimentary bread service consisted of two rolls that were unfortunately overbaked and rock hard. It wasn't a huge deal, but it wasn't the best first impression of the meal. I also thought charging an extra $2 for cheese and sour cream on a baked potato was a bit excessive especially for a $84 meal. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner, and the steak was excellent. However, the experience didn't quite live up to the reputation or the effort it takes to get a reservation. Between the service falling apart toward the end of the meal and a few small disappointments, I'm not sure we'll be rushing back anytime soon.
