Their salsa Verde is just the right amount of spicy and flavorful and it's one of few places where you feel like you're getting genuine, authentic Mexican food. I have gotten their street corn bowl as well as their grilled chicken avocado bowl and both were delicious. Only giving four stars because they have messed up my order a couple of times. It had been awhile since the last time I ate at El Pollo Loco and I know they had some new items so I ordered Dinner from them last Night. I got the Double Chicken Tostada Salad with Creamy Cilantro dressing as a meal so I got chips and a large Coca Cola with it. Also I ordered the new Salsa Verde Quesadilla, BRC Burrito and the two pack of Churros. I have been a huge fan of the Salad for many years even when I was living in California for my whole life until three years ago. It is super delicious even though the size of the tostada and salad has shrunk sadly. I did not get the Creamy Cilantro dressing with my salad so I used dressing I had at home. One section of the tostada shell was mushy but the rest of it seemed fine. I really liked the Salsa Verde Quesadilla and it was a little spicy for anyone who decides to try this out. Another favorite item of mine has been the BRC Burrito and it was good but that item has also shrunk in size from when I first started getting it at El Pollo Loco. Went to visit this location the other day and i ordered the "Queso Crunch Burrito Bowl". While waiting for my order i got my drink only to find out there were no straws at the drink station so i went up to the counter and stood there for about 5 minutes before someone finally decided to help me and give me a straw. that's not the worst part. we finally received our food and it didn't come how it was supposed to so i asked an employee if there was supposed to be queso on my "Queso burrito bowl" and he just stood there and said "uhhh im not sure" and then went to the counter and stood there with about 6 of his employees just confused and dumbfounded on how to answer my question. Service is horrible. It's like no one has any idea how to do anything. They can't work the cash register, don't know the menu, can't figure anything out and always get order wrong. And a lot of times a group of workers is just standing around in the back talking. When we got the right food it was good but they need a LOT of training. We've been there 4 times. The mashed potatoes,also a tasty surprise. At less than $12 I got the 1/2 chicken meal to go. Your choice and I chose breasts and wings. The meal included Two sides and tortillas. 2 flour and 2 corn which were ok.
