Everytime I come through the drive thru (mornings) the sweet, patient, pretty young lady with the huge guages (sorry I'll get your name next time) is always on point with her customer service. I never had any mistakes with her or the crew in the mornings! The mid is a different story. My bowls are always on point just like the service! I will always be a returning customer!!! I want to like this location, we go here often but they never get an order right. The food is good but the staff does not pay attention or act like they care when they mess up. Last visit they left out an entire side, all the hot sauce we asked for was missing, they gave me an inedible soda water instead of sprite, and we had no way to eat our food because we were given no utensils at all. I went there last night to pick up dinner for my family except that there wasn't a single light on their building whatsoever so I didn't know if they were still in business or not. I decided to find out so I went through the drive-through & same thing! The screen where you order, you could hardly see! No lights were on at all. Then a female employee's voice came across from the speaker & asked what I wanted, then a male's voice finished my order (which was fine I guess) Then when I drove around to pay my almost $32 bill, the food was handed to me in less than 1 minute! Yes, it was good and it was hot. It just seemed oddly fast to me. I guess maybe they had it under heat lamps. Whenever we come here (we've given the benefit of the doubt) there is ALWAYS something wrong. Missing food, cold food, not delivered properly, whatever the problem... then, you go to call when we notice at home and they don't answer. We live about 30 minutes away in a city over. It was near where we were and we are battling a sick gecko at the moment so it was convenient not to cook. What a rip off. Now, to get refunded or do anything about it, it's another 30 minutes there. We are missing 1/2 of our stuff, enough for a refund for sure or some complimentary food and they shoved everything in bags so it looked to be enough food at the time of pickup. This is the worst service I've come across this happens EVERY TIME we go. Needless to say they've lost a customer. Don't waste your time. Ridiculous. read more

It's close to my house so I've been here a dozen times and the manager assured us she fired the idiot who decided to use his own recipe for the salsa. I just went back tonight and they still can't get their salsas right, their chicken isn't cooked all the way thru, sodas have way too much syrup and the lettuce for the salad is probably a week old. I walked into Lake Mead and Jones El Pollo Loco last week after they open the inside for take out. Only one employee was wearing a mask and nobody, not even those handling food were wearing gloves. The man cooking on grill was touching every chicken with one hand and a cell phone with the other. I asked the manager (which did was wearing a mask but under her nose) why aren't they adhering to the REQUIRED guid lines? She responded by saying "The mask and gloves bothered them. I am outraged that a franchise should be so unconcerned about their customers safety as to put them at such a risk over their own comfort. Not only is this unlawful but obviously the fish stinks from the head down. Where are the district managers? Where are the local franchise owners? I went back yesterday to see if changes had been made. Not one worker was wearing gloves, all had masks on except being worn under their noses. For many customers this is a matter of life or death. This location should not only be banned but shut down. Customers lives should be more important than their staffs "discomfort"!!!! Avoid this location at all costs!!!!!!!! read more

Awful! I was STARVING and it still sucked! "Anything would have been yummy" not here! I gave it 3-4 tries. I ordered the avocado chicken salad. Drowning in lettuce water at the bottom. The avocado was to very thinly sliced pieces you need a magnifying glass for. The half a chicken combo. The very bitter end of any carcass of a chicken you can possibly imagine. Dry too YUCK! "3 piece dark meat" An absolutely slaughtered chicken breast that was stripped of the skin in hopes for it to have a chance at juice, a dehydrated chicken wing that crumbled and then you get the leg. Came here extremely famished and ordered the 3 course family meal for $20. An absolute great deal for what it comes with: Mexican cobb salad, 8 pieces of chicken, corn or flour tortilla, your choice of 2 sides and churros for dessert. Quality of the food was fantastic. We placed an order at noon for a 6pm delivery. El Pollo Loco chose Door Dash to deliver our order. We received a text from Door Dash at 5:38pm saying our order will arrive in 9 minutes. It Never Arrived! Despite several calls to El Pollo Loco- Who Never Answered 10 calls from us, we had to make a trip to their store! Their excuse was no one picked up the delivery so they just threw out our order, They Never Once Made Contact with Us, but kept our money. Their poor excuse was "well, it was done thru the app, it's not our fault". Not their Fault!!?? They knew the order was not picked up & they threw out the food!! Yes, this is their fault & it is Door Dash's fault for lying to us. We will Never ask for delivery from either place. This is not the first time this store has messed up our orders! read more

Apparently asking for a tostada salad without cheese is to much to ask for. I asked for one without any dairy for a lactose intolerant person in the drive through. Normally, once I have a couple of bad experiences at a place, I never go back (and as you can read from my previous review, I had a few bad experiences at this location). But one day, I was taking my dog home from the vet, where she just had surgery. My dog loves chicken, so I thought I would buy her some El Pollo Loco, as a special treat on her difficult day. I thought, if this location did not brown the skin properly (as was the case in the past), it be no big deal, because I would be removing the skin from the chicken anyway for the dog. When I got the chicken home, it was cooked perfectly, and the skinned browned properly. So i ate some of it, and it was great. But I was still leery in going to this location, because they have had good days in the past, only to be followed up on my next visit with undercooked chicken. Well, I tried it again a couple of weeks later, and the chicken was perfect once again. Then tried it a third time about a week later, and it was perfect again. I have now been there at least 15 times in the last year, and each time the chicken was cooked properly. So it looks like, whatever cooking problem they had in the past, has now been fixed. So I am going to give this location an upgrade to 4 stars. read more

The food is normally good but, the staff has always disappointed. I have resisted the urge to do a review on them until now. They are so inept that when I got up to the cashier to order (it was a young guy), he rung up my first item which was a combo meal. He then waited until I had ordered several salads then proceeded to tell me they do not have lettuce due to the e. coli scare. Well, fortunately nobody was behind me so, I asked him to hold on and let me text my wife to see if there was something else she would rather have. In the mean time, I guess the woman manager came up to see what the issue was and took over the register. I finished out my order and paid. Once I got my food, the original combo meal I ordered was not in the bag. I had to get her back over to where you pick up the food and let her know if was left off. She looked a my ticket and said that there was not a combo meal on there. I guess when she walked up to the register, she cleared what was already on there. Instead of just putting a combo meal in my bag, she rudely held up the line and had to add my combo meal and charge me. I have been in fast food before and when this type of thing would happen, I would just put the item in for the customer especially when it was not their fault.
