Came here with my family for dinner via the drive thru , I believe this past Saturday, and was impressed, appreciative, grateful to the man busting his butt at the drive thru window. We had some digital coupons, with separate orders and he worked out our order as quickly as possible, giving options and so on, while handling other customers at the same time. We managed to use our coupons, get our food which was great, thanks to the people who made it, and got a great price for it. Thought one of the coupons were expired, but he was able to use it. It's fast food chicken and it's delicious. Greasy but tasty. Wish the sides that come with the family dinners were bigger. That's really my only complaint. The chicken has great flavor but again can be greasy. I use coupons and feel great about the price I pay for what I get. I can feed myself and 5 boys for a little more than $20. Stopped for an early dinner. Yet again dirty, unwiped tables and a chicken leg bone and other food and napkin under the table. I would never return but my husband likes the food. We are definitely fans of El Pollo Loco in this house! I love that there are so many great options. From the pieced chicken meals to the tacos, burritos and salads. I love the chipotle chicken avocado burrito, especially with the green salsa! It has delicious chunks of chicken, rice, sour cream, beans and lettuce and then is grilled. The tacos are also really good as well as the tostada salad. They have new tamales on the menu, and for a fast food restaurant they were pretty good. Only thing that to make this meal better? Keto eaters beware. I ordered a keto burrito and when I took my first bite it became clear that I bit into a flour tortilla. Which is a major no no for someone on a diet or watching refined carbs, I addressed it with the manager at the time and he said they were no longer carrying keto tortillas and they are now using flour tortillas . The keto signage was still up claiming 11 net carbs. I don't know the truth behind his claim considering I have had the burrito with a keto tortilla in Santa Paula, Ventura, and Bakersfield in the last 2 weeks. He did refund a my money. I ended up getting a couple of of chicken breast which which was charged for. Considering their misleading claims and my inconvenience of taking a bite of something my body rejects, he should have put those on the house. If you go in it's ok but at the drive through, they have legitimately never gotten my food correct, either they forgot something, added something that I can't eat on my food, or given me the wrong food etc. today I was ordering with my family and they left out my food completely! We were the only ones in the drive thru and there were three customers inside. Their excuse was that they were understaffed. Went today before lunch hoping to get some freshly cooked chicken. The chicken must have been left over from yesterday. The legs and wings were cooked so much that there was no meet underneath the skin. The breast meat was so dry you could hardly eat it. It didn't taste like any burrito I had ever tasted. It was as if the meat and chicken mixture sat in a bowl all day and then put into a tortilla. The Mac and cheese tasted like flour and water that had been colored orange poured over macaroni. The mashed potatoes were some kind of glue mixture with a brown gravey like liquid poured over. Offered extra items at no charge (sauces and things, nothing crazy) and super attentive and friendly staff. We just drove through after a long and emotionally taxing day of Dr's appointments, etc and ANNABELLE was the most friendly and bright voice ive heard all day!
