We came in a full hour before close. No line and it took them almost 10 minutes to actually acknowledge our existence. Then the cashier would randomly walk away or start taking across the restaurant at another employee. I had to point to exactly what I wanted and the cashier couldn't comprehend that I wanted the meal on the sign right in front of her as-is. Meanwhile there is a pile of old chicken on the grill as the cook is spraying cleaning fluid on the other half of the grill. We wait 20 minutes with the kids losing their ever loving minds. Finally we get up to leave and ask for a refund. The manager overhearing us planning our desperate escape runs to the kitchen and grabs the old chicken and cuts it up. And miraculously prepares our family meal in 1 minute flat. I don't even feel safe eating it, but the kids have lost it so I can't even deal with getting a refund. $25 to through in the trash. read more

Worst El Pollo franchise we've ever been to!!!! They let us order then when we go to the pickup window, the girl at the window (Jasmine) informed us they didn't have any chicken at the moment and couldn't tell us how long it would be (this is the fourth time this has happened). After explaining that to Jasmine and asking her why she didn't inform us of that when we were ordering, she said, "it's not my fault". We stated you took the order and didn't know there was chicken left or not??? Simple question. She said I don't have to take this from you and shut the window on us and walked away. My wife went in there and talked to the assistant manager (who was really nice), but he said there was nothing they could really do and we would have to talk the the manger (Edna) who wasn't there at the time. Don't waste your time going to this location. If they do have chicken (which they don't more than they do), you'll get the worst customer service I've ever seen and I've been in the service industry for more than 20 years. read more

Use to be a great place when it first opened but now I'm afraid it has really gone down hill. I went about two weeks ago at noon on a Saturday and i was the only person ordering food. (A couple was in there eating already and they were the only other people in there.) So I ordered my take out which consisted of a 12 pc mix with the 3 lg sides and a small tortilla soup to go. I should had looked to make sure my order was complete after reading reviews about doing so, but seeing as they were not busy I figured they could not mess up. Well after my 20 minute drive back home I look and the tortilla soup was missing! Also the wings looked as if they were off a quail and the little meat they did have was all dried up. I called the number on the receipt and all I got was a recording saying something like "sorry no one can come to the phone" Well I figured that maybe all of a sudden the place got packed and they must really be busy now. After six tries I just gave up and took the lose. I emailed their corporate office and am still waiting a reply. I will never go back again. Update: The place finally closed down read more

I absolutely LOVE the food here. But three separate times now, I've come in anywhere from 8-9 pm (they don't close until 10!!!) and they tell me "we don't have chicken." What's the point of stopping cooking chicken so early?? I get that it take a long time to cook, but that means that they just...stop cooking chicken at some point. I love the open grill. There is something about seeing all of that chicken getting cooked that makes me hungry! The menu vast and hard to take in. I asked the friendly cashier the difference between two items, she could not tell me without ringing it up first. She quickly rattled off the ingredients of both items. I'm still not sure the difference. I love the salsa bar, but wish the served limes instead of lemons. The green sauce is nice and spicy. The red sauce was way too watered down. The salsa bar was a mess. The whole dinning room was a mess actually. The food is good. Not quite what I hoped that it would be. The tortillas are a joke. Kroger has better. The chicken is very good. It should be since it's I their name. After looking at my food, the food that the people I was with, and other customers food, I realized they really only have a few ingredients that they just present differently. I know that is how every fast food restaurant is, but this seemed even more obvious. The dining room trash bins did not have bags. I'm certain this will prove to be a huge mess. This location is still "new" so I give it a bit of grace, but the management had better pick up their game. There is no excuse for a dirty dining room and employees that don't know the menu. Food was good. The service was awful! We went in on a Saturday at lunch. The gentleman at the counter took FOREVER to take our order. He clearly had no business handling the register. He was so slow! Don't bother asking them to modify your order. It's painful to watch them ring it up. Secondly the dining area was FILTHY! No one once cleaned it when we came in nor by the time we left. There were plenty of people working the back area. So it was so shocking how dirty they let the dining area get. Every single table needed to be wiped down including chairs. Someone spilled a drink under a table before we sat down and not one single employee came to clean it up. We arrived when it wasn't busy but clearly no one cared the dining area was in such filth. We saw other customers come in and stare at the dirty tables and floors also in disgust. I'm not writing this review to be mean. Your food was good.
