Poor Uninformed Service I used the mobile app to place an order only to find 17 cars in the drive thru and no take away pick up. The app gave the option to cancel the order and when I pressed it, a pop up gave my the Yucaipa phone number to call and cancel. By this time one car in the drive thru had progressed. I called the number and, to their credit, they answered. The woman on the phone kept relaying my messages back and forth to presumably a manager in the background. Why the manager didn't just handle the situation on the phone instead of relay I don't know. One more car progressed in the drive thru. All this was communicated through relay: This location told me they couldn't cancel my order. I had to use the app. I explained the app is what gave me their number to cancel. They gave me a different number to call. I called that. He (Michael) said they were just a customer survey number. They had to access to orders. I believed him. This was just dumped in his lap. I filed a complaint with him which he would relay (there's that word again) to the franchise owner. One more car through the drive thru. So I waited four days. I've heard nothing from corporate or the local owner. I can't cancel my order locally. I can't cancel through the app. And I can't cancel at corporate. I filed a dispute with my credit card company over chicken. How ridiculous is that? Time to delete the app (and write a review). BTW: Two stars because their chicken really is good for fast food. UPDATE: I have responded to the reply from the business below by using the provided website. I will update if I get a response (or don't get one). read more

This review is primarily for an employee named Bianca. I have had horrible customer service experiences at the Beaumont store so I spent the extra time to go to the Yucaipa location. The first time I went was after Beaumont forgot to give me my grandkids meals and then acted annoyed when I went back. Bianca... she was so kind, thorough and patient with me over the drive through speakerphone and then even more wonderful at the window. The same thing happened on Friday... totally pleasant, thorough and patient, answering all my questions. I remember telling her she'd be a great police dispatcher and I stand firm behind that statement. She is AWESOME and has a FANTASTIC future ahead of her. Love you, girl!! Such an amazing experience went to dine in with my kids. When you walk in you get greeted right away the lobby area was organized neatly and very clean. Got attended fairly quickly and got my food almost right away fast and quick service. The food tasted delicious definitely will make it my most frequented new location. I really want to like this location but sadly they just make it so difficult. The food is generally fine but it's expensive. And I wouldn't even mind paying for it if they had good customer service and faster wait times but the employees usually have attitudes and they take forever to get food out. I came in for the bogo burrito deal and ordered 2 burritos. There was one family in front of me. They got their large order quickly but mine took over 20 minutes. 20 minutes for 2 fast food burritos. I could have gotten them faster from a sit down restaurant. And when the manager handed me my food I figured she'd at least apologize for the long wait but she just handed me the bag. I never saw one employee smile while I was waiting and although the manager helped out she wasn't nice to the employees either. Delicious! Mgr. Carmen took their order & was helpful in suggestions! (She knows what we like!) We eat there weekly! Because of the friendly atmosphere from the time you go in the front door, until you leave! We are impressed with the cleanliness of all areas at all times! We stopped going to the close by Del Taco & Taco Bell because of the unclean conditions & not so friendly personnel! Our family from out of town & here in Yucaipa enjoy the quick service & full menu! You can tell by my yelp reviews that I am not much of a fast food goer. There are many reasons why and this is just one of them. I went to El Pollo Loco and ordered the double chicken tostada salad. I realize it's never gonna look just like the picture but really...... First off I got no avocado on my salad. That's right zero...zilch! Second of all it states on the menu you get double chicken. I don't even think I got a single chicken serving. My reason for the 2 stars instead of one is it didn't taste bad. It was rather fresh tasting. But seriously fast food workers, you have one job. I have been to many El pollo Loco in my life. They always have great deals such as the 5 combo deals. Lately their customer service is horrible. I been to this YUCAIPA location at least 10 times in the last 3 months. Each time I would get treated worse and worse. I love the El Pollo loco app and use it all the time. The last time I order nachos and asked for black beans instead. When I got to the front of the line, manager said I needed to call after placing my order so they can have the correct info. Today the lady said I can no longer use the drive truck window to pick up my food because it doesn't count for them? So why have mobile, so why have a drive thru?
