Do not waste your money trying the new STREET CORN TOSTADA at this location. This limited time offer cannot end soon enough. The photo shows it containing 3 large slices of avocado, large chunks of chicken breast, a chile lime seasoning sprinkled on top, and other ingredients. That's not what they gave me. When I got home, I discovered the tostada contained barely one slice of avocado, no chile lime seasoning, and a small sprinkle of some dried out shredded mystery meat that did not look like it had ever been chicken breast. Unable to drive back for a refund, I took a bite. It was so tasteless, the rest went down the garbage disposal. Stick with the 2 or 3 piece chicken combos. Manager came out of her office with a pen, note book, personal cell phone wondering why food was left out waiting to be packed in a bag. They have bad customer service, the chicken is raw (cause they rush it) it's burnt on the outside and raw inside. I even got a batch of almost all raw, it even had blood. The avocado on my salad was only two very thin slices and it was brown, it tasted disgusting. When I went home I realized that they didn't give me any salad dressing. Considering that most of your business is going to be speaking English when ordering ,and English needs to at least be your second language, I would think practicing English while at work would be a good idea. Consistently good quality food and friendly service. When there has been a mistake, it was more than made up for by replacing what was incorrect with more / better product on the next visit. Twice we have had to call to say that either something was missing (tortillas) or recently a 12 pc mixed chicken was ordered and paid for but legs & thighs were received. In the case of the wrong chicken, I called as soon a I found it. I was offered replacement chicken (3 breasts and 3 wings) for the pieces that were wrong next time I come in. I made notes on my receipt about who I talked to, then went back a couple of days later and was given 3 beautiful boneless chicken breasts and two large thighs (they were short of the regular breasts and out of wings - it was lunch time) and I swear that box weighed five pounds or close to it. The ladies were very pleasant about it and very apologetic. I was offered an extra side of black beans as well, so I had delicious boneless chicken to cut up for a noodle casserole - enough for several other meals for two people. Even if it's inconvenient and annoying to get home and find out that your order is wrong, the way things were put right was so gracious and pleasantly done that I think I was better off with the mistake in the long run. Two things that the reader might be wondering: first, I never went back for the missing tortillas since it just didn't work out with the rest of our lives at the time. Second, when you are in the drive-thru and with only one person, it is not easy to either hold up the line to check your order or even to pull over and look at it because there are quite a few items in the bag. I usually get the Three-Course Family Meal which has two side orders (rice & beans or whatever) plus the tortillas, a big salad (or whatever the promotion is at the time - large family size salad, enchiladas, Mexican "pizza" etc.) and the box with the chicken is at the bottom of the bag. Placed and paid for an order online. My husband arrived to pick it up & the only way to get the food order was through the drive through. Impossible when on a motorcycle. He tried to have someone give it to him without using the drive through, but was informed that "we ain't going to open the door to anybody". I called the restaurant directly and tried to cancel the order, but was told that the only way to cancel it was to contact corporate. The woman I spoke with sounded stressed and the attitude that came across was a "don't give a crap". Basically our fault for riding the motorcycle to pick it up & not using a food delivery service to get it. 30 minutes later and my husband is still waiting in line at the drive through with still 10 cars ahead of him on his motorcycle. I don't usually "yelp" but I had to with this place. My daughter and I stopped here on our way to Palm Springs to fill our tummies. Immediately upon opening the door I was greeted by Lidia and Mikaela. I don't recall having a friendly greeting at any other fast food restaurant than here. Mikaela helped me at the register and had the friendliest and sweetest voice. My daughter placed order where Mikaela proceeded to recommend a cheaper option, saving me money for our weekend trip. Not that it was much, but I was still saving. As we sat and ate, I watched Mikaela work hard around the restaurant to keep it clean and continued to greet entering customers with the same warm smile and friendly voice that she greeted my daughter and I with. Love that they give the cilantro dressing in the cups, the pollo loco in S.B. uses dressing packets and it's thin watery and does not taste good at all, but the yucaipa location still serves the tasty thick dressing in to go cups.
