I've been here almost once a week for lunch for the past couple of months. The location is a bit tricky to find but if you're using some map navigation it shouldn't be too difficult. Inside there's a big dining area that's got high ceilings and lots of windows so it bright and airy. I have always ordered their carne asada street tacos and as many times that I've been here the tacos have been consistent. Some places I've been to, it's either not salty enough or too salty. But I applaud the staff for their consistency. The tacos, what can I say they're my favorite and it's the benchmark that I use whenever I go to a Mexican establishment just to get a gauge on how other items will be. This was our first time and LAST ever at this place. We went with a group of friends and they had been here before and liked it. I tried to show the group it had a B GRADE!! The group still wanted "Mexican" style food. We stayed and I prayed though the whole meal that no one would get food poisoning!! My nacho plate was not piping hot and had stale greasy chips. Hardly any cheese!! There was no salsa just a few sprinkled tomatoes. I make a better plate of nachos at home. My son's carne asada fries were forgettable. The crinkle fries tasted freezer burnt and were not cooked throughly. The so called "carne asada" was tough and bland. Then a giant scoop of "guacamole", it was just mashed avocados, was repugnant. My husband didn't care for the bland beans or the "green salsa" that was just heat no flavor. My friend ordered a "carne asada" burrito what was full of tough meat and had too much green fire "salsa". She had such difficulty trying to bite the burrito and "suffer" with the "salsa" she gave up and barely had a third of it. My other friend had the taquito plate with a giant glob of "guacamole". Decided to try this place out and it was good. Staff was friendly and nice. Ordered their chile verde burrito, some tacos and the guacamole and chips. The chicken, asada and al pastor taco were on point. The guacamole was fresh and delicious. They offer three different salsas and they were good as well. I come here every Tuesday for taco and it's been 2 -3 months, each time I order about 20+ tacos. Food is great but the quality is unstable, somedays taste great some days okay, but the average is still good. However, the service here is ...speechless, i asked for extra sauce and they wanted to charge me for it, at the end i only got 6 sauce for freaking 21 tacos. while my coworker got 8 for 17 tacos and didn't get any extra charge. and my another coworker who is Chinese too went in and got a very unfriendly eye check from this short Mexican employee.( Same person who wanted to charge me for extra sauce.) This morning I wanted a breakfast burrito and was in the area so, I decided to take a chance on this restaurant. The register lady was somewhat nice to me. She put my order in for a chorizo, sausage and egg burrito. While I was waiting in the vacant dinning area. I noticed that she decided to help prepare the take-out salsa cups. She took salsa out of a pitcher using a paper cup but wasn't wearing gloves. She then went back and forth handling the Register, the money, the credit cards and the salsa again without washing hands or putting on a pair of gloves. Even without covid-19, this is still a big no no. Once I received my burrito and went home. I dug into my burrito and found out that they forgot to add the sausage. Excellent taquitos n guacamole!! So GOOD! We came here on Memorial Day with low expectations as the place we were originally trying for (El Patron) was closed. As we drove up it looked like some fast food place, not authentic Mexican food like we were seeking. However we were really surprised by the food itself! The taquitos w guacamole were amazing! First off they were the LONGEST taquitos I ever had, like the size of a flour tortilla made into a taquito but it was corn tortilla. Secondly these taquitos were literally stuffed full of juicy tasty beef, not a thin line of meat that many taquitos have. No these were stuffed! And the corn tortilla was crispy. Actually it felt like the corn shell was thin but only because by comparison to the meat usually in taquitos it felt like it but this was just right. The guacamole was thick chunky and fresh, the combination was so delicious! And the rice and beans tasted fresh, good like authentic food tastes. It does not even feel good giving this place a start tbh due to how bad the food was. For sure, the worst tacos I have ever in my life time, and by far some of the worst food to exist on this planet. In addition, I asked for three tacos chile verde, pastor, and chicken and he charged me for 5 tacos which three of them were chile verde. Why the hell would anyone ask for three chile verde tacos. Everything was horrible from these tacos. They smelled funky with no taste in every single meat I had. I honestly ate a total of one taco out of five, and a say a total because you couldn't even pick the taco up they automatically by default tore apart like the titanic. Big man thing! What is this joke of taco. These comedians even included a fork! I swear they included a fork in the bag for these tacos. Never have I ever had a taco with a fork! I am so mad at this food because not only did I waste money and time but as well as for my appetite and energy eating these shit tacos. I feel disgusted with myself after eating these tacos. I probably need to go confess after this because eating tacos like these surely has to be a sin! I think I need to have a dental clean up on my teeth now to get this shitty taste out of my mouth. Exterior: 4/5 Located on the corner of an intersection, this restaurant is easy to spot. It also has big red wording, so you can't miss it or the line of cars that goes there for Taco Tuesday. Parking is okay I would say, since each of the times I have come here I haven't had a problem. I would say it's harder to park around lunch time than it is dinner time. All the seating is inside so just go right in to order and grab a seat. Interior: 4/5 When you walk in the first thing you see is the cashier. So there isn't much of a waiting area for pick ups. Along the cashier is the pick up location for the food, and I usually see it stacked with bags of to go orders. Then as your eyes continue the curve, you see the soda machine, and then the beloved salsa bar. Aside from that seating is spaced out in the rest of the restaurant. Very open and there are TV's around for your viewing pleasure. I have yet to eat here, since I usually grab my order to go. Service: 5/5 They have multiple ways to order - phone, web, in person, and even apps. So you have multiple ways to get your food. I know you have to be specific if where you ordered when you do come pick up because I had a mix up when I ordered through Yelp and we had an issue finding my food because I said mobile and that was mistaken as a phone order or GrubHub. The phone call in can be a little hard because they are pretty busy at times so you get a busy tone. I would recommend using mobile app or the website to order, especially on busy days like Taco Tuesday. Order: 5/5 Tacos: I have had the potato, carne asada, and carnitas tacos. I can say my favorite would have to be the potato taco. Maybe it's my inexperienced self, but I never had a potato taco - and this blew my mind. Mashed potatoes and cheese...in a taco...and a crunch on the outside? Sign me up. The carne asada and the carnitas are pretty good too. The carne asada comes with a little spice so beware those who can't handle spice. My aunt couldn't eat it because she is sensitive to spicy. California burrito: I was really happy with this.
