This place is just ok. I've actually found another Mexican food place that I like better, but I still go here since its so close to home. I can agree the customer service is lacking but I think they just want to get people in and out. They are also a bit stingy with their hot sauce cups since they only give you two at a time. The carne asada fries aren't quite what they are in SD, but the meat is good. Burritos can get greasy but they're decent. This place gets surprisingly busy on weekend mornings. The chili relleno in Combo 6 was excellent. I love rellenos. They make them fresh everyday. My friend had two fish tacos and they were big with lots of cabbage and extra veggies on top. Good prices, fair food. I purchased a wide variety of foods for a small group of friends. I bought the Carne Asada Fries, the Chili Relleno, the Fish Tacos, a Beef Chimichanga, and a snack made of tortilla chips covered with cinnamon and sugar. The Carne Asada Fries were good, but mostly because the fries were covered with cheese, sour cream, and guacamole. The small amount of carne asada, though, did taste good. The Chili Relleno had a very thin moist batter on the chili filled with a nice Mexican white cheese, but then I think there was something like American cheese on top of that. Not very good. The Fish Tacos were pretty good with fresh ingredients in the salsa. The amount of fish and its preparation was fair. The Beef Chimichanga was huge! But to my disappointment, it was filled mostly with beans and rice. It was smoothered in sour cream and guacamole, but that couldn't hide the fact it lacked in shredded beef. I would have preferred a smaller chimi without the beans and rice. The dessert chips were OK. All in all, I probably wouldn't buy here again, though I might try just their tacos and enchiladas next time because their prices are pretty reasonable for a quick lunch. Pros: Very clean. Fast and friendly service. The guacamole tasted great. Cons: Overpriced for a fast food restaurant. Tacos are about $3 each. I got 5 rolled taquitos and a small drink and it cost $7.50. The salsa bar was pretty bland. Overall, there are much better places for taste and price within a miles distance. I loooove this place. This is our family go to for Mexican. They're fast, efficient, and you get a lot of food for your money. I live din Mexico for over a year and this is the most authentic Mexican restaurant I have been to since. It all tastes fresh. They are very nice and accommodating. I've never been in there and had it be empty. There's always tons of people no matter the time of day. That also says a lot. It very much comes off as a mom and pop place and now that we're pregnant I know I will be coming here a lot more over the next few months!!!! The food is decent but for being one of many Mexican establishments in the area they are failing on being a good competitor. Their they offer no taco Tuesday specials and their "weekly special" was $9 for 5 taquitos, their burritos was less $ than their "alleged special". I wish they would offer better specials. I ordered well ahead of time, (about 4 hours) only to be told AFTER I reached out to the delivery driver (20 minutes after the food was supposed to be delivered) that the order was delayed by almost an hour, with no notification about the delay. Came here for lunch break. The place was very busy but the staff was hard at work pushing out orders. I got the number 1. A hard beef taco, a chicken enchilada and a side of beans and rice. Although the place was busy and the cooks were rushing out orders, it did not effect the quality of the food. Everything tasted great! Well worth the price. Will return here for sure! read more

We have eaten at Taco House for years. Lately we've not enyoyed our meals. Years ago their pico de gallo was really good, not so much now. We always liked their tacos, and meat burritos, not so much any more. I can't give a specific as to what is missing, but the items we've ordered lately lack in flavor and freshness. Seems their prices have become less attractive as well. We were there this week and were again were disappointed. The staff are always nice. For now we will be eating somewhere else. read more

This has some of the best Mexican food in the Temecula area. Their food has great flavor and the portion sizes will take care of a hungry eater. There is limited inside and outside dinning due to this COVID restrictions. The staff is friendly and courteous, the property is clean and everyone wears masks and gloves. They are not the cheapest or most expensive place to get Mexican food but the price is well worth the quality and quantity. I highly recommend this place. read more

This is based on customer service NOT the food. The food is amazing as usual. However, whenever I come here the ladies/cashier are extremely rude. I've been here a few times but the few times I've been here I'm greeted so poorly and feel like I'm an inconvenience to the ladies up front. They look up and look back down, never once do they smile, I ask for a cup for salsa and they look at me with a serious face and don't say a word. I'm always polite and I have to be the one that says "hello!" to greet them. What a shame. It's come to the point that I feel so uncomfortable that I won't come back because of their negative energy. Terrible, over-salted food, combined with terrible customer service. I went to El Ranchito for the first time last night after hearing great things about it. I ordered two carne asada burritos and added sour cream and cheese. I also paid for a 16oz container for the green salsa my wife wanted. The total came to $19.05. I could not believe how expensive it was compared to all the other places I have tried and enjoyed. I brought it home and my wife and I sat down to eat. We had to heat the burrito's up because in the five minutes it took me to drive home they were no longer hot but slightly warm. We took our first bites of the burrito and after a few bites my wife mentioned that it was very salty. I had to agree, it was like eating a salt lick. The green salsa was super watered down and had an unsatisfying flavor. Unable to eat our food we wrapped it up and planned to call a manager to have the issue addressed. The next day I called El Ranchito and spoke with a female supervisor/manager. I informed her about the food and she told me that there was nothing she could do. That El Ranchito under salts the food so that customers can add more salt if they wanted. I informed them again that it is inedible and cost me $20. She said "well we had 100 customers yesterday and no one else complained so it could not have been salty." In the end I had to hang up the phone because it became apparent that El Ranchito does not care about a customer's opinion and unless more complain they will do nothing. STAY AWAY FROM EL RANCHITO. Tonight I took my family to dinner at El Ranchito Tacos in Temecula. My son in law ordered the posole. After taking a few bites he found an obvious black hair in his soup. MY SON IN LAW IS BALD HEADED! Upon advising the personnel, they were rude and said they would only give him a store credit. I have to say that Alberto's is way better than this place (Alberto's is ok). The chicken enchiladas here are made with breast meat which makes them dry. The Chile relleno was not cooked all the way (it was crunchy), and they use processed (like kraft American cheese) on it. The carne asada tacos weren't good. I didn't finish eating because I started to feel grossed out. The meat and the tortillas were over cooked making them hard and chewy. The pozole was whatever. The grilled chicken torta was ok. They did use chicken thighs. I gave this place a 3 star rating because the beans were good and the staff was nice, but I would not come back here for the food. read more

This is a small chain. I live by this one but I work near their Hemet location. The food and people at Hemet are amazing! Especially Nelida. She always has a smile and seems genuinely happy to see me. In contrast, the Temecula location seems to think they are doing me a favor by being open and it shows in their employees and food quality. I ordered a chicken fajita burrito from El Ranchito and I got a steak burrito instead. I ordered the fajita burrito because I thought it would come with a lot of veggies, yet the bell peppers and onions were sparse in my steak burrito -- it was loaded with red meat and the whole thing tasted like it was soaked in grease. Plus, there was tons of guacamole in the burrito. Some people maybe into eating food that heavy, but I felt a little sick after a couple of bites of my red meat and grease burrito so I threw the rest out. read more
