This review is only about this experience as my previous visits have had no issues, food wise. Not many people in the restaurant thought it was early in the evening. There were other families sitting on either side of me in booths. I guess the kitchen staff was short handed as it was taking a noticeably long time for the food to come out. Since it was Christmas Eve, I exercised extra patience. The chicken fajitas came out sizzling as one would expect but there was an odd odor, like something had burned. The waitress asked if I wanted tortillas. I thought that was standard with the dish. The chicken was dry and had absolutely no flavor. The vegetables, which are usually abundant with fajitas, was sparsely provided. It was mainly a plate of dry chunks of flavorless chicken. I added the salsa to each bite for moisture. The rest of the dinner was good, as usual. Perhaps I'm overly critical of this experience as I was really hoping for a nostalgic culinary memory but I was very disappointed. In fact, I did bring home leftovers but having a hard time being enthusiastic about reheating them, at least not without adding some seasoning. Maybe this was a one-off as i usually enjoy my meals there but I don't think I'll be ordering the fajitas any time soon.

Anyway, the refried beans are sometimes fried and vegetable oil, sometimes fried and lard. The day that I ordered mine, well all week they had been fried and lard which makes them not vegetarian. When you stop consuming those types of animal byproducts your stomach doesn't know how to digest them so I had this food and my body immediately was like what's going on and sure enough trying to reject it. Somebody who has Alpha Gal syndrome like I mentioned earlier can get super sick from this, like it could have serious detrimental effect on them.
