My boyfriend and I went here two nights ago because I love Mexican food. I am from California and we have AMAZING restaurants out there. We came here because everyone on yelp said it was great. I did not like one think about it. I got a burrito and it was cold and had noooooo flavor... The sauce that was on it was nasty. My boyfriend had the Enchiladas and it was super dry and the red sauce was just as bad. We both felt like walking out but we are also not that type to walk out. I would never ever go back and I won't even if you gave me a free meal. And for all you people who are saying this is authentic Mexican are way wrong. As a Latina from L.A, El Rincón is the perfect place to go when I'm craving Mexican food

Unassuming and inexpensive, but powerful good food. The two of us had lunch -- we both order gorditas - me, two poblanos and a nopal, she, two chicken and a nopal. I've never seen gorditas before, in a restaurant or otherwise, so excited to try something new. Definite comfort food, tasty, filling yet not fatty or oily in the slightest. I've occasionally seen cactus in local supermarkets, but not on New England restaurant menus that I can recall, so another plus. The meal left me happily stuffed! Usually with such a simple meal, I wouldn't even bother to comment on the service, but I appreciate how the waitress and even the cook came to ask us how we liked the food. I'd put the decor in the category "not a place to take a date," but for informal dining I found it copacetic: fun, colorful, comfortable, perhaps even authentically unstylish. I could convince myself that a neighborhood lunch joint somewhere in Mexico might look just like this, and that's fine by me! read more

The restaurant had on-street parking and doesn't have the come on in curb appeal that you might expect from a place with such outstanding food. But. Don't drive past wondering. Go inside and get a seat! The chips and salsa are too good. The queso dip with chorizo is also a real treat and a generous portion. I had the Cadillac margarita substituting Don Julio for Milagro and it was perfect. My friend had a regular mango margarita and loved it. The dish I ordered had a long name. Basically it's enchiladas Mole style. Every thing on the plate was worth eating. Sometimes restaurant rice and beans just take space on the plate but it was all great. The enchiladas- they will be hard to forget. The flavor was complex and spicy and the meat was perfect. Was far too full to order dessert which is probably a shame. It's a small, quiet restaurant but the food is lively with flavor and definitely worthwhile. Next time I'm in Manchester I will eat here. Hotel clerk agreed - says the place is great. We made a reservation, which I highly recommend if you are coming here before an event. The restaurant is very small and is very popular. Full bar. Delicious food! We got here at 5:55 and had a 7:00 show. That wasn't quite enough time. I will 100% be back again as the food was amazing. The servers were very nice. A very large assortment of Mexican colas. Outstanding! We found this restaurant through yelp, and we were amazed with the quality of the food and how inexpensive the meals are. I frequently order burritos at mexican restaurants, but concluded that would fill me up and prevent me from trying several other dishes. We tried 3 dishes (tacos, sopes, and tamales) and loved them all. The prices were amazing; $6 for 3 tacos, $2 per tamale, and $6 for the sopes. More than enough food for two people! Had we done a little more research, we would have known that they don't sell alcohol (not even beer), although they said we could bring our own. As it's in the shadow of the verizon arena, I suspect it willbe crowded ad difficult to park there on event-nights. We'll definitely go back. read more

The place itself is quaint but super clean. Best part is they offer true Mexican drinks like Horchata! The staff was so friendly and very attentive. We decided to come here for an early dinner after reading the reviews for El Rincon. We were pretty happy that there was parking nearby. The place looked pretty cute on the inside. Daughter ordered the Huevos Revueltos con Jamón o Chorizo and liked it. I ordered the Chilaquiles Verde o Rojo and had it with the green sauce. It was ok. Great prices, service and food. I'm from California originally, so I am a bit fussy about Mexican. This is a terrific, family-owned place like the ones I grew up with. The server was happy to explain menu items. We did BYOB, and they were happy to bring us glasses, offer us a bottle opener, etc. The guacamole was excellent (and I don't even like cilantro or tomato, both of which it had). Didn't like the overly crunchy chips, though. We had the onion beef and gorditas (which they make in many different varieties). My horchata was good, though not the best I've had. I was sorry we were so full (the portions were generous) that we could not try the tres leches dessert. The guacamole and the lettuce were very fresh and cool. The place is very clean, and while not fancy it is comfortable. The cook came out from the kitchen twice to ask us if we were enjoying our food (!). I wish we lived closer because we would be regulars. And you can beat the prices. I wish this business all the best! read more

I love El Rincon. The decor. The people who work here. The horchata. The milkshakes. The FOOD. I had a gordita for the first time when I was in Mexico six years ago and hadn't been able to find one since then... until now. Their pork gorditas taste like something you'd buy in the markets in Oaxaca. I'm also a big fan of their cactus gorditas, which I'd never sampled before trying this place. The tortillas are the real deal. And the salsas are made with real roasted chiles and pack a real burn, unlike most of the salsa you get in Manchvegas. The tamales and tacos are also quite excellent, but I'm sold on the gorditas. I will hopefully get around to trying their chilaquiles and soups now that the weather is getting colder. Milkshakes come in chocolate, banana and strawberry and are a ridiculous value for the quality and sheer volume of milkshake that comes in an order. More adventurous sorts should try their agua de jamaica and horchata. Then there's the service. The woman who runs El Rincon is the sweetest lady ever. The decor is colorful and especially welcoming on a rainy day or in the winter. And the prices are definitely easy on the wallet. I never pay more than $10 here for a full meal. Best of all, this place is BYOB. Who can hate that? read more

I adore this place. I'm so happy to have found a good Mexican food option here in the tundra. The owners are very nice and they know how to make good food. If you're looking for low-fat, low sodium, gluten-free vegetarian health food, go someplace else. I can't say that El Rincon tops my favorite L.A. hole-in-the-wall, but if they were side by side, I'd still come here sometimes. I will have to update this review in the future after I try more menu items, but I can say the steak burrito is delicious. Normally I'd ask for no rice in a burrito because normally it's a "flavor hole." El Rincon's rice is tasty and adds to the burrito.
