Steak with onion and rice!!! Yumm!
    Camille G.

I tried this from a store that was ordering their lunch. I decided to order with them . Our order took two hours to arrive at store. They assured me it was going to be worth my wait. I proceed to continue working while I waited . It finally arrived and the order was short a serving. My friend was kind enough to give me her food. I had ordered the same plate which was pernil with mofongo and accapirria. It was amazing!!! I just had one bite and I couldn't resist. The mofongo had chunks of crispy pork skin and tosino. It was sitting in a delicious garlic sauce with Side of pico de gallo. Absolutely divine, just like I landed in Puerto Rico. I called my friend next day drove 1hr to visit this great restaurant myself in jersey city. I ordered the steak with onions with rice and beans. It was delicious. Since I ate in the restaurant the portion was huge. Definitely taking left overs home.. I also ordered more food to go. I can't wait to try later. Love the food highly recommend eating here for authentic Spanish food.

If you really think about it the Dominican food has taken over the Bx. I searched, and found this place. The moment you step in you are greeted with the warmest blessings. The 2 beautiful people that worked there made our time there so memorable. The food was out of this world let me tell you. Also, I will say it is AFFORDABLE. portion size was huge and the place was so CLEAN. Food: Pernil: 10/10 flavorful and tender Yellow (arroz con gandules) and Black rice with the beans: 10/10 both were good and couldn't even decide which one was better Pulpo 9/10 : fresh and tangy, cut into small pieces so you can top it on your rice Alcapurrias: 8/10 great and made differently then what I'm used to but it was sooo good I'd come again for this alone Juices: Ask them to try the juices and they will let you. We tried it all. Came home with passion fruit (parcha) and guyaba (guanabana) Delicious 10/10 It was so fresh and they don't add too much ice so you get all the juice taste. All in all I'm coming here from now on. A true BX staple for the community and a true essence of the Bori pride resides here. If you miss PR, come here.

The colorful décor, music, and overall ambiance create a warm and inviting experience. The food was delicious. Every dish was full of flavor, and you can tell everything was made with care. The pork was incredibly tender. Even the rice and beans, which can sometimes be overlooked, were flavorful and delicious. The fish was perfectly seasoned, allowing the natural flavors to shine without being too salty or overpowering. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and well-balanced. If you're looking for delicious Caribbean food in a welcoming atmosphere, this place is definitely worth a visit. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

From the outside, the restaurant looks pretty small, but once you walk in it's surprisingly spacious. The décor is beautiful and creates a really nice atmosphere. I'd definitely come back!

My favorite was the Chuletas Kan Kan special since the pork was crispy without being dry. They definitely make it fresh since I saw them picking out the piece of pork to cook once I had ordered it. Rice and beans are so flavorful. Soup and Cubano tasted great too. It's a small and popular restaurant, so they typically will ask you to wait outside until a table is ready. We came around 2pm on a holiday and had to wait 20-25 minutes in the cold, but it was well worth it. Servers are super nice and accommodating. Cash only!

However, I was really surprised by the price. We paid about $60 for takeout, which included two servings of rice, two servings of beans, chicken, two bistecs, and tostones. Considering the portions were fairly small, I didn't feel the price matched the amount of food we received. As a Puerto Rican who cooks these dishes regularly, I know I can prepare the same meal at home for a fraction of the cost. The only reason we ordered takeout was because I wasn't feeling well enough to cook that day. While the food tasted good, the value just wasn't there for me. Unfortunately, because of the pricing, I don't see myself going back there again.

Eggs were fluffy and delicious the French toast was soft and buttery.
