Excellent birthday fajitas for the hubby. The restaurant wasn't busy, yet the service was slow. I believe the reason being is that our server was also the bartender with little to no help. When other patrons arrived another gentleman, I believe the manager appeared and started assisting. The restaurant is enjoyably clean with positive ambiance.

Not what it used to be! The margarita glass are smaller no salted rim or wasn't asked and the sampler platter all changed up. Happy hour not so happy lol.

I am giving a stars because I am disappointed with the changes to the happy hour menu. They removed my favorite appetizer, which was 4 small crunchy tacos. They were delicious! Brought my friend today, and to my surprise, they are no longer on the menu! Draft beers went up in price too. Well, at least the happier hour still goes until 9pm.

The Sunday all-you-can eat buffet was worth it. $40 with unlimited mimosas and the food was fresh and hot, sign me up! Went with my friends and they said the mimosas were strong. So no weak drinks here! They got their money's worth. The buffet had made to order omelets and tacos, plenty of desserts including flan and fruit and ice cream, a bunch of ceviche, menudo that was constantly being put out, salad, cheese enchiladas, birria meat, beans, and rice. We went back multiple times, and I love the unlimited non alcoholic drinks such as Jamaica (fresh), Horchata (powder), hot chocolate, coffee, and sodas. We ate ourselves silly and celebrated birthdays and had a great time!

The portions on entrees are massive. It took everything I had to finish the food. I also enjoyed the Sunday brunch so that I can try a bit of everything. When they are busy, it is hard to get a hold of any of the staff. They also don't tell you everything you need to know like what to do if you want to partake in Taco Tuesday. I didn't know that it's just for a certain part of the restaurant, not everyone. Staff also didn't inform my party that Happy Hour is just at the bar, not the rest of the restaurant

Came here for happy hour but was told there is no more happy hour food menu. There's still some drinks. Got the mango margarita but they didn't even salt the rim. So that was a disappointment. Then since there is no happy hour food we had to order from the menu and for the price for the food, not worth it. Definitely overpriced. Service was lackluster. We just wanted to finish our food so as not to waste and leave. Bring back the old happy hour.

We wanted to go somewhere for brunch after Palm Sunday service. Even though we hadn't eaten at El Torito for a long time, it was close. The restaurant was bustling when we got there. No parking near the restaurant, but lots in the shopping center. It took a while before the hostess showed up and the server missed us being seated. Once I told her and asked for water, she was very attentive the rest of our meal. Our mimosa glasses were constantly filled. She brought us a plate of cinnamon pancakes. The brunch buffet was an incredible array of food. We visited one table and had a couple desserts. We tried as much dishes as we could pile onto our plates. Too much food for us to eat in one visit. We will have to go back to try the other buffet options.

Came here for lunch buffet on a Monday and it was not busy at all. You can order a la carte as usual or do the buffet. Lunch buffet is $20 Mon-Fri, beverages are not included. It is mainly a taco/salad bar. Not a big selection of food. The taco bar includes freshly made tortillas and choice of chicken, beef, pork meats. You then dress it up yourself with beans, rice, chopped vegetables, and salsa. They also have chicken and vegetable soup, cheese enchiladas, melons, and 2 dessert options (flan and arroz con Leche). The food quality was pretty good overall, but salty. They bring fresh chips and salsa to your table. Clean, large restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of parking. Service was fine, dirty plate were cleared pretty quickly. Overall, it's good value and worth a visit to get your taco fix

We came here Saturday morning and had an amazing experience. The service was excellent, and our server Sandy was really nice, friendly, helpful, and had so much patience with us. She truly made the whole experience even better. This is a Mexican restaurant with a brunch buffet, and it honestly surprised me because I thought the brunch was Sundays only. I originally came just wanting pancakes, but the buffet completely exceeded my expectations. They had birria, rice, refried beans, tortillas, enchiladas, Sweet Corn Tomalito, bacon, sausage, waffles, pancakes, an omelette bar, and so much more. They even had conchas, and everything tasted fresh. For drinks, they had fresh orange juice, apple juice, jicama, along with self serve hot chocolate, coffee, and water. They also had a chocolate fondue fountain with fruit, and this wasn't even Sunday brunch. The inside was very nice and welcoming. Overall, everything was great, especially the service. Sandy was amazing. If you haven't tried it yet, definitely give it a try. We'll absolutely be back.

I always have a great experience whenever I patron this location. Stop in and see for yourself! This review is more in reference to the bar experience. I'm one of those that prefers to socialize, so often times as of late, I choose to sit at the bar with no issues whatsoever. Every bartender here is great, but Juan, in particular is exceptional. From his many years of expertise in crafting the perfect libatIon, whether it's on the menu or not, to his magnetic personality and smile, if ever you're having a bad day, come see Juan and he will fix it right up for you! He's great at reading the room and catering each patron's experience accordingly. He loves what he does, and it's clearly evident with every interaction he engages in with everyone. In addition, Juan's energy is always positive and not only is that rare, but very much welcomed especially on a consistent basis. Happy hour is every day from 3 to 9, however, I believe Juan works earlier in the day for the most part. Sit at the bar and he will make you feel right at home. And let him know that Jeanie sent you.

I love coming here for happy hour!! Great appetizer and drink deals. The sangria was a standout - definitely go for happy hour, but make sure to sit in the bar area to order off the happy hour menu! Great vibes, fantastic staff and service, nice ambiance, and good parking options!

Came here for their Sunday Brunch. We didn't have reservations but they got us right in. Food was delicious, hot and plentiful. Our server was Angel and he was the best! The Mexican background music was great and just added to the ambiance. It was worth the drive to eat here. Don't forget to get the Sweet Corn Cake.

The place turned out great with the old fashioned retro red color style interior and the experience was wonderful. Good vibes and positive feelings when walking into it. My lady server provided excellent service and the Hispanic male worker was quick and efficient. Place is clean and menu had good variety of selections. Breakfast is served all day while lunch items start at 11am. My breakfast was very fulfilling and total was $25.30 with everything included. I paid in cash and tipped them $5. Loved my sweet lady server. There was another older woman at the cash register. She's a local as well. I really enjoyed the stop. I had the Fajitas Omelette breakfast and the steak meats in it were very generous. Delicious breakfast exactly as I had expected. My onions green peppers potatoes were perfect with a side of salsa. Sourdough toast was delicious with the garlic butter taste. I really came for my favorite hot chocolate with whipped cream in the morning. I do miss big American breakfasts, especially in these old fashioned and traditional retro spots. Love it. Why didn't I visit this place much earlier? We ordered the strawberry matcha and banana matcha, and the drinks are a great bang for your buck considering how large they are--my husband and I honestly could've shared one. The strawberry matcha had a pleasant, jammy fruit flavor that paired nicely with the matcha. I was especially impressed by the banana matcha, which is made with fresh bananas. You could really taste the difference, and thankfully, it didn't have that artificial banana flavor at all. The matcha itself is fairly standard in terms of quality, so I think their flavored drinks are where this place really shines. If you're a matcha purist looking for something more ceremonial or matcha-forward, this probably wouldn't be my first pick. But if you're in the mood for a fun, flavorful matcha drink in an incredibly cute setting, this place absolutely delivers. For what they're going for, it's an easy 5/5 for me. It started with the barbacoa chilaquiles. When I saw that that the chilaquiles in the menu had habaneros on it, I knew I had found my place. I often cook at home with ghost and scorpion peppers, which are not traditionally found in restaurants, but they've done some pretty amazing improvisation when I've asked to make it work. One time, I recall getting the chilaquiles and asking for extra habaneros and asking if their chef had a secret hot sauce that was stronger than "white people spicy." Miriam brought me a little ramekin of a pepper sauce puree that the chef prepared - and it was EPIC. I don't ask for that every time, but you know whoever was on the line took the request seriously and actually had some fun making my mouth burn. I can't tell you how appreciative I am of their willingness to "play" in the kitchen. Today, I went for breakfast and ordered the Carne En Su Jugo for my first time. Not just here - first time ever eating it anywhere. I had totally forgotten to ask them to make it spicy! I asked Miriam if there was anything they could do to spice it up. She assured me they could. Then I received it. And I tasted it. And it was cathartic. The chefs prepared a PERFECTLY spicy stew, and I downed that whole thing in 7 minutes. It was delicious, put some sweat on my brow, and left me feeling more than satisfied with my meal. I love this place! Miriam is always great every time I've been there. I will continue supporting this business as long as they keep doing business. Please give my compliments to the chefs again. Their creativity keeps me coming back for spicy treats!

I was expecting a little more of a vibrant/fun atmosphere, but it was still a nice spot to relax and enjoy brunch. Overall a good experience and I'd definitely come back for another round of the mimosas!

Came here after seeing lots of talk online about Kenny's being the best breakfast burrito spot…read morearound SJ. Kenny and the staff are extremely kind and caring, and even when the place fills up they deliver excellent service. However, I thought the food we ordered was just ok. Ordered the #1 (Breakfast burrito), #5 (breakfast sandwich). Both items' composition was not the best. They were wrapped with the wrapping paper that didn't securely hold the entire sandwich/burrito securely. Especially for the sandwich, the cheese and meat were easily spilling out from the sides. The burrito was standard, but I felt the same way more or less regarding its structure. Additionally, the flavor was ok and good at best. The meal came with red salsas, which look to be house made since it was clear there is pickled onions and some other little things in it. Honestly it is an ok salsa, I'm not sure if this particular flavor is what I'm looking for to complement a breakfast burrito normally. We had an OK experience. The restaurant seems like a fairly small shop (run by family)! While I'm all for supporting local and mom/pop shops, I probably would not wait over 15 minutes for it. Maybe will have to try the bulgogi items next time! But for breakfast burrito/sandwich it was just ok to me.

We checked in and were seated right away, and the setup was absolutely beautiful! They brought out our tea first, which we enjoyed while waiting for the pastry tower to arrive. Once it came out, they told us to eat from top to bottom, so that's exactly what we did! Each bite was delicious, everything tasted freshly baked and made, and I especially loved that the pastries weren't overly sweet. Although we enjoyed eating the tower from top to bottom, next time we would probably go from bottom to top since we like to save our sweets for last! Of course, we couldn't leave without getting more pastries to bring home. They have plenty of classic pastries, like croissants, along with more unique specialties, like their croissant cube. Everything looked and tasted so fresh, with that perfect flaky, crackly texture. The pastries are a little pricey for bakery items, but in my opinion, they're definitely worth it for the quality and freshness. Overall, we had such a lovely time celebrating my grandma's birthday here and would definitely come back for more pastries!
