The weekday buffet is only 14.50 and you will more than get your money worth of food. The selection is not the biggest, but it is good. We went here for dinner on a weekday. We had made a reservation and had to wait only 5 to 7 minutes to get seated. We almost ordered immediately but had to wait for around 35 minutes for our food to be served. The order consisted of: Mexican Buffalo wings: Our server mentioned the chef never made them and asked us if we still wanted it. We skipped this since we did not wish to wait another half an hour for our appetizer. Grilled chicken fajitas: The amount of time we waited for our food raised the expectations. Unfortunately it was way off. The chicken, rice and beans all lacked flavor. They just seemed to have been boiled. That's it! No seasonings what so ever. Pollo Fresco with chile relleno: The chicken had exactly the same texture and taste as the ones served with the fajita entree. No flavors at all. There was hardly any cheese in the relleno pepper which lacked in flavor as well. Flan: We were celebrating a birthday which we informed our server earlier when we initially ordered our food. Their website mentions you get a free entree if you sign up for the rewards. You get a free dessert. After laboring through our entrees we wished they forgot about the free dessert but we did get it. There's no choice for this one I think as we were never asked our preference. The flan looked unprofessional the edges were scabbed however it tasted ok. Strawberry Cilantro soda: This was probably the best thing they made all night. We also requested the Agua de Jamaica but they were out of it. A very disappointing dining experience. I just spent over $125 on a meal with my husband and my parents that none of us could enjoy. The restaurant was quite busy tonight and thankfully we had made a reservation. We were seated in a room towards the back. Right next to us was a party of about 25-30 people. Unfortunately, this group was so obnoxiously loud and drunk that we couldn't hear the waitress at our table when she spoke to us. I understand this was likely a holiday party and I don't want to be a grinch. But I do think the restaurant's management has a responsibility to ensure all of their patrons can enjoy their meals, not just those with a $2500 bill. It was awful; I was so tense by the end of the meal. If you're going to allow a large party to act like that, maybe don't sit other patrons right next to them. To make matters worse, the service wasn't good. Our waitress would disappear for long periods of time. My husband didn't get the side that he ordered and had to ask twice for a to-go box. We never did get a refill on our water. Come to find out that our waitress was actually covering tables on the other side of the restaurant!! Again, this is a huge management problem! Why would you not group tables together so your staff didn't have to run back and forth (and end up neglecting the one table they have outside of their primary area)? This is completely inefficient, unfair to the wait staff and unfair to the patrons. Giving 2 stars because the food was actually very good and I liked what I ate. The experience started bad from the time we were seated. We ordered our drinks first, waited for about 15mins for the drinks to come but then another 10-15 mins for the server to show up and order appetizers. Afterwards we waited for a long time for the appetizers to show up. The guacamole wasn't done at table-side which is not what I had before in El Torito (or as advertised "table side"). When the server brought it out, it was all darken like it was prepared for while already and sat there for a long time, definitely wasn't fresh at all and it was a big disappointment dish. After we finished the appetizers, the server hasn't showed up so I had to go find him & request him to come place our entrees orders. By the time entree orders were placed, it was nearly an hour since we were seated. Our clients had to leave in 20mins but entrees were not done yet, so I had to find our server again and requested to put a rush for our entrees. When the dishes came, it was only 10 mins before our clients had to leave. The dishes showed up only lukewarm and beef slices on the plates were obviously dried. Ended up my clients had to pack their lunches to go since they've waited for too long time and had no time to eat. Last but not least, I gave my loyalty number (Xperience Rewards) to the server to earn "points" during CC payment (also called "chips"), but the server didn't check with me and went ahead applied my reward for this lunch. Overall it was a very disappointed experience for myself and my clients experience, likely I'll not come back again. read more

I ve been to this restaurant many times in Milpitas. Then during Covid I saw service charge on my receipts for 2/3 years. I recently heard no more restaurants service charge as of October 2024. It becomes illegal. I went back recently in 2025 I still paid service charge. I asked Manager he said corporate still keeps it. whats the heck.?? This was not my first time coming here and also not my first time being disappointed by this restaurant. The food is ok it has flavor but sometimes it's barely warm when it comes to the table. My favorite thing here is the chips and salsa you get to start off with. This time around I got the carne asada burrito and it honestly felt like I ordered onions with a side of burrito.. the flavor was there on the rice, beans, guac on the side and the sauce that went over the burrito but the burrito itself had cold pieces of meat and was made up of half onions the mound took up 1/4 of my plate and that wasn't even all the onions in the burrito. It honestly was very unappetizing. The restaurant is truly beautiful inside but it is a always a little uncomfortable being seated as I noticed at this restaurant in particular the other customers will stare you down as you walk in more than just a casual glance to see what's going on. Be prepared for a long wait time to be seated, a long wait time for the waiter to come take your order, and an even longer wait time to get the bill. We were able to finish our food and still had to wait almost half an hour to be able to get our servers attention to ask for the bill. It wasn't a very busy night either (Monday night) and this same thing has happened the other 2 times I've been here. Overall 3 stars Its been years since I've been here. however this last experience was via uber/door dash service during one of those HOT days in the Silicon Valoey. I think it was 92° in the evening, (+) All Foods packaged well. Utensils were included. Meccan Caesar salad was larger than I thought with lots of lettuce. Chile Rellaño was fried perfectly and heat of chili was minimal. Surf and Turf (steak and shrimp) platter was ok in seasonings. whole Beans and sweet corn cake tasted very good. They are open for outdoor Dine in! Just ate lunch out for the first time since shelter in place with my mom. They have their restaurant patio open and they also added some tables under tents out in the parking lot to accommodate more people. There was quite a few people dining in. The extra tables weren't open during lunch so we waited about 10-15 minutes for a table. Service was friendly, must wear a mask when walking through the restaurant to your table or to use the restroom inside. The waitress came by to ask if we needed anything 4 or 5 times. They still had regular menus, not one use paper menus. However they did have a QR code on the tables to scan for a digital menu if you prefer. They had a buy one get one free lunch entree today only for dine in. Had no problems getting the deal. Ordered a 4 item combo and a chicken dish, they still give you all the chips and salsa you want. Food came out fast and hot. Great deal! They are using real dishes and utensils, not disposable. Had signs for happy hour starting at 3pm so maybe try that another day! read more
