For the drinks, we got an iced toffee latte and the kepania, which is their version of a spanish latte. I liked the toffee latte more cause it had bits of toffee in it but I also liked the spanish latte as it tasted lighter than the toffee latte. It gave the drinks more of a balance when I started taking sips from both of them. I do really like how the top layer of the lattes were blue, which gives off a great aesthetic. The only downside for me was that the toffee latte lost a good amount of its flavor after some of the ice melted-- some cafes still have a strong coffee taste even after the ice melts & that's usually what I like as far as preference. As for the sunbliss blend smoothie, it definitely had that taste of the 100% real fruit in it and was a refreshing drink to sip on when I walked at the beach. Best part of it was the steak, the rest will be repressed from my memory. A friend had the taco trio. $19 for 3 tacos and no sides. That's pretty steep. He didn't even finish the 3 tacos. He had the short rib, al pastor and carnitas. None of them looked very good. I had a pinch of his short rib meat. It tasted like grandma's Sunday pot roast. I thanked her and explained that I was already aware of that. I simply don't like my coffee being diluted because it's filled to the top with ice. She understood, and "less ice" was even printed on the order sticker. Then my drink came out... packed with ice. So I politely pointed it out to the barista and asked if he could remove some of the ice. His immediate response was, "Even if I remove the ice, I can't add more coffee." Again, I told him I already knew that. I wasn't asking for free coffee. I was asking for the drink I had actually ordered. Then came the truly impressive part. He took my drink to the back, and instead of simply removing some ice, he dumped out the coffee along with the ice. Apparently, removing ice without throwing away the drink was an impossible task. Congratulations--you managed to turn a simple "less ice" request into an unnecessarily frustrating experience. It's amazing how difficult such a basic request became. I came in expecting Vietnamese coffee. Instead, I got a masterclass in how not to treat a loyal customer. Needless to say, I'll think twice before coming back.
