Cannot recommend Elan highly enough. I had another plumber come out to snake a bathroom line, and somewhere in the process he made a serious mistake that turned a clog into a full-blown leak in the crawlspace. Then he left -- wouldn't come back, wouldn't own it, wouldn't even return my calls. I was stuck with sewer water under my house and no idea what to do. Elan answered the phone, listened, and came out to take a look. He went into the crawlspace himself, diagnosed exactly what the first guy had done wrong, and explained it to me in plain English so I actually understood the damage and what it would take to fix it. No finger-pointing theatrics, no trying to sell me things I didn't need -- just straight talk and a clear plan. The repair was clean, solid, and done right. He tested everything before he left and made sure I was comfortable with the work. Fair pricing, especially considering he was undoing someone else's mess. That Lady and I started moving back into our home after a year, since the Palisades Fire. We did it right by hydro jetting the waste line (with all the work done at our home no telling what got in the line). I called at 8:15 in the morning, he was at our door before 10:00. He inspected the problem, went to the supply house to get the parts, returned, and was done by 11:30. His labor cost was less than what I had been quoted for just a house call fee by another highly rated plumbing company here on yelp. I had a Moen Flow shutoff valve leak and two tankless water heaters needed to be descaled. David from Rockstar Plumbing quoted me $3200 to replace the Moen Flow unit or $650 to remove the unit and bypass it, and $700 to descale two tankless water heaters. Elan was a god send. We had a gas leak and the gas company turned off our gas. We needed someone to come quickly and cap the pipe that was leaking. I called four other companies before him and was quoted up to $1,000.00 and other services to check for gas leaks. He suggested not running the other tests because the gas company does them when they come to check and save us $700. If there were other leaks he would come back and we would go from there. None of the other companies suggested this. He was prompt, so kind, warm demeanor, and he cleaned up afterwards not leaving a mess. His price was beyond reasonable. He called to follow up the same day to see if the gas company came and if everything went well (it did). We will use Elan for all of our plumbing needs. I called Elan this past Monday to fix my leaking kitchen faucet. I texted him a picture of my faucet and asked him to purchase a similar one as replacement. He quoted me a labor charge and made an appointment for next day 8am. Elan showed up at 8am the next day, and right away I was impressed by his punctuality, as I've never had serviceman showing up on time. He then diagnosed my plumbing system and replaced my faucet and serviced all connected plumbing perfectly. Now my under sink space is clean and dry. He charged me exactly as he quoted, and even gave me the faucet receipt in case we don't like the one he bought and need to get another faucet.
