    Tea pot and scones
    Katlyn H.

It's so hard to find a loose leaf tea shop, so having one so close to me is wonderful. They have plenty of teas for sale that you can purchase to take home or you can have them prepare you a tea. I really appreciate that they have their teas in jars that you can smell, so you can see which tea you like the smell of most. The last time I visited, I got a pot of blueberry pancake tea and two vanilla scones (with sides of jam and clotted cream) for $15. I have seen that they do a lot of events but I haven't been to any yet. They also have great workers who can help you pick out teas when you don't know what you are wanting. They have some indoor seating and outdoor seating that you can enjoy.

Cute Place with amazing options of different types of teas and tea lattes! Items were limited but we got the basil tea and matcha! We chose to have the matcha sweetened and it was delish! The tea was extremely hot but the flavor was smooth and relaxing! They moved locations and has a super cute interior! Check them out!

Great ambiance, great price. Service was a little slow, but thats ok. We were in a small room with a door, so we had privacy, especially while a party was held. The quiche was quite good, considering I don't really like quiche. We do wish that there what finger sandwiches though to complete the full experience. The scone was a little overdone, but still tasted delicious. They were very communicative via Facebook Messenger, but email was a little slower. The information on the website was a little outdated, so they were able to provide the full menu via messenger and email. Originally we were told we only get two pots of tea for four people, but once we got there, they gave us each our own pot. I would definitely return.

There are few places as perfect to while away a fall afternoon. Elden Street Tea Shop is a cozy retreat in Lake Anne Village Plaza, whether it's a crisp and sunny autumn day or a dreary one that makes you want to snuggle indoors. So charmingly decorated, this tea shop beckons you in and invites you to stay. They offer assorted teas, sold individually or in pots to share if enjoying on the premises. You can, of course, buy teas for brewing in the comfort of your own home. If you decide to linger, then you can pair your tea or teas of choice with some light bites. A friendly staff member also told us that they regularly host events throughout the year. My friend and I shared a delicious seasonal noncaffeinated tea. Our time hanging out in the shop was relaxing and good for the soul. I almost want to keep this business a secret, but I can't do that. I cannot wait to return to this lovely escape!

A very cute, homely tea shop located in Old Towne Herndon! Lots of teas to choose from and definitely for those looking for a spot to just relax or slow down and enjoy a fresh cup of unique tea. There are often mini events happening here too, like yappy hour for dogs and live music out back! There is either parking in the front along the street and a small amount of parking in the back as well.

I came here because I saw an Instagram post about how cute the place is. Unfortunately, on my first visit, I couldn't enjoy the interior because of a party that was being held. The second time I visited, however, it was open and you could enjoy the cute little rooms and entertainment in the dining area. I would say the main point of this place and what the business is banking on is the interior and not necessarily the food. I think the idea of afternoon tea is sold more than the actual tea itself. The tea tasted very mild and lacked the usual tea flavor I was looking for. While it wasn't terrible, it definitely doesn't beat the tea quality in tea establishments in California.

Great place to enjoy a relaxing weekend. I ordered tea flight and was shown how to enjoy it. The scone is really delicious. Gem in Lake Anne!!

Cute little tea shop in Herndon. They've got a good selection of teas but not many options for food compared to a lot of other places I've been to since I love tea.

This tea shop was awesome! Great tea selection and the service was top notch! Really cute set up.

A great place to enjoy a cup of tea and a great place to by loose leaf tea! I stopped by with my husband and kids. They have extensive tea flavors and options. You can get hot tea and pastries (love their scones!) Everything is cute and furnished like a quaint little house. There's plenty of seating and other cute touches like a doll house! There's also a separate room that appears to be for small gatherings, I'm guessing you can rent it out. Perhaps the most amazing thing is their loose tea selection. The prices and selection is incredible. It's by weight, but you can really get a lot of tea! I'm loving the Herndon Breakfast and the Lady Gray. The owner was really nice and chill. We will certainly be back!

    Afternoon tea plate

The food was very disappointing and expensive for an afternoon tea. The scone was dry, the blueberry tart was all gelatin, the spinach quiche was meh. Only 1 pot of tea for 2 people so you have to like the same flavor, or pay extra for a separate cup of tea. For 2 people, we spent over $50! They had around 40 teas on the menu but half of them were out of stock. I'm giving 3 stars because the people are nice and the idea for the tea shop is good. I hope they make some improvements.

The Brownie double chocolate cookie is hands-down my favorite and tastes like a fudgy brownie. The dark chocolate chips just melt! The Classic Chocolate Chip cookie was a bit too sweet and tastes like a sugar cookie with chocolate chips. I wasn't a fan of the Cookies and Cream Oreo cookie. The Cina-Cookie tastes like a buttery Snickerdoodle cookie with cream cheese filling. The Birthday Bash cookie was fun to try, but quite sweet and loaded with sugar. Highly recommend warming up the cookies in the microwave for 20-30 sec, they soften up and taste like they were just baked with that delicious ooey gooey texture. The chocolate chips just melt in your mouth! If you get delivery, the cookies are stone cold. Delivery takes 2-3 days after placing an order, even local shipping takes a full day. While it was fun to try the 4 pack of cookies with delivery, it was just too much and I was on a serious sugar overload. It would be nice to have an option to only get a set of 2 cookies with delivery. The cookies just don't taste as good cold even with reheating and it's better just to get the cookies at the shop. Important reminders: each MidnighTreats cookie weighs over 1/3 pound! They're enormous, and for sure big enough to split (... to share, sure, or just to enjoy yourself later; they even recommend cutting them in half before freezing them [if they last that long]). PRO TIP: you *have* to reheat them before eating them (otherwise the flavor/taste/texture just isn't the same). Build your own box for currently $30 ($20 plus $10ish for shipping), and some of the flavors change each month. We've tried... + Birthday Bash (funfetti rainbow sprinkles cookie): personally, I like the nostalgic flavor of generic "birthday cake" that's recently become a thing, and I think they do a fantastic job capturing it! + Strawberry Shortcake (shortcake cookie smothered in strawberry icing): This was the taste of summer I needed. So bright! Just the right amount of sweet! And they definitely didn't hold back on the icing! +/- The Classic (a blend of dark and semi-sweet chocolate chips): compared to other vegan chocolate chip cookies that can be shipped to your home, this one's actually one of the better ones! +/- The Chocoholic (fudgy double chocolate chip cookie): you have to REALLY, REALLY like/be craving chocolate for this one. - Cookies N Cream (oreo bits with chocolate chips and vanilla chips): this one was just okay, and I take the blame for missing that it contained white chocolate chips which I am not a fan of. It says they're vanilla, but that's not what they taste like to me. - The Cinna-Roll: I believe the recipe for this one has changed over the years, because it used to be a cinnamon roll flavored cookie with cream in the center (and there was *barely* any of it, making it a very dry, very boring cookie). It seems it's now a cinnamon roll cookie smothered in vanilla icing, so I just wanted to make sure I had corrected info here. Other things of note: they've donated thousands of dollars to animal sanctuaries across the country! they've planted close to 20K trees with reforestation projects! they've donated thousands to local schools and shelters in their NOVA community! How can you not love a company who's built in giving back to their community in their core principles?!

The service was prompt and attentive. We started by enjoying a few of the craft cocktails, which were simply wonderful and the product of a talented and adept bartending. If your idea of a good cocktail involves slush or machines, this is probably not the place for you. I enjoyed a dirty martini, as did my youngest daughter. My oldest daughter enjoyed a French 75. All lovely and all perfectly mixed. I would return here if nothing more than the cocktails! For starters, my daughter shared the Pate De Campagne, which consisted of country style pâté, cornichons and toast points. They loved it! My wife enjoyed the Salad Verte and I loved the Roquefort Salad. Both salads were simply marvelous and went well with the freshly baked bread. On to the main event! Fo her entree, my youngest daughter had the Roasted Cornish Hen. She had never had Cornish hen before, but this particular rendition made her a fan of the dish. Perfectly cooked, juicy and savory. My older daughter enjoyed the Salmon en Croute. The salmon was perfectly cooked to the correct temp and the pastry was spot on. A lovely dish and one I will try on our next visit. My wife and I each devoured the Chicken Paillard. This is one of those dishes that is so simple, but the lemon butter knocks your socks off. If it wasn't such a lovely restaurant, I might have licked my plate. Yes....it was that good. I ate every last caper! For dessert, we shared a portion of the luxurious pistachio cheesecake. An excellent ending to an amazing meal. This charming restaurant is a jewel in the heart of Herndon. I highly recommend it for your next special occasion. We look forward to returning soon!
