Originally, I wasn't interested in having my dress cleaned and preserved. However, we had a beach wedding in Mexico and the sand and humidity definitely took their toll. So I started looking for wedding dress cleaning and preservation services. This is my first time using Elegance Preserved and I just got my dress back yesterday! I was very hesitant on this process because I had to hand over my gown to people I do not know. However, all the wonderful reviews reassured me that they were going to take care of my gown and accessories. It was picked up in January and I received it in March. It came back in a decent sized box and it is preserved beautifully. I took a peek at it with the nice gloves that were provided to us. I kind of got in my feels a little; I didn't realize I would feel such bittersweet feelings about having my dress back. I got married in October of 2023 so it's only been a few months, but all those wonderful wedding feelings came back. I was introduced to this company thru the team at Monique Lhuillier. I found this yelp page and was a bit nervous because there were many reviews here. But then I found their other yelp page from the Bay Area and was amazed at the reviews there! I called their main line and they answered all of my questions, and I had a lot! They have a local account person who was able to setup a pickup on Saturday morning from my home to get a quote. Very cool! The quote took a couple of days but seemed like an easy enough process. Most of their communication was thru email. My dress was pretty beat up on the hem and I had a bustle that I had torn out. They sent me a quote for cleaning and preservation as well as the small repair. After my dress was done they sent me a report that helped me get a sense of how well it came out. It was so amazing to see my dress clean again! Yeah!! My dress was then shipped back to me at my office, which I guess is safer? But, that was no problem. I really appreciated their communication. I found Elegance Preserved when I purchased a floor sample wedding gown from Kinsley James in West Hollywood. My dress was picked up directly from the boutique and dropped back off there once it was finished. Kinsley James offers a coupon for your cleaning service that takes some of the cost down but I was admittedly shocked at the price to clean a wedding gown. Elegance preserved handled my reaction to the estimate very well, explained why the cost was what it was, and even offered to find some additional discounts/promotions for me to help bring the cost down. I am so impressed by the work that Elegance Preserved did! My wedding was held outdoors at a ranch and throughout the evening my dress was covered in dirt, asphalt, grass, etc. The stains were bad (the whole bottom of my dress was black). Miraculously, Elegance Preserved was able to clean my dress and make it look brand new. I am shocked in the best way! The pickup and drop-off process with Elegance Preserved was also seamless, and the team was wonderful at communicating when they would be arriving. Elegance Preserved was recommended to me from Sarah Seven, where I bought my wedding dress. It was a sample gown and they did an AMAZING job with the cleaning! This dress was tried on SO many times and it looks brand new. They were also super kind and helpful, and got my dress back to me within two weeks. They do home pick ups too which is awesome. I purchased my dress from the cutest shop ever, Sarah Seven. They were the ones that recommended Elegance Preserved to me. It seems that they get their sample gowns cleaned with Elegance so it seemed like a good recommendation. After speaking with the Elegance coordinator I felt comfortable with the quoting process. I had hoped for a pickup but apparently my home was just out of their range. So, they sent me a shipping "kit". It arrived and it was easy enough to ship my dress to them for a quote thru UPS. I was a bit nervous but they assured me that's the way that most of the boutiques get their dresses from designers. I hadn't realized that! They notified me by email once they had my dress and I received a quote a day later. It seemed reasonable and 8 weeks later I had my beautiful clean dress preserved and shipped back to me. I am grateful that the last of my wedding to-dos is over and that my dress is taken care of. Not an exciting errand but an important one and I highly recommend their team. I decided to go with Elegance Preserved because the company seemed very detailed and experienced in their cleaning and preserving process. As I was communicating with the staff, everyone seemed very knowledgeable and willing to help answer any questions/concerns I had so that gave me even more comfort. Since I worked with the company during COVID-19, the process was very smooth and better than I could have imagined. FANTASTIC cleaning and preservation by Elegance Preserved! My wedding gown and veil are one-of-a-kind as they were handmade by Claire Pettibone (purchased at her bridal salon in LA) and my gown has a very delicate lace applique, so I was hesitant to trust cleaning & preservation to just anyone. Elegance Preserved was one of the places my dress designer recommended, and I read several good reviews, so I contacted them about my wedding dress and veil. From the start the staff at EP were so kind! They were eager to answer all my questions, were extremely knowledgable, helpful and understanding. I purchased a wedding dress from PoshMark and while I was trying it on, I found a small but noticeable blue pen mark on the butt!! I panic-searched the closest wedding dress repair on yelp and found Elegance Preserved. I inquired on Sunday morning thinking I would get a call back Monday but I got a call immediately from Sean. Their service was great, Sean was very nice and knowledgeable on cleaning and preservation. When I went to their Beverly Hills location to drop off my dress, I was a little shocked at the in-person store because it was inside a run-down dry cleaners/alterations shop. I almost missed it if it wasnt for the sign on the windkw. But the people were kind and let me drop off a veil as well as the dress. Their quote was reasonable, total of $200-$300 to repair/clean my dress and veil. One thing that was a little strange was their at-home delivery service. It is a hit or miss--there was some confusion on the date of delivery, make sure to text someone or email them on the day of your date of delivery. The dress was professionally cleaned and beyond my expectations because I thought the pen mark wouldnt come out or leave a stain. The repair was flawless. They also managed to get out some yellow stains at the folds of the dress which I am so impressed about. They also include a garment bag and iron out your veil if you submit one. My dress was purchased from the cutest boutique, LOHO Bride, which I also highly recommend. Thankfully the boutique told me about Elegance Preserved, and it's a great thing they did! I did not have a great experience with this company. I chose Elegance Preserved because I wanted my dress to be in the best hands and reduce the risk of anything going wrong. For the price I was quoted here, which was really high, I expected flawless service. First of all, you have to ship your dress to San Francisco where it will sit for several months. My first conversation with Sean made me feel well taken care of, but after I became a customer things changed. Communicating with this company was challenging as they were not on top of the details, forgot to fix a stitch I requested, and proceeded with services I hadn't agreed to even though we discussed over the phone. I don't believe they take notes or pay attention to your specific needs. When I received the dress back it was not perfect and they spent 20 minutes explaining to me that it was unlikely to have been perfect anyway...which was also a disappointment. Love, love, love them! I felt like they answered all my questions clearly and were very fair in setting expectations. The pricing was a bit more than I thought it would be initially, but after researching further I realized that higher end silk dresses are just that expensive to clean. When I compared them against similar companies with good reputation, the pricing seemed to be fair. Great communication with owner/manager about when dress would be ready, etc. I had my wedding outdoors and there were so many tiny sticks stuck in the lace and dirt under layers, was worried about how it would come out. I was distraught over postponing my wedding for a 2nd time, and was really stressed about how my dress would handle being on a hanger shoved in the back of my closet for another year. The team at Elegance Preserved responded quickly and helped take all of my stress away! They were so sweet and I instantly knew I could trust them with my dress. The process was so easy, I didn't even have to leave my apartment! I chatted with them over the phone briefly about what I was looking for, and that same week someone came to pick it up. They were so on top of communication and arrived on time and were so friendly. About two weeks later, they scheduled a time to drop my dress back off to me. I purchased my dress from the Galia Lahav flagship store on La Brea. Such an amazing store! They were the ones that recommended Elegance Preserved as well as a company called J. Scheer. After doing my research I determined that J. Scheer was just too expensive. Elegance Preserved provides a comparable service at a much more reasonable price. They have a shipping service that works easily and their coordinator was super helpful in explaining the process and timeframe. I was a bit nervous about shipping at first but they assured me that boutiques receive their dresses from designers the same way. That made me feel comfortable shipping my dress.
