My husband and I got married at the Sanctuary resort, so maybe I am a little impartial, but the food and drinks here are amazing. I would definitely recommend reservations before you come, and try to request an indoor table with a sunset view for dinner. It is great watching the AZ sunset and then the city lights while you enjoy your meal. The service here is always excellent in my experience. We come here several times a year for special event, and occasionally for lunch if we are in the area. I definitely prefer the dinner menu over the lunch menu. The Elements menu tends to have a lot of seafood on it, be forewarned. I am allergic to a lot of different seafood items, but I easily manage to find something else delicious to order. If you love dessert, I recommend the peanut butter bomb which is my personal favorite, but you can't go wrong with any pick here in my opinion. The restaurant decor is beautiful and has one of the best views in the city. This restaurant is of course expensive though, and our meals for 2 usually top $200 for dinner with only a couple of drinks on there total. read more

My wife made reservations with great anticipation from news and reviews. Unfortunately, the meal we had left a lot to be desired. While I won't say the food was horrible, nor the service, it was not that "wow" experience we were hoping for. We ordered the kimchi bacon appetizer with Brussels sprouts and found too much fat and would have loved a few more brussels on the plate to enjoy the flavors. The 45.00 filet had a fatty piece that seemed way too big for the cut meat. I would assume the kitchen cuts from the loin and could've held this piece back. The sticky rice I ordered to accompany dinner was very good, but came out late, well after I was thru half my meal. Perhaps they had an off night, we received some bad plates or it just isn't our type of food. Average is what I would consider this place and will continue to frequent El Chorro instead when dining in PV. read more

My sister and I were guests at Sanctuary for the long weekend, coming from Seattle and San Diego. We were celebrating her birthday. Although the table location was nice, the service and quality of food were lacking. The server did not seem to have much input on the wine list and we were not made aware of a sommelier on site. The food was just OK - we had the tomato fennel soup and calamari, then the salmon and the filet. While the filet was large (10 oz), it was basically the only thing on the plate. The presentation was poor for the $ I'd rather have a smaller cut of meat and a prettier presentation with a few vegetables and a good sauce. There was one sad stick of asparagus cut up and buried under the meat. The waiter was not attentive; we had to pour our own wine and he was largely absent. I had to ask for a steak knife and no one cleared away plates in a timely manner. I just think for the $ we spent, an effort at excellent service would have made a world of difference. I've dined at many fantastic restaurants in the past and this was unequivocally a disappointment. read more

We had an outstanding lunch here end of September. Out waitress was lovely and the potstickers were absolutely to die for. Ahi tuna salad was also delicious. They even offered my dining companion a cupcake in birthday recognition. It's pricey, but for the view and the food it was comparable to other high end places. I do not typically write reviews, nor do I go to restaurants like this very often. We had a dear friend give us a gift certificate for this place. My wife has always wanted to go here. Now is her chance. I have to say that the company was the best part of the night. My wife ordered the short ribs. She LOVED them! perfectly seasoned and cooked. She had me take a taste and it was indeed good. Maybe great! I had the Sea Bass special served over pork belly! I do not say food is "the best". However, this was the best food I have eaten. The seasoning was perfect, the flavors blended together perfectly. I have never had a piece of fish cooked so perfectly. The staff and service was also AMAZING! It was my first visit to Elements along with my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday. And I should say the visit was truly memorable. We were seated at the Jade bar till our tables were set and I really enjoyed the Lichee Margarita. Perfect mix and not sweet. 5/5 for the drink My experience at the restaurant was out of the world. Our host Mr. Greg was patient explaining well each item on the menu. For starters we had the ahi tuna tartare and I must say the tuna was very well marinated with hint of lemon and spices to the right level Moving to the entrees, I took the beef filet wrapped in bacon medium made, red at the center and my girlfriend had the scallops. Both these dishes were right up to the mark and these are must try at Elements. Overall, I must say the visit to Elements has been truly mesmerizing for both of us. We were fortunate enough to attend a conference and business dinner which gave us the opportunity to try almost all of the appetizers before our entree was served. Iron Chef, Beau came out to meet us and was gracious and amazingly talented. The Asian Fusion tastes are imaginative and unique. Favorite appetizer was the candied bacon with kale polenta which I considered ordering 2 of them as an entree. Other honorable mentions are: shishito peppers, kimchi shrimp and the Kung pao cauliflower. My entree, Maine lobster udon in a creamy lobster sauce was the stuff dreams are made. Met three girlfriends here for lunch. A perfect spot with a perfect view and we were able to stay for a long visit. Wonderful service. Food, just OK. Had roasted pepper soup and salad. Neither deserved more than three stars. Salad was served in a small bowl and the salad pieces were large. Trying to cut the greens caused the bowl to tip and salad to go all over the table.That is an easy fix with a flat plate and smaller pieces of lettuce. Salad dressing was the tasteless. First time here. Ordered the roasted chicken bento box, steak frittes, and tomato soup. For starters we had the chips bowl and a banana split desert. All in all the food was ok and way over priced. The bento box salad was over done with garlic and the chicken was dry. The fry's with the steak were extremely oily and same with the starters. Beautiful setting, delicious food, and friendly service make this a wonderful place to dine. Had dinner here with the bf for a nice night out. We had reservations for 6:00 p.m.: just in time to catch the start of the sunset. The view was amazing. The only downside was that the sun was in my eyes for about 10-15 minutes because the shade on one of the windows wasn't working. The waitress was very nice about it, but I would recommend reserving one of the more secluded window booths if possible. We ordered the oysters to start -- both oven baked and raw. The oven baked oysters were a slight variation on oysters Rockefeller, and were great. The raw ones were flavorful but not overwhelming. Bf got the soup of the day, which was a tomato cream-based soup with shrimp and heirloom tomatoes. I tried some and it was fantastic. As for the entrees: I ordered the seared sea scallops and the bf had the NY strip steak. The scallops were perfection. The pasta and roasted peppers that accompanied the scallops were a nice complement to their slightly nutty flavor. The steak was tender and well-prepared. The caramelized onions and vegetable side that came with the steak weren't great, but that was the only downside to the meal. We had the "red" dessert. Overall, we both loved it, although the raspberries in sweet pesto sauce were somewhat questionable. The tab was high, but we both left well-satisfied (but not disgustingly stuffed) and thinking about our next splurge at Elements. read more

First time at Elements and it did not disappoint. 5 stars plus to Denise our waitress. I had the pork chop with brussels sprouts which was flawlessly prepared with incredible flavor. Same for the wife who chose the ribeye. The beautiful views only made the experience that much better. I took my wife here for our 29th wedding anniversary because she loves Chef Beau. We had cocktails in the bar and they were pretty spectacular! Then we were seated right on time for our reservation which is always great. The wait staff was extremely attentive including offering to take a picture of us outside by the sunset. The soup was good and they were very nice to split it for us even though we didn't ask for it(and unlike other "fancy" restaurants there was never talk of charging for it). We had the tuna and calamari for appys and they were also fantastic. Then the Lobster Carbonara (life changing!!!). And the Hoisin braised short ribs which were tasty. Ok. Yes. We ordered way too much but other fancy places sometimes the portions are small. NOT AT BEAU'S!!! I swear there was an entire lobster in that carbonara. And they gave us a very nice free dessert for our anniversary. Top to bottom this was one of our best experiences! We will be back. read more

Elements is one of my favorite restaurants in the valley and my husband and I dine there almost weekly. Sadly, we just returned from one of the most awful experiences. We were sat in a booth right in front of the restaurant's wait station so there was constant noise throughout our entire meal. No intimacy whatsoever and not exactly enjoyable. Not what you'd expect for a $300+ dinner. In addition, the staff was extremely inattentive tonight. When we were first seated no one cared to explain the specials for the evening nor introduce themselves as who would be taking care of us. The server that refilled our water glasses kept spilling our drinks all over our table and my husband! I asked for a club soda and was given a glass filled with maybe 1/4 club soda and nothing but ice. Then the server had the audacity to say the price of the barely filled club soda glass is the equivalent of a cocktail. Completely ridiculous. Just extremely disappointed since the hubby & I were really looking forward to Christmas dinner and then only to met with this lackluster experience. read more

This has become my go to place for bringing people from out of town. The views are spectacular and the service is wonderful. Get a reservation around sunset and you will not be disappointed. The food is consistently tasty. We have had the short rib, lobster pasta, and a duck dish most recently. All of it was generously portioned and well done. The desserts are also not to be missed. They are well plated and a beautiful end to a great meal. This isn't the cheapest spot but you do get an experience with it. read more

If you live in Phoenix and haven't been to Elements, then you are missing out. One of the best restaurants in Phoenix - great food, great service, great views. My wife and I have made this our anniversary dinner for the last three years and have yet to be disappointed. That said, it's expensive, but worth the money. Came here for dinner following my afternoon wedding. Called far in advance ( and had 3 separate conversations about our special reservation request) for a coveted booth reservation by the windows. Accepted an 8:30 reservation as it was the ONLY time available that would work for us....... if we wanted one of the very popular private window booths. Arrived early and had a delightful time on the bar patio. We should have left after enjoying a wonderful mussel appetizer and great wine! We were escorted to a dinner booth at 8:30... NOT the booth we had requested by the windows. We were "perched" in the back of the restaurant in a booth overlooking the dining room. Not a booth I would wait for or request.... No one seemed to know that we had specifically requested a window booth... communication breakdown??? yet after explaining our frustration, the manager on duty quickly made it right. Our food was just ok... unusual for this 5 star restaurant! Nothing was said to us about the lengthy wait and frustrating experience after extensive planning. Honestly.... this won't be my "go to" restaurant anymore. read more
