I really love this place, the ambience it's amazing and the service it's outstanding, they always checking on you making sure you are having a good experience. The food is delicious. I personally love sea food and their lobster bucatini is just sooo good. Dessert was incredible too, Galaktoboureco and poached pear it's personally perfect for me. Amazing addition to downtown Campbell! Took over the old opa restaurant and made it upscale. Had the lunch chicken schwarma and it was so so good that I'm ready to go back a week later to get it again. They use chicken thighs and it was super moist and juicy. They have freshly hot buns with an olive oil dip and offered me more since I devoured it before my food came out but I didn't want to spoil my appetite. You know a restaurant is going to be really good if they can get their bread right. The service from the host to waitress was five stars! Super friendly all around. This place definitely needs some work. When the staff finally comes around, they are polite however they are hardly ever seen. Cocktails take at least 20 minutes and are by no means impressive. The food is not very good. We had the watermelon and feta salad, which was pretty tasty. However we ordered the flaming cheese and they failed to bring out any pita and took roughly 30 minutes to finally get some out by then that SHES had already been completely hardened and un edible. I had the lamb chops for my meal and they asked me how I wanted them prepared. I asked for medium and when they came out over 50 minutes later they were just as raw as if you bought them from a store. We have been there several times hoping for a better experience but are consistently disappointed. We won't be attending anymore. read more

For food, we got: -Free bread(5/5): A restaurant that doesn't charge for bread gets an automatic extra star. Their rolls were freshly baked and still warm. The complimentary olive tapenade was balanced and not too salty. Love! -Spanakotiropita (5/5): Did you know that when a spanakopita includes cheese, it becomes a spanakotiropita? I didn't either until today. You get two generously filled "spinach pies" encased in airy dough that almost evaporates as soon as it hits your tongue. The feta-spinach combo is full of flavor. It's the best version of this famous Greek dish that I've ever had and an absolute must-order app. -Coconut ceviche (5/5): I love that they serve the ceviche in a freshly halved coconut. You get a little martini glass of the fruit's coconut water and can even eat the inner flesh. As for the ceviche, there was a ton of fresh fish, which you could actually taste thanks to the very mild acidity. I didn't see any of the advertised prawns on the menu, but they weren't missed. The avocado, pickled red onions, and mango chunks added a ton of flavor. Their home-made (?) taro chips were fresh and crispy--another outstanding dish. -Lamb and beef sliders (4.5): These bad boys took quite a while to come out, but didn't disappoint. You could taste both lamb and beef without one overpowering the other. The meat was juicy and perfectly seasoned. Because the bun was quite thick and there wasn't enough sauce, it was a little dry. But after ditching the bread, we could focus on the protein, which was fabulous. Overall, an awesome first experience. I really wanted to like Elia, especially since it replaced Opa, but there were simply too many service missteps for us to consider coming back. We visited on a Wednesday night when the restaurant wasn't busy, which made the experience even more surprising. After being seated, no server ever came to greet us. We eventually flagged down someone who appeared to be a manager to order drinks. She later returned to say our drink order was in and took our dinner order. Then the food started arriving before the drinks, which is always frustrating. We ordered the saganaki, but it came without bread. We had to ask for it separately, and by the time the bread arrived, the cheese had already cooled off. We also ordered sparkling water, yet a busser repeatedly tried to top off our glasses with still water. It sounds minor, but it's another example of the lack of attention to detail. Once all of our food arrived, we were essentially forgotten. No one checked on us, no one asked if we needed anything, and when we were ready to leave, we had to ask the hostess for our check. After waiting again, we finally got up and went looking for someone to process our payment. At that point, it honestly crossed my mind that we could have just walked out. The restaurant seems very focused on creating a trendy, Instagram-worthy atmosphere, but the basics of hospitality just weren't there. A beautiful space can't make up for disorganized service. Came to celebrate wedding anniversary with Mediterranean and Greek cuisine. Made reservation for two for Sunday night @ 6pm. Arrived and seated on a small table for two by the entrance. Realize the table was too small for what we're about to order and request one of the empty booths. Hostess seated us after checking if it was reserved or not. Our server came by after bread and water was served and we ordered Fitvine Sparkling non-alcoholic chardonnay to toast the occasion. Then the calamari and grilled cauliflower for appetizers with the main courses of Moussaka and today's special of Swordfish as our server suggested. The calamari were very tender, and the grilled cauliflower was exceptionally flavorful. Moussaka was excellent and the Swordfish presentation with mango salsa, grilled asparagus and small potatoes more than satisfied my palate. Greek music was playing throughout the evening, and many diners were seating on the patio as it was a warm and comfortable evening. Growing up Greek, I am often pretty critical of Greek restaurants, but this one didn't disappoint. We went for lunch, sharing a few appetizers and meals. Octopus appetizer. Don't say often but it was the perfect appetizer. Octopus cooked perfectly, tender with the right char. The salad that came with it was the exact right mix of fresh and salty. Great start! Zucchini cakes were excellent. Only feedback, for price thought there might be 3 instead of 2. Moussaka - Very good. I tend to like it to be eggplant heavy, but this was more balanced but still quite good due to the thin slicing. Flavor was on point. Keftedes - A lamb forward flavor, which was a good thing as it wasn't gamey at all. Again, seasoning on point and accompaniments, just right. Had a couple cocktails, both very good and well balanced. Service was friendly and attentive. Was a light, lunch crowd, so there was time to chat, and they took the time to do it. This place is a huge step up from Opa, which it replaced, and prices are very similar. Definitely not a cheap lunch, but also not terrible for the area. Came here last night expecting a great time and dinner but left feeling very upset and disrespected. I booked a dinner reservation for myself and my girlfriend for 7:45 pm at Elia. We arrived at 7:22 to check in with the host, but as we were too early we were invited to sit at the bar to wait for our table which was no issue. We arrived at the bar and were barely acknowledged, we were asked only once about drinks and afterwards essentially forgotten with nobody checking up on us. At around 8:00 pm the host came back and let us know that the table we had reserved was in the final minutes of preparation, the previous party had already paid, and that she had not forgotten us however it felt otherwise. We continued to wait and in the meantime noticed something very odd. We witnessed a bald server in a white shirt take nicotine pouches and insert them into his mouth before dropping the case of the pouches on the ground. Another server in a suit came by and picked them up before stuffing them in his pocket. Being in an environment where food and drinks are handled it was very unsanitary and unsettling to see the server do this. Finally at around 8:20 more than 30 minutes after our reservation time my girlfriend and I decided to pay for the drinks we ordered at the beginning and leave. As we got up and moved towards the exit another server/manager came up to us stating "I was just about to come over, your table will be ready in 2 minutes." However at this point we were very upset and felt forgotten the entire evening so we just wanted to leave. It felt as if their efforts were too little too late. What we hoped to be a memorable evening became an experience we would never like to have again. While we understand restaurants can get busy and sometimes run behind the lack of care, communication, and overall service is something we wish to bring attention to at Elia. Safe to say we will not be returning. read more

Decor WOW. Food WOW. We had a variety of mezzes and entrees so I will just mention my favorites! Mezzes - Octopus, artichokes, and dolmathes...and for the mains - Lamb Chops and Seabass. Service was IMPECCABLE. We started at the bar with Bekir, and what a delight to find a bartender who genuinely has a passion for his craft! We then moved to a table and had the pleasure of being served by Jesse who was extremely knowledgeable about every part of the menu we asked about and he also had us laughing constantly. My friends and I came here on Saturday for my birthday dinner 9:30pm, reservation for four at a booth. 1. We got sat directly in front of the kitchen door. The restaurant was dimly lit, so whenever someone came in or out of the kitchen, it felt like a blast of bright light. Would not recommend booth seating unless you're looking for more privacy. 2. No one helped us or checked on us. Had to ask several times for things. 3. Seemed like servers focused more on the bottle service experience, rather than selling that experience to every table. I would appreciate a better balance. 4. I understand the fun of sparklers, but it made the whole place smell like fireworks and humid. Moral of the story, the ambience, food, and drinks deserve the hype. The staff were pretty friendly as well. I rarely leave reviews like this, but our experience at Elia was disappointing enough that I feel it needs to be addressed. My boyfriend and I had a reservation for two at 7:45 PM and arrived at 7:22 PM. We completely understood that our table wasn't ready, so we went to the bar to have a drink while we waited. Unfortunately, the service at the bar was extremely poor. We were barely acknowledged when we arrived, and after receiving our first drink, nobody came back to check on us, ask if we wanted another drink, or see if we wanted anything to eat. Around 8:00 PM, the host came over and told us that the guests at the table we were supposed to have were leaving and reassured us that she hadn't forgotten about us. We continued waiting patiently. However, shortly afterward, we watched two other parties get seated while we were still waiting for our reservation, which was incredibly frustrating and confusing. Afterwards, a bald waiter wearing a white shirt was standing right next to us at the bar. We watched him take his Zyns and put them in his mouth while standing right next to us. As he walked away from where we were seated, he then dropped the entire case of Zyns on the floor. Another waiter in a suit noticed what happened, picked the Zyns up from the floor, and stuffed them into his pocket. Watching employees handle Zyns in this manner right next to guests and in an area where food and drinks are being served was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. This was not something we expected to witness while waiting for our table at a restaurant. As we were leaving at 8:20 PM -- after 30+ minutes of waiting for our table beyond our reservation time -- another employee in a suit approached us and said he had "just been about to come up" to tell us our table would be ready in two minutes and that he would buy us a drink. At that point, however, the experience had already gone far beyond simply waiting for a table. We had received almost no attention at the bar, watched other parties get seated ahead of us, and witnessed something that made us extremely uncomfortable. We decided to leave and went to Wild Rose Eatery & Bar instead, where we had a much better experience. Elia management, I genuinely hope someone reaches out to me about this. I would like to understand how this situation was allowed to happen and why our experience was handled this way. For a restaurant at this level, I expected much better service, communication, and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience completely ruined what was supposed to be a nice evening, and based on what happened, we will not be returning. read more

It was my first time going to Elia last night, and we were a big group. The food was definitely below average--some of the dishes were terrible. The decor and ambiance were great, though. The main reason we went was for the entertainment, and it really sucked. Based on videos and Instagram posts, I expected Elia to be known for its entertainment, but apparently not at the Campbell location. We waited a long time, hoping the DJ would start the music and get people dancing, but nothing happened. Definitely not a place I'd go back to a second time. read more

What really made this restaurant special was the friendly staff who were always attentive and even wrapped up our takeout. The ambiance was also lovely, and while I don't drink alcohol, the bar inside was artistic and seemed like a fantastic place to hang out and enjoy a drink with a friend. Then, the waitress took a coffee order but came back to tell us the coffee machine was broken. When the waitress arrived, we asked if they could make the omelette without feta. She said she had to ask the cook. Are the omelettes pre-made or do they use magical eggs which contain feta? We decided to order a different omelette (crab) which came out dry and salty. The other food was good, but the topper was waiting for the check.
