Grilled chicken panini pesto and Cesar salad with grilled chicken.

Cute diner along Route 40. Stopped in one late evening in early March with my husband. The menu is enormous as to be expected from a diner and the service was very friendly. My husband got the Cesar Salad with grilled chicken and it was enormous. I got the grilled chicken and pesto panini. Our entrees were sufficient but the star of the entire weal was our soup that came with the meal. I had the butternut squash soup and he had the split pea soup. The pricing was reasonable and the restrooms were clean. If I come back, I'd definitely get the soup again.

Consistent food on my weekly trip. I love the breakfast and it's so much it's enough for lunch. The staff is courteous and always remembers you. One of the few diners that have Italian sausage and fry it right. Thanks Thanks

Doesn't look appetizing spread on a big plate but it was really good. Need some baskets!

Stopped coming here quite a few years back. Had some rough meals. I THINK its a new owner. Setting is your typical NJ diner. Being in Elmer the clientele is interesting. Just some good ol' S Jersey country folk I got the Honey Dipped chicken. The pieces were very small. I couldn't tell what was the wing and what was the drumstick. It was plated on a regular size plate with small pieces if lettuce or something scattered as a garnish. Looked ridiculous. My little wing was dry but the rest was delicious. My crab soup was very good for a diner and had real crabmeat. Coleslaw had too much mayo and my corn was pale and mushy but I was full anyway. My wife got the chicken bruschetta special. She enjoyed it and the portion was huge. Had a nice size salad as well. Chocolate pudding and whip cream for desert as it came with her meal. Yum. Our server was very pleasant. Id gone 4 stars if the sides were good and the chicken bigger.

I ordered the classic cheesesteak, Boston clam chowder, and ice cream . My dad got the chicken grinder lunch special with sweet potato fries, the crab soup, and bread pudding. My dad is still talking about that lunch! He loved it. Best sweet potato fries I've ever had. I would definitely order those again with any meal! My dad's soup was a little thick for me. I didn't taste his grinder but he said it was good. I ordered my sandwich with extra lettuce and had to ask for more; it came right away. I only was able to eat half and ate the other half later. Delicious! My soup was tasty. I also got the chocolate and strawberry ice cream. Strawberry had lots of fruit in it. They didn't have any toppings. It was Yummy! Kay,our waitress, greeted me as soon as I arrived. I ordered coffee and she said it was brewing. She remembered it as soon as it was done. She took great care of us despite the crowd. Everything was delicious. The amount of food was enough for several more meals afterward. The menu reads like a small novel it is so big. This is a classic diner.

Today was no exception. Their grilled chicken sandwich was not what I hoped for. On the plus side, it was a generous portion of chicken, most of which I took home. As a negative -- at least for me -- I like a flat filet, with grill marks. This was "chunky," rendering it clumsy to eat. It simply didn't taste grilled at all. And the chicken was dry. T ordered a country omelet that was filled with breakfast meats, cheddar and peppers. Though not my thing, I agreed it was pretty good. His grits were creamy, buttery and delicious. Coffee is strong and served in the old-fashioned heavy mugs that I favor. Our server was friendly. ("Where are you from?" she asked, picking up on my Brooklyn accent.) I asked if Greek lemon soup is ever on the menu. She said that the owners are Turkish, then gave me a rundown of their specialties, all of which sound delish. (Alas, no avgolemono.) I wouldn't hesitate to return to Folcroft. The menu is diverse, the restaurant is clean -- as pointed out by another Yelper AND our waitress. If you order the right thing, you'll no doubt be pleased.

That's creamed chipped beef over toast with two eyes any style but I get mine poached or over easy accompanied by grits. Yes. Grits. Which explains my finally trying their sausage and gravy. Quite traditional dish I'm told by a Floridian friend who I had join me this past week while she visited. We agreed that the server was allowing us the time we needed to catch up with the right amount of follow up. I'd have liked to have my water refilled one more time. But that was on me for not stopping to ask as she poured another cup of coffee for my friend. I've had their coffee and it's delicious. My friend enjoyed the international omelette. She enjoyed it. The diner has its own parking lot with plenty of parking. The inside is eclectic but with definite typical Jersey diner vibes and the counter and stools to go with it. I've sat at the counter and the service is cordial and inviting. Quick too when necessary. Enjoy if you are coming to or from ACY as it's close and you'll feel satisfied either arriving into the area before heading to AC or returning home. Enjoy!

Short hop off the highway, near the large factory next to a large gas station and a bunch of trucks, is the Deepwater diner. If you're looking for Michelin star or haute cuisine; you're way off the mark. Simple honest working man's food, ya know like trucker diner food. Wait staff super friendly, cleared dishes quickly and service was on point. Waitress was kind and pleasant, explained options over and over without any hint of exasperation. We asked for the Greek salad to be without so much cheese, she was right on it. We ordered country fried chicken steak, meatloaf, hamburger deluxe and whole rack of ribs. The Greek salad starter was great, as was the crab bisque. They sent us a free appetizer of fries, fried Mac / cheese and chicken nuggets, it was delish. Then the food arrived, they were fred flintstone sized. Generous would be an understatement. Our international student friend who ate with us called it 'American sized' As much as we tried, we could not make a dent. Threw in the towel and packed most of it to go. Then they served us free ice cream. We went for strawberry, mint chocolate chip, moose tracks (reeces and chocolate chunks) and dark cherry. Some of the best we've had in some time. (Waitress said it's from Water Ice cream in Philly). Gluttons that we are, we got the whip cream on top. We'll Get back on the diet wagon next week. They also had signs for kids under 13 eat free!
