When our food arrived, my salad had croutons on it. We waved down a different waiter who apologized and took it back right away for a replacement - she was lovely. When our original waiter came to check on us, he asked us if my salad "looked safe" and chuckled. Granted, all I was eating now was a bowl of lettuce, dressing, and cheese as it was my only option. I informed him the first salad had croutons on it, which his response was something along the lines of "Haha Oh, yeah I didn't write it down without croutons. My bad." As someone with an allergy, I didn't feel like I was safe to eat anything here. The waiters attitude was not only dismissive and disrespectful, but allergies not being taken seriously is dangerous and playing with someone's wellbeing. Hopefully they'll do better in the future so others with allergies can experience a safe and enjoyable meal. In the meantime, if you have any allergies you will find better service, safety, and food options elsewhere.

Fries are the right thickness with a crispy seasoned exterior, fluffy inside. They give you a spoon with the shake and it stands upright, they're THICK!! The kicker?? Zucchini fries. More like zucchini logs. The batter is perfection. It's not thin or thick but it doesn't fall off or apart with each bite and you can actually bite through the whole thing. Go eat at Jimmy's, you won't be disappointed. Not to mention the staff is super friendly.

The decor here is spot on for old time dinner.

I've been a regular customer of Elmers for many years and the food as well as the service has deteriorated. This last meal I received was the simple fish and chips. When the waitress brought the food, I immediately sent it back. It was obvious the fish and the fries were bathing in grease and not fully cooked. She did replace the meal, however I had to ask three times for som ranch dressing, only to receive it when I was almost finished eating. The coffee was so bad, I had to put three creamers in the cup just to stomach it down. It tasted like it was brewed that morning. I understand that covid has taken its role on food costs and employee retention, but I have given this much thought to leave this post. The portions have been reduced to something similar to a happy meal. The waitress brought me some garlic bread as I waited for my refire meal and the "toast" was a stale piece of bread barely warm that had no garlic taste. I tried to ignore that, but it was free so I didn't say anything. The only reason I am posting this is because I have seen the change over the years of food quality and preparation, seasoning, and now tge service too. We did tip the waitress, as it wasn't entirely her fault that the food was so poor. I won't be back to elmers of grants pass for a while as the bad taste in my mouth will take some time before I give them another chance. read more

I stop by this restaurant each time I visit Grants Pass because the food is always excellent, the service people friendly, attentive and happy. It is amazing in this day and age, how a restaurant that belongs to a corporation can be unique, and consistent like it continues to be. I attribute that to their manager, Rae Whitehouse! She's unique, warm, friendly and interested in making sure everything was perfect for customers. Customers definitely feel they're important. I observed her with employees and thought she was gifted working with them as well - a great people person. Rae is obviously, a kind soul, excellent business woman and yet still keeps a watchful eye on business. I'll be back, again and again! read more

My family and I came here a few months back. The waitresses was only unattentive to us and chatted it up with another table but extremely rude the 2 times that she did come to check and see if we needed anything. We had to practically raise our hands as though we were in grade school to get our check and to go boxes. So here we are 3 months later and figured we would give it another go with a take out order and the woman hung up on my husband after she said hello and he asked "is this elmer's". Long story short if you are not a senior citizen I would not recommend this restaurant to an enemy read more

I had reservations for 20.at 2:pm. Emma (server) had everything ready. She put tables together in a row so the church of God family could all set together . The food came in a short time. We go to this Elmer's 2-5 times a week, we sit in the bar, but the food is wonderful no matter where you sit, They have such a professional way of treating you and yet you always feel at home. Elmer's has become my go to restaurant since the closing of Della's. They are deffinitely above the cut on almost all of their breakfast food. My only complaints are that they skimp a bit on the fruit put on pancakes. And they've got the worst burnt coffee I've ever found. read more

As I understand it, they are/were open until 3pm. No reason posted as to why they were closed (maybe family emergency or something- things happen) anyways, we drove from the Jerome Prairie area specifically to check out this eatery. We won't do that again, as we found an alternative much closer to us that really excells. C'est la vie.
