Most everything was good and decent portions on the seafood baskets. The Cobb salad looked nothing like picture online. However it had a lot of fresh items just not much avocado as seen online and the ranch dressing was plentiful but tasteless. It was a decent salad but the chicken was hard and not very meaty. Service - excellent! Ambiance - just fine. My gripe is with the food, specifically the lack of pork sausage patties for breakfast. Apparently some corporate bean-counter decided that breakfast sausage links are now preferable to patties, so Elmer's did away with the patties. The costs basis for this decision is not known. I travel to Costco from Coos Bay periodically, and it has been my habit to get eggs & sausage patties for breakfast on the way in. It looks like those days are now over. I'll have to try Shari's or some other place close by. Oh, and it doesn't help that Elmer's is now charging 4 bucks for a cup of coffee. It's good coffee, but it's not four dollar coffee. read more

Everything about this Elmer's is wonderful!! The food was excellent with plenty of selections to choose from. We visited this location while on vacation with our friends and family. The service was truly OUTSTANDING!! The first time we visited (there were just 4 of us ladies) "Johnna" was our server. She couldn't have been more pleasant, patient and friendly, not to mention she was such a beautiful lady! The second time we had "Christopher" who served our party of 15 - he was WONDERFUL! Our food came in less than 5 min*** however*** ICE COLD. The Cinnamon Bun Pancake is to die for however THE Avocado EGGS BENEDICT LOOKS AMAZING TO THE EYE ....... IT LACKS ..... 1. Flavor, literally flavorless. 2. Cheap muffin..... Weird texture is not like a toasted muffin. 3. Sauce is chalky once again no flavor or even a hint of a hollandaise. 4. We love Elmer's. But tonight, I ordered 1 fish and chips and 2 prime rib dinners to go, baked potatos w/everything, 1 med and 1 med rare. Got fish & chips all good. The prime rib dinners were not marked as to which was rare and which was med rare, the potatoes were dumped in the container whole and uncut, no butter. Utensils for 2, not 3 and no horseradish sauce, bread or anything else. We paid quite enough for this disappointing meal. Have never been disappointed in Elmers over the years until now. read more

Had a great breakfast. The works hash browns are awesome. The omelette was fantastic. I think it was called the sun omelette.

I had lunch with a friend. I enjoyed the French dip. But he wasn't as satisfied with the fish n chips,. Our waitress was lovely the service was prompt and friendly. When we went to pay the check. The mgr asked about our experience, and because my friend wasn't thrilled with the fish, the mgr. knocked off $6.00. Wow! I was impressed by the generosity and respect given. Despite the good reviews, I wasn't impressed with Elmer's restaurant. I was staying in a nearby hotel which recommended Elmer's so we dropped by for dinner. It's located right off the freeway and near several hotels so it is convenient for travelers. Dinner was fine, but portion sizes were small. I'd normally give it a 3/5 stars, but I'm knocking off a star due to the inflated rating and small portion sizes. Food was alright. Better than Denny's, but nothing special. There's not a whole ton of options in the area outside of fast food so I wasn't too disappointed. I feel that their prices are fairly high for what they offer and their portion sizes are pretty pathetic. Service was fine, but dinner came out slow despite it being late and not very busy. Would I be back if I ever stay in Grant's Pass again? Maybe if I wanted an easy dinner and was too lazy to explore further off the freeway. Our waitress was a helpful, lovely woman who was running around all on her own so the pace of placing an order/ receiving our food was very slow. I ordered the eggs benedict with a side of fruit, not to be picky but my fruit was warm. Aside from the oddly warm fruit, my meal was perfect. My mom ordered the crab salad (can't recall what it's referred to on the menu) and really enjoyed it. The lettuce, in her words, was "very questionable." The crab, avocado, and bacon was the highlight of the salad for sure. The prices here are pretty reasonable, and it's worth a shot if you're passing through! read more

This is loooong overdue bec I couldn't find my info, but I feel it is very important to put this out there. Manager Brandon Orlow was very rude to newer pregnant employee and my mom and I when asking what came on an item bec the menu did not state it. He told the 3 of us to "Read the menu". Before this point, my 73 year old mom and I were waiting to be helped and this horrible manager Brandon never once greeted us or told us someone would be with us or anything for a good 25-30 minutes he kept calling up customers that needed to be checked out instead of helping us first. Very rude and unprofessional to not acknowledge us. I was so upset that others could tell and asked what was wrong and if they could help me...I do not know how this manager got this position bec he is NOT manager material. I've managed for over 17 years and he did not handle himself well at all talking to a new employee and 2 guests the way he did. We are not stupid. We did read the menu and my mom is allergic to tomatoes so we needed to know if they were on the sandwich. You should be talking to the people that work with him or ask them to anonymously write their opinion of him and I bet you'd discover a lot. Btw, there were tomatoes on it and you could have put my mom in the hospital!!!! Luckily 3 other female employees heard our question and caught our order before it was made! They are the only reason you got 2 stars bec the food ended up not being so great. The 4 ladies deserve 5 stars but I need to ensure this manager is atleast spoken to. read more

I opted for the Bacon & Tillamook® Potato Cakes & Eggs made with Tillamook cheddar cheese, onion & Daily's® smokehouse bacon topped with sour cream It comes with 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon and a tiny little side of applesauce. It was so good we literally had to come back today for it again! Today we were helped out by Hope and yet again everything was amazing. Keith's even came over to say hello again which was sweet. We also got to chat with the General Manager Trina and she was a sweetheart. Never have I been to an establishment where I have felt SO welcomed!
