My wife and I came here with our parents last week the day we moved into town. The location is nice just off of Mesa. It was a beautiful day so we sat on the patio with a nice view of the mountains. I had the guacenaro sandwich was was very good. My wife and mom had the eggs Benedict and were please with the meals. Also at the table were the turkey club and the Cuban which were also liked. I came here on a Monday around lunch time with my wife and our toddler looking for a place to grab a bite. The server told us to sit anywhere which is usually a bad sign of slow service. I noticed the place had kind of a gross fishy smell which wasn't very appetizing. I noticed a few people outside that had not even received drinks yet, then realized there was only one server. I think Eloise is great! They cater well to the vegetarian/vegan community. A lot of the people who work here are very friendly and give great service. However, they change their menu often so don't plan on having a "regular" order there. I've fallen in love with many a dish only for it to be taken off of the menu in two months. But that's okay, because they always add new, tasty items! On Mondays you get a discount if you eat a meat free meal. They have good coffee, and a great full bar. The only issue I ever had there was a seating issue. My fiancé and I went in to eat one day, and they told us that since there are only two of us, we HAD to sit at one of the two people high tables. These high tables have these chairs that have the smallest seats in all the land. If you are a short person who hates high seats or someone who has a butt at all, these chairs aren't comfortable at all. They are definitely not good for people with bad knees. When I asked if there was anyway we could sit at one of the lower tables, they told us no. This is because they were "reserving those tables for parties bigger than two people." That's fair, however, those lower tables remained empty the whole time we ate. My knees started hurting and my butt went numb, so I asked if we could sit outside on their picnic table style seats. Thankfully, they said yes to this. I'm not sure if they changed this "policy." I haven't been told to sit on those uncomfortable seats anymore, so maybe they have. To me, it seems silly not to accommodate guests so they can have a comfortable experience. Even if that means allowing them to sit somewhere else. I've worked in restaurants quite a bit, and if a guest asked to sit in a different spot than the one we placed them in, we let them. I was not sure what to expect. I loved the vibe & feel of the place, but the food was not good. I ordered a Cuban sandwich (I'm from Miami and expected a Cuban sandwich) and lord!! Idk what the heck it was. The meat was dry, the service was not good. The server took forever to take our order, when only four people were actually eating. I will not be coming back. I have Been. Coming here since I moved to El Paso last year and must say it is an excellent bar and a great restaurant. I'm usually s patron of the bar but the restaurant has impressed me as well. I have always had excellent very friendly service even when busy. The food is amazing, their menu is a bit too much on the vegetarian side , but even those dishes are awesome and this is coming from a die hard carnivore. They have some excellent craft beers and craft cocktails as well. This really isn't a place for young kids , so pls ignore the idiots who have dinges this place for that. I adore this place! I've gone in during the early afternoon for some coffee and studying and the french press is perfect! I've also come in for dinner and drinks and the waiter let us know that their entire menu (breakfast, lunch, dinner) is available all day. The food is pretty tasty and they have plenty of great vegetarian options. I think the only reason I didn't go for the full five stars is because the prices are a little steep for food that could be a little better. read more

Great tasting coffee. I'm a caramel Latte drinker, Eloise does not have caramel and bartender offered me almond. That was definitely the right choice. Have been back twice in a week. I am intrigued with their infused vodkas which I am going to try. Eloise also serves food. I'm an early riser and their full breakfast menu is available at 11:00. I have only had brunch at this establishment but I had the Pork Belly Eggs Benedict and it was amazing. Is it me, or is like every restaurant and bar in a strip mall!? In any case, this place is super cute and has some great cocktails. My friends and I went for drinks after dinner and they suggested this place since it was close by and they'd been before. It kinda reminded me of back in the day, Dolce Vita was open over on Cincinnati Street. Its cute inside and would never think you're in a strip mall. We didn't eat, so I can't attest for the food, but I ordered a French 75, my go to Gin drink and was not disappointed. The staff was friendly and attentive despite being fairly busy with dinner guests and bar guests. Next time I am back in EP, I will have to try this place for brunch read more

Stopped by after reading great reviews & it did not disappoint! I was greeted immediately by a couple of staff & served right away. My mojito was perfect with lots of delicious fresh mint! I was torn between two menu items & Rachel recommended the long green curry as it was more filling & just awesome. And it was! Chock full of garden goodness & absolutely delicious! This is my arguably my favorite bar on the westside. It's got a small but nice outdoor area to sit in as well as an equally chill indoor area to sit and eat/drink. The staff is super friendly, especially the taller bartender with glasses. Prices are reasonable too. Then again, I'm coming from NYC where a drink is $12. I tend to come on weeknights for night caps with my friends cause Eloise has gotten more popular and is kinda crazy on the weekends. Oh and the coffee is crazy good! So happy to find this place in West ELP. Their coffee is fantastic, food is solid too although menu is eclectic. The beet hummus is fantastic - sounded odd, but really good - as was the lentil wrap. Eloise is a great space. It's original decor and menu are a unique twist on the coffee + beer thing. The atmosphere is laid back and the music is on point. I enjoy the chill vibes and that's one of the reasons I go. Things I love: the staff are great. I've never had a bad experience with anyone that works there. David is seriously the best drink maker I've ever encountered and I have traveled the U.S. and abroad a LOT. He has the Midas touch without a doubt. Also the food is pretty delicious. I'm not vegan or vegetarian but I can appreciate the lifestyle for its merits and also appreciate what the owner is doing with the menu. I probably wouldn't have tried seitan if it didn't come with something else and I actually like it. Also the beans on the lamb tacos are out of this world. I'm definitely willing to try meat free Monday's which is a brilliant concept. Coffee drinks are tasty and when they aren't the staff is more than willing to right whatever wrong has occurred to your taste buds. Things I don't love: when people are sitting in our corner booth when we get there. All in all Eloise is much more than a bar or a coffee spot. The drinks are good enough, atmosphere is okay. The trouble, however, is the food. It's just not that great. Particularly the masaman curry, which, to be bluntly honest, is just plain bad. BAD. I'm a rail road worker with autoimmune issues who just rolled into El Paso from California last night. I basically cant eat anything (grain, eggs, cheese, wheat, corn, most meat, etc) and looked up Vegan options on Google Maps. Eloise came up so we stopped here. The ambiance and art is the first thing you notice, the place is great and seems to be a gem here in the city. Was super stoked to enter and see they have tons of infused house made spirits on the shelves, craft cocktails and fine coffee. We ordered a mimosa (which was pleasantly surprisingly made with fresh squeezed OJ) and a michelada since our job got pushed out until tomorrow. Both were perfect. I asked the bartender about their poblano dish on the menu and asked if it was breaded due to my wheat allergy, he happily explained it was not. You also get to pick your protein with any dish (veggie/vegan choiced include seitan and tofu) so I had my poblano stuffed with fried tofu. It's also meatless Monday here today, so I got 20% off my choice. My dish came out and it was DELICIOUS. There was fresh avocado and delicious food stuffed into a roasted poblano with a fantastic ranchero sauce over the top served with a fresh and flavorful salad of spring mix. As someone who is so limited on what I can eat, it was great to find a place that packs the flavor while still meeting your needs. None of the dry, boring, bland tomato slices here or a gross garden salad. I wish I could eat here every day. I will be back again this week for dinner before leaving El Paso. read more

Service always disappoints. Cocktails and liquor infusions are very creative, however that does not mean they taste good, they don't. They have some good coffee and some good baristas. My daughter and her boyfriend came to visit from Los Angeles and they always have such a hard time finding good vegan food in El Paso. Eloise was a true gift in the diversity of options that are offered for vegans and the quality and taste of the food was top notch. We started with the vegan nachos that were delicious the cheese was nice and melted the Protien texture was just like meat. We also had the guacamole which was fresh delicious and had a slightly tart flavor served with light crunchy tostada chips. For the entrée I ordered empanadas my daughter had the cauliflower tacos and her boyfriend had the buffalo chicken sandwich. All were very uniquely prepared and tasted great and the portions were pretty large. I definitely recommend the empanadas and the buffalo sandwich, the tacos were good but nothing extraordinary. Our waitress was great very attentive and the restaurant overall was pretty clean. We did get an order of brownie bites and since they are vegan they weren't as chewy as I would like but still very tasty. read more

Eloise was a fantastic surprise for El Paso! The menu really catered to vegans (but plenty of non vegan options as well!) we ordered the vegan nachos and they were the best nachos I've ever had! Amazing! My husband ordered the burger and said it was in the top 5 burgers he's ever had in his life. I ordered the hatch Chile curry with brown rice and it was pretty good, although I think I would have gotten something different if I had a do-over (the rice was a little dry and it was a tad heavy on the potatoes, which were good). We also went on a Monday night and found out as we were paying our bill that everything that was meat-free was 20% off for "meat free Monday"! I LOVE that they incentivize meat-free eating with such a hefty discount! This place is a foodie's heaven. Highly recommend! read more

Eloise is probably my favorite watering hole in El Paso and . . . well, pretty much anywhere else. The warm interior invites you to stay, have a few drinks and some coffee, and maybe have some food. I primarily go to Eloise for the drinks and coffee. They always have a nice selection of beers and a good selection of their own signature mixed drinks. Pricing is quite reasonable, and I've never had to spend a ton of money at Eloise to have an enjoyable evening. The entire establishment is perfect for whatever evening you're planning. Want to meet with friends here for a night on the town? No problem. Want to settle in, have a couple of drinks and some food? They've got that covered as well. Just want to find a little corner for yourself and take out a book and sip coffee all evening? You can do that, too. No one will bother you except to ask if you'd like anything else every now and then, which I like quite a bit. I've primarily had the cheese and meat platters with my drinks. You get a nice little selection of nosh to have with your beverage, so if you're not looking for a full-blown meal, I suggest opting for a platter and splitting it with a pal or two. I've also had a couple of their sandwiches and enjoyed them, though I primarily come to Eloise for coffee and drinks. The staff are quite friendly and helpful, but sometimes they kind of get a bit mixed up if you're running a tab. Sometimes it takes them a few minutes to find your credit card and print out your receipt, which can be a bit of a hassle, but it's nothing too serious. Friday and Saturday evenings can be quite crowded, so try to come a bit early and find a seating area for yourself if you can. I like to arrive around 5 in the afternoon when a handful of people are scattered about. Oh, and if you need some terrific early morning coffee, they're open early! Much better than hitting up Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts for your pre-work/school coffee fix! I think the only drawback I have is one that may not be too popular with some folks, but I have to say it. I've been frequenting Eloise since it opened, and I loved it when the establishment would cater to an adult audience. However, now it's not unusual for people to bring in children, and sometimes whining and screaming children can really kill the atmosphere of the place, especially if you're trying to have a conversation with someone. I don't know if Eloise is required to allow children, but I kind of miss the days when only people of legal drinking age and up would spend time here. Still, Eloise is my favorite place to kick back, have some drinks, some damned good coffee, and some nice nosh. It really fills a niche that El Paso desperately needed: an establishment for adults that's not some sleazy dive, an insane sports bar, or silly nightclub with pumping techno music. I'd love to see more places like Eloise in El Paso, but until that happens, I'll be happily enjoying my coffee or drinks in the warm, softly lit interior of Eloise. read more

There are very few places in El Paso that deserve five stars, and this is one of them. I give so much credit to them for what they have created, from the cozy interior vibe, to the amazing drinks, to the truly unbelievable menu. They have managed to bring the creativity and passion for delicious food and drink from the larger cities to right in our backyard. I have been here for drinks (the house-infused liquor is wonderful), beers (impressive selection), lunch (just had the inventive lentil wrap today - amazing!), and dinner (every one of our four entrees was loved). I could not appreciate more the fact that there are SO MANY healthy options to choose from...gone are the days when I have to resort to a salad for EVERY meal. I could eat here every day and be content. I have never been disappointment with any of the selections, and the fact that they have expanded their size and have a lovely outdoor patio just makes Eloise all the better. Congrats to the team who has made this place thrive, and I beg you...do not let us down! The common trap in El Paso is to quickly phase out, and I sincerely hope you are here to stay.
