Best steak house in Denver ! My husband and I went for our anniversary,service and food were top notch . Highly recommended!

Ok here we go. I'm at the airport at 7p to eat before my 11:59p redeye. CapitalOne lounge tells me to F off, they won't let me in at any point. DIA is stupid and has no priority pass lounges. And by the time I'm looking for actual restaurants for food, they're all closing kitchens. at 7:30pm on a Tuesday when flights go out of this airport until 11:59pm. I wandered the entire A and B terminals looking for an open mid level - a restaurant, but not high end. Everyone turned me away or was already closed down. So here I am at Elway's. They don't close the kitchen until 10:30p, and stay open later for drinks. Be prepared for sticker shock. A burger is $25 without a side. Sides are $15. This place is definitely geared to the folks who don't think twice about spending $200 on drinking at the airport while watching a sports ball. I'm not the target demographic but I'm still able to eat a hot meal. Service was fine but they placed me in front of a TV next to the kitchen and employees and diners a like have been staring past my head the whole time. We just had one of the best gourmet burgers, hands down! I had the mushroom burger and my husband had the Colorado burger. They use premium beef and they know how to cook it! It was very juicy. You will need extra napkins to eat it! We shared the house salad. Also excellent! Fantastic service by our server Jenn. She gave great recommendations and had a third sense about being available when we needed something. We finished with the key lime pie! Dang, that was amazing too! When we left the restaurant to go to our gate, my husband remarked that he forgot he was in an airport. If you want the best burger, in or out of Denver airport, go to Elway's. Not expecting actual fine food in an airport but here it is. Right up there with Ruth Chris or Capital Grill. Maybe not quite the same service or decor, but the food was outstanding. We had the Steak Tacos - totally flavorful and tender. Next the house salad, very good. Next the Short Ribs! Tender and flavorful and as think as a steak. Finished with Key Lime pie that they make onsite. Fantastic. If you have the time it's worth the stop. read more

Overall excellent experience. Staff was great, very welcoming, and the food was delicious. My salad was super on point, the short rib went crazy, and the staff did an amazing job. My server did a wonderful job and definitely won me over to come back. If you're looking for a good meal before your flight Elway's is the place to go. read more

At terminal B at Denver airport. I had the calamari, little ears of corn and green olives. All beer battered. It was very good. Never had any of those things deep fried in beer batter. Becoming a A regular stop while in DEN. Last time I got the Chinese chicken salad to go. This time I had 3 hours to kill so I got a Dirty martini and the steak salad and ate at the bar. I requested half romaine lettuce and half arugula versus all arugula. And the steak I ordered medium rare. First version, the steak came out overdone. The chef came out and apologized. Second version was perfect. I liked it a lot - it was excellent - but the chicken salad is lighter which I prefer when flying. Definitely recommend this place and I will return. read more

Elway's is a well-known restaurant in Colorado for fine-dining. After being delayed at Denver International Airport, I decided to try it out for the first time. Why not? Located conveniently right next to the escalators off the train, my first impression was that it looked nice and similar to many nicer restaurants I've been to. The food itself was ok. I tried to find a better adjective to describe the food but ok was the word that kept popping up on my mind while eating. First off, I wanted some vegetables so looked at the sides and was very surprised to see that both the broccoli and asparagus were $16. Wow. I opted for a side salad which was $6 and tasted like a $6 salad. The salmon was quite expensive at $48 and I thought it was a bit overpriced for what it was. I was not too impressed there. The salmon was cooked well at a medium which was what I asked for but I thought the flavor was a bit bland. Service was awesome. Erin made sure that I never was waiting for anything too long and was very attentive. Thanks Erin! Overall, if you want a nicer meal at the airport and don't mind spending a bit extra, Elway's may not be a bad choice. read more

My server was Rebecca, and she was great. She was attentive and knew how to interact with someone who was Deaf. Most people tend to shy away from me. I lip-read very well, but the Deaf community is diverse. If you have questions, write them down or use your notepad on your smartphone. It's not that difficult. Koodos to her! I recently had the chance to dine at Elway's inside Denver International Airport, and I have to say -- it's a great addition. I've really missed the old Denver ChopHouse that used to be here, but Elway's makes for a solid alternative. The service staff was excellent -- friendly, organized, and very attentive. My steak was phenomenal, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The only thing that left a bit to be desired were the cocktails, which didn't quite match the quality of the food. Overall, though, I really enjoyed the experience and will definitely return. Just keep in mind this is a fine dining option within the airport, so the prices are on the higher side -- but you're getting quality to match. Over priced. Space needs a face lift. Felt like an old school steakhouse with new school prices. Needed a good vacuum. Hostesses were the best part of our experience. Kind and accommodating. We expressed our allergies, and were confident based on our servers feedback, we'd be safe. Then my Caesar salad had some egg in it (doesn't come with it), and my friend got extremely sick when we left (celiac). $27 for a burger with nothing else is for fine dining steakhouses - this felt so far from that. read more

I got the bacon burger, and while it was tasty, the $25 price tag was a shocker; especially since that doesn't include a side.The fries were an additional $10, but they were hot, crispy, and salted. Airport meals can be hit or miss and this was thankfully a hit but I'll likely explore other options the next time I'm in the airport. read more

We were just at the Elways in Cherry Creek last night (absolutely fabulous, ask for Don) so I guess I am a fan of this steakhouse chain! Service was 5/5. Food was 4/5 (of course this is airport food so I wasn't expecting gourmet). Truffle fries & prime dip. Half bottles of Prisoner & Hess. Full bar! If you have time between flights, this is a great choice. My wife had 2 eggs, breakfast potatoes and link sausage. There was three good sized sausage links. For my wife they had a little too much pepper. I thought they were perfectly seasoned myself. I had the eggs benedict and the hollandaise sauce was not only perfect, it was a perfect amount. Super excited to try this place because of the reviews and the service leading up to us going. We had a large group of 12 of us and we had a lot of changes in the restaurant was so incredibly accommodating the service once we got there was fabulous. The wine was excellent. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the quality of the steak. A bit tough to cut through and not terribly tasty. The lobster tail was OK. The wedge salad was wonderful. I ended up having a very small portion of the state because it just wasn't that great unfortunately. The reason this place God three starts as opposed to less is because the service was really top-notch. read more
