4/11/21 - I was in the mood for Menudo, most places serve it only on the weekend. Imagine my excitement to find a place that serves it every day. We went to the Ely's on Tropicana and Eastern. Jorge was a great Waiter, apologies for the 6 month hold up on the review, but I didn't forget about you Jorge. Another thing of mine is "Peach" flavored drinks, and they have Peach flavored Lemonade. Going through the menu, I just have to have a crepe and so I chose the Pineapple and Coconut Crepe with Vanilla Ice Cream. I enjoy Crepes, usually order it with my meal no matter what time we are eating. The Guy (my other half) loves his Patty Melt and Fries. If it is a new place we are trying this is always his first choice of course with extra Mayo. I of course came for the Menudo, Best I have had so far, in fact several days later took my kids to the other Ely's on Green Valley and Sunset, My kids love Menudo like I do. We prefer the flour tortilla's better than the corn ones. The atmosphere is comfortable and the service was great. Bottom line as always, highly recommend the Menudo and Crepes. They do have specials, I believe they were daily specials. So delicious! read more

Seen this Restaurant on TikTok & They Make it look sooo Good! Menudo being one of the "Best" Plates! It was defiantly not what I Expected they serve you nothing but broth than meat & hominy its like if Its counted. The Tortillas break so easy cant even roll them up to enjoy the Menudo. The food is decent, I think it's overpriced because they charge strip prices for a local diner off the strip. The service was good, they served with a smile and the ambiance has the vibe of any local breakfast place. I am more disappointed because they charged $4 for an add on of two sausages and the sausages are really tiny. For an additional $4 I don't expect anything out of this world, but they were no more than about 3 inches long and maybe a little over half an inch in width. I think they need to up their game for their add ons and give us what we expect. read more

The waitress was really sweet and attentive. We were worried when we walked in because there was only one table taken around 8 PM. The food was actually pretty good, the chips were warm and the salsa was homemade. Almost everything on the menu seemed like a good price. Great spot. Just in town for work and came here because it was close by. Great prices and food was really good too. They cooked the eggs perfectly. Over medium. Staff was very friendly which was refreshing, they didn't seem understaffed which is rare right now. Latoya was my server and she was wonderful. I found this place on Facebook people seem to like it. I really liked the pancakes, however, the burger I got was a small patty no choices on how it's cooked didn't look or taste homemade. I just can't stay away from the pozole especially in the cold. However even in the summer I order it. I even ordered on DoorDash or phone orders and pick up. I've been coming since I was pregnant my daughter is about to turn 6 and it's always worth the wait even my daughter loves it and I refer everyone to them. Getting ready to drive out of Vegas and decided to have breakfast 1st. Google breakfast near me the checked Yelp for best one going out direction out of town. This one stood out. Now is definitely a questionable neighborhood for sure. Lots of vagrants and even got approached for spare change. But you will forget all that as soon as you enter the door of Ely's. Very attractive to seat you and fast to get you drinks. BTW, great coffee. And yes they come back and fill it without asking. Now the menu is a little overwhelming. 4 large pages of some of the most impressive meals for breakfast I've ever seen. I went for the New York Ham Steak & eggs. On a very hot skillet with diced potatoes , green & red grilled bell pepper & onions. Incredible amount of excellent food. Then it came with a plate of pancakes. ( or whatever bread you like). For sure be hungry if you come here. For the quality of service. The perfectly cooked food without waiting and the large size of food the gine their customers. This is a eazy 5 star place. read more

The corn tortillas are probably the cheapest brand. They are not home made. I also ordered horchata and it tasted nothing like it. Please check ur receipts when paying, prices on the menu are slightly different than when they bring you the bill. Horchata on the menu was priced at $3.99 but on the bill it said $4.99. STAY AWAY!! Prices were out of control but I needed a good burger place so I gave them a chance. The burger was bad I didn't even finish it. The meat tasted frozen, looked grey, no taste and very dry. Had two burgers and both the same. The fries had cheese on it but tasted was more like velveeta or nacho cheese, horrible. The burgers were over $15 and didn't come with drinks. Also had a sausage breakfast burrito which was ok but had weird potatoes inside instead of hash brown. All this for $55!!!!! Tasty and delicious! Hubby had the Bacon (or Sausage) Skillet. He scarfed it down... no need to ask him if he enjoyed his meal. This place has a casual dining atmosphere, nothing fancy. They serve classic American food, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Great, affordable prices. Our table was well taken care of. Very attentive servers but not overly. They were friendly and nice. Hubby loves wearing his GS Warriors shirts and it always gets attention from sports fans when we go places. Had engaged in a convo with the server who also processed our bill (Lakers fan). I wanted to find a new place to take my wife out to eat. Came across this place. I have to say. Food is delicious! My wife is a big fan of pozole and menudo. Their Friday special of buy one get one free was perfect! I myself had the chorizo omelette with some Oreo pancakes. They were awesome! There is so much on the menu that I wanted to try. Everything looks delicious and can't wait to try their other food. Only reason why I am not giving it a 5* is because the service took FOREVER!! You have to wait to be seated and it took the lady about 5 minutes to even notice us. Once she seated us, she took our drink order and brought them right out. She said she'll give us time to look over the menu and be back to take our order. Problem is, she never returned! My wife and I sat there for nearly 20 mins looking over to her waiting to see if she would see us to come over. But she just kept serving other tables, ignoring us. I was actually getting upset and about to just walk out when a gentleman walked by and asked if I've been served yet. I said we had been waiting for a long time to just make our order. He immediately took our order and I swear we had our food within about 5-10 mins! I don't know if they are under staffed or just a bit disorganized, but they need to work on being a bit more attentive I would say. The place itself is actually really nice. Felt cozy and it's a clean place to eat. I can definitely see myself returning here and bringing other to try it out. I've been here 3-4 times since the opened, each and every experience has been pleasant. Today we went for breakfast/ a Saturday we didn't expect it to be too busy but it was packed! We were greeted with a smile as we entered and were promptly Seated. Had our drinks within 2-3 minutes of sitting. Our server was named Christian and he was very efficient friendly and attentive. Turns out he is the manager too. The restaurant was very clean, cool and comfortable. My observations were that the staff adhere to clean, safe food handling standards which I very much appreciated. Our breakfast for 2 was just short of $30 which is about standard these days I enjoyed my experience at Ely's and I very much appreciate Christian. See you again soon read more
