What looks like free parking in the self-parking area actually isn't. There's a sign that says you have to pay for parking with a QR code. Parking is only free for 30 minutes. I called the hotel to inquire about parking and they didn't answer. After walking to the front desk, we were told that valet is validated at the speakeasy. I'm not a fan of valet, but I'll take free valet service (minus the tip) over paying more for self parking. Now, let's get to the good stuff. As the self-appointed king of speakeasies, I'm back with another one. Ambiance: (4.5/5): I won't give all of the clues away, but walk to the third floor, look for a book shelf, and you're on the right track. Once you get inside, you'll find an intimate speakeasy. We're talking seating for 12 or so people or so, tops. I imagine getting a seat on a weekend is quite tough, so take that into account and make a reservation. When you do, you'll find out that there's a $25 cancellation fee per person if you cancel within 24 hours of your reservation. I understand that no shows negatively impact restaurants/bars, but I absolutely hate when the cost of doing business is passed off on customers. I'm reliable, but if I'm going with someone else, and they cancel, now I'm in a tough spot. Anyways, I loved the ambiance at The Madam. Think dark wood, sophistication, and some cowboy vibes. The seating was comfortable, too. Service (4.5/5): Minus the parking snafu, our bartender did an absolute awesome job taking care of us. She was friendly and attentive throughout. I went with the one with green chartreuse, which is always a treat. But, when I'm at a speakeasy, I'm hoping that at least half of the selection intrigues me.
