That wasn't the first time they messed up the delivery when I ordered directly. Another time they were 30 minutes late and when I called to ask what happened, they said the delivery guy hadn't picked up the pizza. Ordering through Seamless would be best with this place.

There is a kiosk machine where you can order. You can also place an order with the lady behind the bar. There is only one person handling the bar, taking orders and serving the food. When you initially come in to the restaurant you sort of feel lost because there is no communication as to where to sit or if someone will come to take your order. Initially I just sat at the table thinking a staff member will come take our order but I was wrong. QR code menus are placed at each table but then you either have to get up and go to the kiosk machine or interrupt the lady behind the bar to place an order. My coworker loves their chili and gets it every few weeks. They give a huge portion of chili over rice with the usual accoutrements. I also got my favorite diner dessert a Linzer tart and it was as good a Linzer as I have had in a long time. Plenty of raspberry jam and the cookie had the perfect texture. If they bake these in house I salute them.

Valentino's is a solid neighborhood pizzeria and definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. The first thing that stood out to me was the sauce: it's very savory and flavorful, which really gives their pizza a nice taste. They also have some great other things on the menu, and I highly recommend the zucchini sticks. Those were excellent and a must-try. As for the pizza itself, my preferences are a little different from how they prepare it. I personally like my slices a bit crispier, with a little more crunch on the bottom. That's just a matter of taste and not a knock on the quality. I also tried adding onions, and I probably wouldn't do that again. They use sliced red onions, which isn't really my thing. I tend to prefer onions that are diced and lightly sprinkled across the pie rather than larger slices on top. Overall, though, this is a very good local pizzeria with tasty sauce, great appetizers, and the kind of place that's easy to come back to when you're craving a good neighborhood slice.
