We came here for lunch on a Sunday day trip to Bainbridge Island. This place only had outdoor seating, but luckily we were able to pick a table that stayed cool in the shade. Emmy's had a variety of vegan noodles or rice dishes or salads to choose from, and the owner was super nice and patient in explaining the different ingredients that went into each dish. I'm not a huge fan of rice nor vegan meat, so the owner recommended me to get the ginger tofu with extra vegetables instead of rice. It turned out to be the perfect meal that I needed at that moment - the ginger sauce went well with the lightly sauteed broccoli and cabbage, and the tofu was slightly crispy and delicious.

DELICIOUS. Flavorful. Fresh. Light. Great out door seating. A gem to dine at. Highly recommend

My family and I dined here on New Years Eve. We appreciated the outdoor seating and its location near the heart of Bainbridge main street. The menu is extensive and ALL vegan! Many of the dishes are made with vital wheat gluten which is the main ingredient in seitan. The food took about an hour to cook since there were so many people ordering. We took advantage of that time to walk around some of the shops nearby. Once our food was ready, we enjoyed everything we were served. They served us some tasty dishes and the texture of the "meat" was spot on! Seating is strictly outdoors so plan accordingly. Also, plan to wait as it is a small kitchen with only one or two cooks at any given time.

Dear Craig, If you head to Bainbridge, your hungry and your hungry ice is vegan then this is the place to go! I couldn't believe the food was vegan. Flavors were great. I really liked the chicken kabob with fried rice. Eggplant was fresh and aldente. Give it a try for sure.

Curry noodles were great! I was surprised this place was vegan but had so many meat alternatives.

Ordered #36 and #19 the food is too salty not even edible. Returned the food after one bite. Cook and server didn't say anything. Not even offered refund or just a free drinks. Spent $40 for nothing.... Don't waste your money

I've never had vegan Asian food before that had meat substitutes for bbq duck, curry chicken, etc. It's cash only, but so affordable and a big meal! I got the bbq duck for $15, and it comes with brown rice and vegetables. The sauce was a bit salty but good overall!

Really great food! I got the curry noodle with kebab. The kebab "meat" was perfect texture and was seasoned well. Great vegan food that hit the spot on a cold, fall day.

Nice vegan find on Bainbridge island. It's an outdoor stand with some seating for guests. Fully vegan, and offers great tasting menu and affordable. It's a husband and wife team, from central Vietnam and always had a smile on their faces while greeting guests and taking orders. We got the #5 chicken kabob (texture and taste were right on, could be confused with real chicken), #16 tofu noddle, and #35 beef pickled veggie and rice (rice dishes usually served with brown rice but I asked for white rice instead since I like my white jasmine rice). They happily switched out for me. We overheard some guests asking are you sure it's vegan? The cook keeps having to response "no meat! No egg! No milk!". It was quite funny people were confused how realistically close the foods tasted.

Cannot decide which we liked more - the curry noodles or the BBQ duck. Recommendation is to get both!

Fill up gas n RUN inside to find Jake's walk-up window to order. His SCONENUTS are a MUST - do not walk out without taking home at least a half-dozen box. All of his baked goods are FIRE but the sconenuts are his signature specialty, so don't leave without giving them a try!!! IF you're lucky, catch a bite when the hot side (grill) is open as EVERYTHING is magical - but my hubby swears by Jake's breakfast pesto aioli sammy. Hubs was so addicted that he would swing by EVERY SATURDAY MORNING AFTER BASKETBALL to indulge in this sammy masterpiece. It became his beloved Saturday ritual! If you're lucky you'll get a chance to meet Jake or his wife as they're usually on property - always approachable and ready to chat, you won't find a more lovely couple! They truly represent that small-town, island vibe and you'll leave feeling like you're not a stranger, but definitely a "friend". IF you missed them and they're closed for the day, they have all their goodies packaged and stocked in the grab-n-go fridge next to the cash register. But be warned - inventory is limited as Jakes' place is a primo spot for the best yummies! Ruuuunnnn to Jakes! (And tell him MALIA sent ya!)

We ordered their seaweed caesar salad, albacore crudo, cauliflower, clams and mussels, and salmon succotash. Food was fine, not amazing. Our favorite dish was the clams and mussels which were cooked perfectly, and the broth was delicious. That being said, value just wasn't there in my opinion. The albacore crudo was $23, and it was a tiny little bowl with cubes of albacore. The caesar salad was $17. The clams and mussels were $27, and there was probably a total of 15 clams and mussels in the entire dish. The salmon was $36 and was the size of my palm. Seabird also charges a 5% service charge on the total bill that is separate to gratuity/tip. Service was friendly. Overall, it's a cute spot for a night out, but I'm not sure I'd come back.
