My travel buddy and I had some snacks late in the afternoon during happy hour and wound up not being hungry again until almost 9 pm but this spot was close to our hotel, had great Yelp reviews, and was still open so we decided to check it out. We were seated quickly and the service was attentive. Not sure what it's like when it's peak dinner time, but our waiter checked on us often, kept our water full, and made sure we were good on drinks. Our food came out super fast. The burger was good and cooked appropriately. You should definitely take advantage of their dipping sauces, though - I think that's what sets this spot apart. An absolutely terrible experience. We ordered delivery through a third-party service. All of the food was cold and all of the sides were missing - so no buffalo sauce for buffalo wings, no ketchup. The salad had spilled all over the inside of the bag so it was inedible and the salad dressing (parmesan peppercorn) smelled rancid. We called the restaurant to explain the situation and rudely informed us that not getting the sides was the driver's fault and we'd have to call the delivery service. We questioned them since it we had never heard of a DELIVERY DRIVER putting buffalo sauce inside a container of wings and were again told it was the driver's fault and they couldn't do anything about it. After calling the delivery service, sending through photos of the salad spilled all over the bag, and explaining how we had no sides and the food was ice cold, we were told it's up to the restaurant to fix the issue. Terrible to Excellent: Locals recommended this place to us and this was our second time around as tourists, brought the family to try their buffalo burgers and the experience certainly started terrible. The manager and staff were rude since the moment they saw a big family with 2 babies on strollers. They do not allow the strollers even if your baby is sleeping. Once inside the way we were treated was so rude, there was an employee yelling at us in English and Spanish while walking away and we couldn't hear what he was saying.... until Dan the server came to take care of us. Ask for him, he is the reason why this is not a 0 star review. He was amazing, friendly and turned the whole experience around and recommended the best margarita... Last weekend in january - saturday at 6pm. The town was paaacked. We walk in expecting to be told there was a 2 hour wait. The guy at the door was super friendly and told us he get us seated in 20 min. We walked to the bar. Bartender (girl with long black hair) was awesome. It was actually fascinating watching her work - handling several take out orders, a full bar and her drinks were incredible. We were seated at the large communal table, which normally wouldn't please me but chairs were far away enough that you didnt feel uncomfortable to be sharing a table with strangers. I cant remember our server's name, but I will risk being politically incorrect in order to give him credit: he was average height, looked to be in his mid 20s and buzzed curly hair. He was also a pro, handling like 2 dozen guests and not dropping the ball at all. Plus he was really nice. We got a few apps and burgers - it was delicious! Cooked perfectly. Just visiting the area; haven't had the time to try every burger place in town, but over my lifetime of burger-eating I can safely state that these are some excellent burgers! A flavorful and juicy patty, with good quality bread is all you need in a classic burger, and they provide that along with the usual condiments you would expect to find. They take it one step further by offering a variety of sauces, all of which sounded fantastic! I went with Jalapeño ketchup and I imagine the rest are just as satisfying. Ever since my first time going here 5 years ago, it has become a staple when I'm in town. And now that I live about an hour away (instead of 2+) it's even more-so a staple! Everyone I have taken here has always loved their food. Sometimes I've had a wait but usually they're pretty quick at getting people served so you normally don't have a huge wait. Which is a huge plus (on top of the delicious burgers, of course!) My go-to (I'm a person who finds something I love and sticks to it) is the green chile cheeseburger. Really solid spot for beers and food. I've been here a few times now and funny enough, never had a burger, but I can vouch for the wings. Usually I come in for drinks and apps because that's usually what I do when I'm in Breckenridge. They batter and fry the wings which makes them really unique and top end. Was looking for somewhere to eat later at night in Breckenridge, running into most places being closed we finally found Empire Burger. The vibe was pretty chill when we walked in, we sat at the high top community table - unfortunately my boyfriend and I are pretty short and the table was taller than us making it hard to sit and eat at. The waitress wasn't that friendly - she had it written all over her face that she was irritated and not really in the mood to serve us. Lots of other wait staff were also just sitting around not doing much. We ordered drinks and my boyfriend was really surprised only three beers were on tap. It's a burger bar, but everything is mostly bottled beer or spirits. I had the grapefruit, vodka, rosemary drink and it was fabulous. We ordered the wedge salad - which I love! It wasn't too strong and pungent like blue cheese tends to be, it was very mild and had shoestring potatoes on it - so good. I know wedge's are supposed to come wedge like, but since we were so short tackling the job of cutting and tossing the salad was a minor feat. We also had an order of onion rings with the mexican ketchup. The onion ring batter was much different than what you'd expect - I can't really pin point what kind of batter it was like. The ketchup was also interesting - I'm one to love dipping sauces, but this ketchup with some sort of tomatillo sauce wasn't that good - definitely left something to be desired. Finally, the burgers. I'm typically not a burger person in fact I'll mostly steer clear of beef, but when in Rome..I ordered the mushroom swiss and it was ahmazing! The beef had the best taste, not beefy at all super smooth. Loved the mushroom swiss as well. My boyfriend ordered the bacon guac burger - his was much more messy than mine and a lot harder to eat. I think he mostly enjoyed it, but didn't finish it - he said it was too hard to eat. I think our struggle with the table was a big part of our problem. The guac bacon burger is A ONE. The guac is extremely fresh and this place does not skimp out on the guac.. It is in every bite you take.
