I had a blast at this escape room. First off the location was perfect. It's on the very top floor of this building that gives off this old castle vibe. But there's a very cute open space to relax on the roof top while you wait for your room to be ready. Perfect if you are traveling with a big party. I thought the decorations were great and the rooms were well put together. I will admit we didn't escape lol. But as a first timer this wasn't disheartening. If anything I want to come back and try again and give their other rooms a go! I had so much fun and the more people you have involved the better. I've done 3 rooms here and they were overall pretty good. I've done The Enchanted Forest, Spellbound, and Genie Ransom. I'd recommend the rooms more for beginners rather than for more experienced players. My favorite of the three rooms I've done is The Enchanted Forest, I think the look and feel of the room is the most fun out of the 3. Genie Ransom was good however my biggest complaint is that it's right next to the lobby and we could hear the staff and other groups coming in and talking/laughing which was a little distracting/frustrating. As a first time escape room player I went in completely unaware of the types of puzzles to expect. The puzzles were challenging and engaging which resulted in an extremely enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend this escape room and I will be back for another challenge. The owners did an amazing job informing the group and myself about the rules and how to play the game. After being left to find our way out of the "TAVERN", one of the new rooms. All the electronics worked and we used the on screen clues successfully. This was the first Escape Room for me and my hubby. We chose the Genie room. It was an amazing experience! Going up to the escape rooms and lobby feels neat and mysterious, like an adventure itself! The owner is very kind and friendly. The puzzles are clever and the clues are fantastic and really specific to your particular situation. I really liked the room, there were a lot of details from floor to ceiling, some even to make you smile. It also makes it more fun and challenging choosing what is relevant to solve the puzzles! My 12 year old daughter and her friends had a wonderful time - so did we, her parents, though we tried to hang back and let the girls get us out. The game master had the perfect balance of letting them figure out the clues but eventually helping them here and there so that they could be successful. This is my fifth escape room and so far the least invested one I have experienced. The clues did not seem to follow any reasobable sequence and the decor was quite in the low end. The walls are so thin you can hear everything around the room. There was someone right outside our room and the loud conversation was really distracting. We did the Genie Ransom room, The story line was trying to be clever but the clues at times did not make sence and were mainly closed boxes with diffetent locks and Keyes. read more

DO NOT COME HERE. My boyfriend and I were excited to try a new location since we had completed Architect escape room in reseda and had great experiences with all 4 mazes. Our host was not welcoming at all, it was an awkward interaction. The room itself looked decent but a few things did look worn out. She told us we were only able to have 2 clues which were written on a piece of paper. The clues were hard to understand due to them being poorly written and very vague. There was a puzzle we completed and "unlocked" something but it was not obvious what it was that was unlocked. We never figured that out. We weren't able to escape and when our host came to open the door all she said was "You had 2 puzzles left to escape, the exit is here to your left" and just pointed to the exit. Came a few weeks ago and I have to say it was the most fun me and my friend had in a while. Went in the Enchanted Forest and our host Jada was so sweet and funny she kept cracking jokes with us while we were waiting. Had such a great time and can't wait to come back. Our group has done a lot of escape rooms and this is definitely the worst experience we had. We did spellbound here. First off to get to our room, we went through a dusty, sketchy attic. Then in the room, it was like over 100 degrees. By the time we finished we were all sweaty and over-heating. Two of our clues were not in the right spot, we had to do a lot of guess work. One of the two clues was essential to the last couple of puzzles. It would not have been that bad if they had a clue system where it was guided. Their clue system was 8 lockers for this room and you get 6 keys, but they are vague and could be completely unrelated to where you are stuck. At one point there was one specific puzzle where I was having issues and I used the hint and it did not help at all. We ended up passing, but were soon annoyed that our "game master" could not find one of the clues since it was in the wrong location. While we were in the escape room, we could hear yelling and talking from another room which was also distracting. It was $37 per person for us. Unfortunately it was not worth it and will not be returning. read more

My friends and I deicide to an escape room and booked it for the night. We drove about 1:30 min away and all I can say it was worth. When we first got there, we forgot about the code thing and we're confused but then remember. The staff was super friendly!!! Especially as the next day we decided to do another escape room down the street and staff was horrible. We are all 18 so doing one call " spellbound" was kinda lame in our minds at first but it was favorited out of all we done!!! I especially love how it's kinda Harry Potter theme lol. This place was amazing! It was the first activity my fam and I have done since quarantine started and it was as safe and comfortable as we were hoping for! Went here shortly after they opened. Their location is perfect on the top floor of a Victorian looking building. I think the space used to be the attic as it has a pitched roof make it difficult to use as an office but perfect for an escape room. The owners, a cool young couple, were friendly and fun. We just did the Enchanted Forest room, and it really challenged us! The room was beautiful and you can tell that they put in a lot of work into building the room and crafting the puzzles. Thankfully there were very thoughtful clues provided, because otherwise we would have never made it out in time (had less than 1.5 minutes to spare). There were things that you would never expect to happen, and we were constantly on our toes the entire time. The owners were very nice also, which made our experience so much more enjoyable! read more

We have officially done all of the rooms here and have a had an awesome experience! The Woodleys are lovely people, and you can tell they put a lot of work and thought into the puzzles. The mechanics are interesting and different than a lot of the commercial and chain escape rooms in LA, with a more down to earth feel overall. Highly recommended. Once in a while there are Groupons/coupons, which is how we first heard about this place. Going rate is $30/person, with space for 6-8 people depending on the room. Parking is tight in the small plaza but usually available, and is free. read more
