Good place, but no Saturday lunch menu is pretty ridiculous. Plenty other places that have one.

Order the Mexican Combo and the tamales tasted exactly like the canned Hormel tamales. The beef tacos were mixed with bell peppers (?) and chunks of onions. The rice had peas in it. The chili topping for the tamales looked like chili dog topping, super salty. The salsa for the chips tasted like canned tomato chunks or Rotel. It was sweet rather than hot or spicy. The fajitas were killed with onions and only had a tiny bit of red peppers. The beef is also salty. The tortillas tasted store bought. There is no green chili or red chili option not even green salsa This place was disappointing if this is what passes for Mexican food Dallas can keep it. I'm only giving this place three stars because of the service and the food. I recently dined in and when I walked in to the restaurant there was no hostess at the door and when she finally came out I had asked her if we could sit in the inside where it was a little bit cooler she had a rude response to no you can't I have a friend with me and I thought it was embarrassing that she can let us sit inside we then went out to another area at the restaurant that was very very hot. They did have fans blowing but it still was not enough to keep it cool where we were sitting. Are waiter came out and I'm not sure that they knew what to do. The waiter did not speak very good English and was very confused at our menu items. I got some kind of enchilada with avocados in it that tasted a little bit off. The rice and beans were good and the chips want overly salty like some places have them. Later after we ate are waiter came to take our payment I don't think he understood how to do the bill he didn't know how to figure in the tip for his service. He was a nice guy but I don't think he understood what was going on I don't know if he was new or is he just did not know how to do his job. read more

Tex-Mex done right. No need to hate on the crossbred border food known as Tex-Mex; it is a whole new food category - and Enchilada's nails it! Seated quickly at the height of lunch-rush; we got our drinks and appetizers quickly. The queso is spicy, the chips are light and dry (perfect), and the queso is excellent. The queso cheese is halfway between white and yellow, as befits a TexMex cafe. Entrees were filling and tasty; even the lunch specials were plenty for both of these grown men! In fact; I wanted to try the Key Lime Pie for dessert (because it is unusual in a TexMex joint), but I was TOO FULL FOR DESSERT! Good stuff! read more

Most importantly, the brisket enchiladas and brisket tacos were always the safest bet. Ever have a juicy, stringy, tender brisket. Not that raggedy skirt steak, but brisket? Something usually covered in BBQ sauce, but never needed it? That kind of meat is what you get here. Now imagine that, in a hard taco shell or a soft tortilla covered in delicious queso with beans and rice! I don't even eat meat, or crave meat, but I remember that like it was yesterday. Unlike any other. Don't forget - the Rocks Margs are boss. I had "The Big E" for the first time last week and it was very very good! Takes 2 to order, but if you can, do it! I have been coming here for decades and always have enjoyed it. The parking is not that great, but the food is always delicious. Even when the parking lot is full, there doesn't seem to be a wait when I've been. I had carne asada and margaritas. The steak was tender and juicy. Ended up finding Enchiladas, decided to try it, and we are so glad we did! Ordered chips & queso, Hubby got the beef enchiladas, and I tried the fajita chimichanga. He loved his enchiladas. The queso was really good along with the free salsa. My chimichanga was also really good. It had queso on it and everything was flavorful. The fajita beef was delicious and tender. The only thing going for this place at the moment is the great service and alcohol they provide but other than that the food was pretty mid. I tried their enchiladas since they're known for them. The sauce on top was literally watered down and made my tortilla of my enchilada wet and falling apart before I even put my fork in. This restaurant went from a place I'd recommend to everyone to now being a place I'd never return. Started off by not being greeted by anyone until 5 minutes later someone who works in the back had to give us a seat. He was very polite and tried to get us a waiter/waitress. She came about 7-8 minutes later and placed our drink orders, another 5-7 minutes pass and we get our drinks (it was just water). We then placed our food order which was 2 entrees and a cup of queso. We got our queso but it was so cold and watery. When our food came about 15 minutes later it all looked good but my wife's brisket tacos were so dry and unseasoned. We tried multiple times to flag someone down so that we could return the plate but no one was around to help us and we were left alone for the entire time we were there. Called to make sure seating - quickly answered and assured us no wait. Seated immediately and cold beer and chips within a minute or so. Server - Nico (?) - was spectacular.
