Tex-Mex done right. No need to hate on the crossbred border food known as Tex-Mex; it is a whole new food category - and Enchilada's nails it! Seated quickly at the height of lunch-rush; we got our drinks and appetizers quickly. The queso is spicy, the chips are light and dry (perfect), and the queso is excellent. The queso cheese is halfway between white and yellow, as befits a TexMex cafe. Entrees were filling and tasty; even the lunch specials were plenty for both of these grown men! In fact; I wanted to try the Key Lime Pie for dessert (because it is unusual in a TexMex joint), but I was TOO FULL FOR DESSERT! Good stuff! read more

Enchilada's, oh Enchilada's. I have so many great memories here. Be it Dinners with my old boss, Jell-O Shots on New Year's Eve 2006 or many a date night... Enchilada's was always a safe bet. Most importantly, the brisket enchiladas and brisket tacos were always the safest bet. Ever have a juicy, stringy, tender brisket. Not that raggedy skirt steak, but brisket? Something usually covered in BBQ sauce, but never needed it? That kind of meat is what you get here. Now imagine that, in a hard taco shell or a soft tortilla covered in delicious queso with beans and rice! I don't even eat meat, or crave meat, but I remember that like it was yesterday. Unlike any other. Don't forget - the Rocks Margs are boss. I had "The Big E" for the first time last week and it was very very good! Takes 2 to order, but if you can, do it! I have been coming here for decades and always have enjoyed it. The parking is not that great, but the food is always delicious. Even when the parking lot is full, there doesn't seem to be a wait when I've been. I had carne asada and margaritas. The steak was tender and juicy. The only thing going for this place at the moment is the great service and alcohol they provide but other than that the food was pretty mid. I tried their enchiladas since they're known for them. The sauce on top was literally watered down and made my tortilla of my enchilada wet and falling apart before I even put my fork in. Waited too late to think about dinner the night after it snowed (that one day a year) and was trying to find anyone who was delivering(we gave a great tip). Ended up finding Enchiladas, decided to try it, and we are so glad we did! Ordered chips & queso, Hubby got the beef enchiladas, and I tried the fajita chimichanga. He loved his enchiladas. The queso was really good along with the free salsa. My chimichanga was also really good. It had queso on it and everything was flavorful. The fajita beef was delicious and tender. I even liked the rice and beans. My picture isn't the best, but I promise it was so good. We absolutely plan to visit the actual restaurant to try them again! read more

Surprisingly good Tex-Mex. Everyone enjoyed their food. Brisket enchiladas were on point. Carne Asada was a juicy, thicker cut of skirt steak (I presume). I was happy they asked me how I wanted it cooked. Many places just serve thin, overcooked cuts of grilled meat. Margaritas have great balance and are not cloyingly sweet. read more

I've lived in Dallas for about 3 years and Enchilada's is by far the best Tex-Mex I've had. Seriously the best chimichanga I've had in my entire life and it was huge! The tortilla wasn't overly bready like other places I've tried and it was stuffed with loads of meat and cheese. My wife had flautas and enchiladas in a wide variety of styles, all were delicious. They also make a powerful margarita too and have a happy hour between 3-6pm. The server we had, Rafael, was incredibly friendly and made our visit extremely enjoyable. They far exceeded my hopes. They were so professional, accommodating and supportive. The food and drinks were terrific.
