We came here during The Covid shut down and the food was good. Last month we ordered for take out and the hibachi and rolls did not disappoint. Tonight we came in without a reservation and they were able to accommodate us and sat us within 5 minutes. Madison was our server and she was friendly, attentive, patient and very accommodating to us and the others being served at the grill. Visited Encore Teppan for my partner's birthday. We've never had teppanyaki before and other places were too busy so we came here and we're glad we did! When we arrived, we were surprised to see so many tables opened! We were seated right away. I forgot our chef's name, but he was great! He was a very happy chef who just made the dinner so fun for all of us. We didn't have anything to compare his performance to, but we very much enjoyed it. He seemed to know that I personally didn't want any sort of attention so he would ask question, toss food, ask for helpers from my partner and the other family sharing the grill with us instead. I'm sad I didn't catch his name, he was great! Our waitress, Alyson, was good too. The food was also super good and very plentiful. I came here after being given a gift card to this place. I wanted to check it out and see what it was about. They serve a wide variety of menu items ranging from sushi and hibachi food. I ordered the sushi tray set 4 from this location and I also ordered chicken fried rice. When I got there to pick it up, neither were ready. It actually took them over an hour and 20 minutes for my food to get to me. I did put in the order 4 hours in advance so I was pretty frustrated. However, the staff handled it really well. They apologized profusely and they offered an additional free entree and a gift card for the inconvenience caused. The actual food itself was amazing. I loved the fried rice and the sushi was high quality and delicious. I loved the different combinations that came with the sushi platter. I love encore. I have been coming here religiously for 4-5 years. I never wrote a review and realized I probably should because it is my top 3 favorite restaurants. The food portions are great, the food is delicious and fast and it's fun for the family. This visit our server was Alison and she was very attentive and polite. She constantly refilled the drinks we never had to ask and all of our order (large party) came out right. Our chef, Carlos, was fantastic and everything was cooked great. I will say sometimes the chef is hit or miss here but Carlos was 10/10. I will continue to come here and hope they last a while here because I love the food. My only critique is you guys gotta get a better AC unit. It gets pretty hot in there so if it's like that for the guest I can only imagine for the poor chefs. Cheers! read more

I came for their fried rice eating contest. Rice is something new for me in a contest. I've never been to a Tepan style restaurant and I was very impressed with the talent of the chefs. All the employees were awesome and hosted a wonderful event. I didn't do to well only eating 6 bowls of rice. The food the other diners were eating looked delicious. I was craving sushi so I was looking for somewhere to go. I saw that Encore Teppan sold sushi rolls. I was out going grocery shopping so I gave them a call to try to place a phone order, but they told me they don't do phone orders. You can only order through the app. While I am able to use the app no problem, this is not very user-friendly for people who aren't as technology savvy. *Warning - The App isn't very Good!!! Here's why: 1. The App menu does not match Yelp. The prices are also different. 2. The app did not tell us how long the wait time would be. You just kind of wait for the updates on the app to tell you when the order will be ready for pick up. This is very helpful if you're someone trying to get an order by a certain time. However, with the hiccups from the app, my mom liked her spider roll ($6.40) and I thought the California roll was pretty good, especially for $5! I wish there was cucumber in it though. Now that we know the nuances of ordering with them, we will probably go back again, since my mom liked the sushi. But they should consider other options for ordering, especially for people who aren't tech savvy. read more

Solid 4 stars... I grew up going to teppanyaki for special occasions and loving it!! Back then it was the original Benihana in Taipei also known as the "Red Flower." Who's who all wanted to be seen here in the 70's and 80's. If you were a celebrity or a successful businessman then this is place to be. It was beyond 5 stars. Then when we as a family moved to the US in the early 80's we found out Benihana was a chain of teppanyaki that was 3.5 stars at best. So call me a skeptic for teppanyaki. Then there's Encore Teppan. Thanks to my fellow Yelpers I got intrigued with this place. So I bit the bullet and went with this option for Father's Day. My wife and I went with four items: Filet Mignon, NY steak, chicken and shrimps. The kids all went with kids meals, primarily NY Steak and California Roll. The food quality, the value, and the performance were definitely 4-star plus caliber as well as the architecture and the interior design. The service and the enthusiasm were lacking for it to be a five star establishment BUT it definitely has potential with a little more training. One great aspect about this place is that it has an APP. Be sure to sign up for $15 credit to your account. This is a good sign for great things to come. Will be back for sure!! Took my son here for his birthday. The entire experience was Amazing!! From the restaurant itself, with its beautiful granite counters, to the bartender, who was very knowledgeable about both food And drinks, to the chef, Juan, who really made our day special. I can't say enough good things about this place. There were 5 of us. We sat at the grill. Dining room seating is also available. One of us got sushi, I got a meal from the kitchen, and 3 of us got food cooked at the table. We all loved our food! I got the shrimp lunch with white rice, mixed veggies, salad with edamame for an appetizer, which was the best I've ever had. Juan was absolutely fabulous, he was very entertaining with jokes and smiles. He even juggled fire! I've attached some pics. They brought out ice cream for the birthday. They have a membership to earn points and make dining less expensive, it is free. I signed up, I know I will be back. It's 20 minutes from my home, but totally worth the drive.
