I got the almond milk vanilla latte and it was excellent. Same for the ham and cheese croissant. This place was packed though. I only feel bad that only one barista was working! She was very fast but there were so many people it was hard for her to keep up. I hope management hires her a teammate to help! The salted vanilla latte has been a personal favorite for a few months now. This cute place is walking distance from my job and I have stop myself from going every day! I love the esthetic of this pocket coffee shop. I love the black and white and the starkness. It's too small to utilize as a meeting or workspace - at least for me. The carefully curated selection of pastries are displayed in a small case like jewels - and both things I've tried are quite good... the chocolate croissant and the blueberry muffin. I just like standard boring coffee but they offer sizes, which some overly hip places refuse to do. Service is friendly. And true to their minimalist approach, they have a cold case with some small salads/lunch type options. It's too limited to be a regular stop for me, but if I need coffee and a muffin (that blueberry was really quite something), I'll stop in again as it's right in my neighborhood and much easier than dealing with Starbucks madness at 7:30 am. read more

They don't have prices on display anywhere in the shop which is disrespectful to customers. when they serve you an over priced coffee they don't give you a napkin or a stirrer, you have to ask for it and then they hand you one napkin, so you are getting unsanitary napkin. Coffe is good, the baristas do a good job but considering how much they charge they should at least serve it with respect and give you proper napkins, or have napkins that you can take by yourself. I hope they change something because this is plain arrogance. As my quarantine in West LA came to an end, I stopped by this place to get some much needed morning coffee. A random find on Yelp, I'm actually glad I picked this place. This small coffee shop sits on Sunset Blvd. Parking is found along the boulevard, or the small streets around it. On the weekday morning that I came here, there were parking spots in abundance, so no problem there. I entered the coffee shop and received a warm greeting from the worker here. I perused their menu, and decided to stick with the basics. I got an iced black coffee and a cinnamon raisin bagel. The coffee was smooth but strong. The bagel was pretty tasty. One of the tastiest cinnamon raisin bagels I've tasted thus far, actually. This is a huge plus to this place. Once I had my order, I went back to my car to enjoy it, then went on my way back home. This is most definitely a good place for coffee in the Sunset strip. I will consider them the next time I find myself in the area. read more

Super cute spot that my boyfriend stopped in at during our weekend stroll. It's a tiny spot with outdoor seating and beyond friendly staff. We both decided on iced matcha lattes and bagels. The kind owner mentioned their in house flavors and offered to let us try the lavender syrup in our lattes at no charge. The flavors were delicious and I especially loved that it wasn't too sweet or overpowering. The bagels were tasty as was the yummy donut we impulse purchase because it looked so good. This is a great neighborhood spot that is worth checking out, their prices are consistent with other coffee spots in the area. read more

This is one of 3 coffee shops in my neighborhood, although it's furthest away so I don't go here as often. I decided to stop in for a latte one morning on a walk. He staff is always so lovely, and personable. The drinks are made quickly and are delicious. BUT, the price and the lack of seating isn't worth waking out of my way at all. $7.50 for an oat milk latte was a shocking price to me. Because there's almost nowhere to even sit. Just 3 tiny tables, the only umbrella is on the side of the building and that table was taken, and it was way too hot to sit in the sun. so I had to just continue walking while I had my coffee. And then I remembered why I usually don't go there. How much would the company actually lose if they made the seating more protected from the sun? I don't get it. The other two shops have nice seating areas, many more seating options, and are mostly out of the sun. I love having coffee with friends and I always have them meet me nearby, but Enigma just isn't the place I would want to go. read more

By far the best coffee I've ever tasted. I was rushing to work and found this small coffee shop and decided to give it a try. I walked in and was greeted by this young man named Mario. He was very helpful, recommending me to the Lover's Addict Coffee which is a caramel salted vanilla latte. He was fast and efficient which is exactly why I came here. The Lover's Addict Coffee will truly make you addicted because I came back the next day even though it was a 25 minute drive. The coffee has a nice balance of sweet and salty, it's perfect. I highly recommend coming here. This is my go to coffee shop now when I'm in the area. Great coffee, excellent customer service, and a great start to my day. read more

I recently found the best coffee in Los Angeles. I was at Enigma Coffee shop around noon time. I was looking to buy some coffee to get my energy level up again. I parked on meter spot in front of the main door of Enigma Coffee. The place was offering free samples of deserts and bakery at that moment. It was amazing experience. Inside the coffee shop I felt great smell of fresh melted coffee beans. I can't get that smell in other stores because machines they using is fully automatic at most of them. I ordered cappuccino and croissant. It was ready in few minutes. The quality of coffee was amazing that I never experienced before. I asked barista how you can reach that taste. He said that they have own coffee roaster and own coffee beans. Also store offer coffee beans for sale. Now Enigma my favorite. Thank you guys! read more

I love this coffee shop. Cute little place located just down the street from my house. It's close...but I wouldn't walk lol. I was here 2 days in a row, just before I had to be downtown for an all day seminar. Enigma's delicious coffee got me through the day. I went with the larger size Cold Brew. Black as always. I was tempted to grab a pastry, but managed to have a little discipline for once. There's not a whole lot of seating inside. In fact, it's not a place where you would go to do your work. It's just too small, and any customers coming in would be too close. It you're ordering to go, then it's a perfect spot for you. The staff are super friendly. It's small enough where there's one staff on shift at a time. The place is very small, and was a bit warm during my visit. Street parking only. If it's early enough, you'll have no issues finding parking on the street at one of the meters. read more

I dropped into Enigma the other day while my street was being cleaned (Tuesdays in Hollywood) and nabbed a spot in the back to park and do some work. The spot is small, quaint, and cozy. The service is also wonderful, personable, and fun. The AC was out so it was super hot inside, but it didn't bother me much. I also grabbed one of the amazingly delicious pastries they have, this wild and crazy Jalapeño and Cream Cheese Croissant which was delicious. It was also amazingly social inside. Due to the fact that it was small and I was doing some work by the cashier, I actually TALKED with people coming in, next to me, and the cashier for a great deal. Random people talking in Hollywood!? Cute, quaint little place in the hustle and bustle of Hollywood. It was a Saturday after 12pm so it wasn't super crowded. There was only one other person in the place, but there is a bunch of seating for the size. There's a little back area and outdoor seating as well. Basic options, coffee, cold brew, a few snack granola bar type options. They use Stumptown for their roasts and cold brew was good. The regular size was $4 for a cold brew and $4.25 for the larger size so pretty might as well get the larger one. The counter girl was nice and friendly and service was quick. There is neighborhood parking for 2 hours but pay attention to the signs because there is street sweeping on certain days and after 6pm I believe you aren't able to park without a permit. There's not a lot of smaller coffee shops in the area so this is a cute little simple place. read more

IM SURE THE ACTUAL PRODUCT IS GREAT!! But; I really wanted this large iced coffee drink called the "Sam", and I only had cash on me and Venmo. They don't accept cash. At least not now. Fine... I have cards, but my wallet is missing. Not their problem. BUT, the barista was straight forward and my Apple Pay was not connected, no cards, don't accept cash or Venmo.... so I was going to ask a customer sitting out in front and I said to the guy what I was gonna do...He said don't do it, that's my boss... "So? Would he get angry if I asked one of those people to buy me a cup of coffee for some cash?" He said yes; so I walked out nicely. Don't you just love when you stumble upon a great coffee shop without expecting to?! That's exactly what happened to me this morning while I was walking my dog! I knew I wanted to get coffee and it seemed like Starbucks was the closest thing to me; until I randomly walked up on enigma coffee. The exterior immediately caught my eye; I thought it was so cute! When I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly employee. She let me know that they make and roast all their coffee in house and then she pointed me in the direction of an Ethiopian blend of single origin. I decided to give that a try. My coffee was ready in about five minutes and it was delicious! I drink my coffee black, and I could taste the different flavors and profile notes in the coffee.
