6 stars for exceeding all of my expectations! Enoteca knows what they are doing and they do it right - consistently. Our stay was from Friday 3/19-3/21. We ate there almost every meal despite having other plans - they knocked it out of the park and we kept coming back for more. Every single staff member at Enoteca made our stay memorable. We had such a welcoming and enjoyable experience we canceled our plans on Friday night and stayed at Enoteca for cocktails, dinner and dessert. The rib eye was a stand out and we offered our compliments to the chef. The soup de jour (potato, leeks, bacon) was delicious and flavorful. The blueberry Crème brûlée- delectable. Blake C. provided top notch service to us on Friday night. Making reservations was a breeze as they were willing to accommodate us even if they had limited time slots. Then on Saturday morning 3/20 we had breakfast and again had wonderful service and food. Daniel B. was our server at breakfast. We met the General Manager and expressed to him how lovely our stay was because of the exceptional service we were receiving in the restaurant - we were also sure to mention how much we had enjoyed our dinner the night before. We came back on Saturday evening for dinner and received the same outstanding service we expected. So refreshing to have such a pleasant, expeditious and delicious experience. Ashley H. was very kind, attentive and even made suggestions on where else we could visit for after dinner drinks. We had such a nice time we decided to stay and enjoyed drinks from the bar. We had so much fun at the hotel that we ran into some staff from the hotel at Tin City and they remembered us and gave us suggestions on where else to visit. Sheila was working the same night we visited - she wasn't our server but we made friends everywhere we went and she recalled seeing us. Knowing that the staff at the hotel enjoyed our company as much as we did theirs made my birthday weekend very fun and enjoyable. read more

Delicious! I only discovered this place because I called the hotel to ask a few questions about the room options and area. Since we were traveling from afar we were quite unfamiliar. She recommended we take a visit to the restaurant during our stay because they were known for their thick cut bacon and potatoes! Was she right!!! Our breakfast was tasty and satisfying! Our group went in for some appetizers. The service was good but the food was not hot, although it tasted okay. It was my friends birthday and the server brought out a really good dessert for my friend, which was a nice touch. They have a good wine selection, a bit pricey but what I would expect for a hotel restaurant. read more

We were a party of 6 on a Wednesday evening. Each of us had a very good dining experience. It was nothing like the sad hotel restaurant scene. In fact, the food was excellent, produce was fresh, cocktails were expertly prepared and presented. Our group had lamb chops, rib eye steak, wedge salad, steamed clams, Brussel sprouts and gellato. We love Enoteca so much that we decided to stay at Hotel Bellasera during our last trip to Paso Robles. The food was delicious as always! We ordered room service three different times during our stay. My steak was juicy and seasoned well, and I loved the whipped potatoes. I also ordered the breakfast sandwich with scrambled eggs and bacon. It was the perfect way to start our morning. The vanilla creme brûlée was also superb. The only downside to ordering room service was the beverages. We paid regular price for two soda and they came in small coffee cups, so we were still thirsty during our meal. I also ordered a coffee that I could have made in our room. That was a little disappointing since we paid menu price, plus 20% service fee, plus a $3.50 room service fee, and we also tipped (it wasn't the server's fault). But overall, we love Enoteca and will definitely return. read more

Filet mignon on November 11 (my birthday)) was so delicious we went back for my sweeties birthday on November 27. Overall experience was still lovely but the steaks were well done (dry and hard to swallow). Both times ordered medium and was perfect on the 11th but not so much on the 27th...at first seemed fine but the longer the meat rested the more well done and drier it became. But they did give him a birthday dessert on the 27th. I did not get one on the 11th. I love this place but the inconsistencies make me think carefully before taking a guest there read more

We were referred to this restaurant from a sommelier at a winery in Tin City. We were staying at the Hampton Inn (right behind this hotel restaurant) and decided to try this place out for dinner. Well, now we know, we'll just be sticking with McPhee's for dinner. Don't get me wrong. It's fine. I ordered the steak, my husband ordered the rib eye. It tasted good, but not amazing steak experience. My order came out with mashed potatoes. It was a pretty small side and the potatoes didn't taste special or even homemade. They were very generic, again, good, but not steakhouse special. There was only one other party inside, however the service was very minimal. I don't know if she was trying to give us space, or alone time...I don't know, but we walked out of our $120 dinner feeling just okay about the food order. read more

While the drinks were strong and our server Sheila was so nice, this was the worst food I have tried in all of Paso. Everything had a strange vinegar taste to it. The Caesar salad tasted like fishy dill pickle mayo. The wedge had a buttermilk dressing and did not taste like the blue cheese and bacon we expected. The Boglognese pasta was strangely full of truffle which is not indicative of a true Boglonese. The arancini were just bland. Our yearly get away to Paso Robles includes staying at the La Bellasera and eating at the Enoteca to experience a local hangout with live music. You'll have to fight the locals to sit and enjoy the music but it's worth it. A nice local wine selection and great wait staff. Love this place even if it's over priced. read more

When I first walked in I thought, "oh no, this is a hotel." That stereotypically lowers the bar, right? So we walked in and Daniel made a great first impression. I have to say, the food and drink was fantastic. I think Daniel was almost a one man show until.. Bartender, server, host. Perfect on all accounts, never missed a step. I arranged for dinner here for a group of 10 one night recently. It was wonderful. Out of 10 appetizers and 10 main courses, there was a complaint about only one dish (one of the appetizers was a little cold, although tasty anyway). The food was excellent and contemporary - all 10 dinners loved this place and would come again (how often does that happen?). The best reason to come, however, is the wine list. It is extensive, varied, and smartly put together, and the prices are exceptionally reasonable. They have the smallest restaurant markup I have seen in a long, long time. When we got the bill, most of us thought something had been left off the tab. Nope, it was all there. This is the most reasonably priced fine dining restaurant in Paso Robles by a mile, especially for wine lovers (and who goes to Paso and doesn't drink wine?). Four of us are already planning on a return visit in 6 weeks. I have only one suggestion for the owners: please make it easier to make a reservation. It's not obvious how to do it from the hotel web site, and as far as I know, there is no separate restaurant web site. read more

We had dinner at this restaurant and had high expectations based on Yelp reviews. We were seated quickly upon arrival, asked for our drink order, and then things turned. When we asked about gluten free options we were told they had selections but no one was 100% clear. We were unable to get a straight answers from the wait staff about ingredients and the gluten content. Our food came out with many issues, was sub-par, and gluten allergy needs were not addressed or accommodated. Management was also unable to help or meet the needs of the table. However, if you appreciate a good pre-owned lipstick with your beer and don't mind an invisible waiter, then this is the place for you. read more

I confirmed my reservation via email yesterday around 10am, we drove up from the LA area, went to 1 winery, and we we're planning to have a RARE night out for a nice dinner, bottle of wine, and relaxing night at the hotel. No stress in having to drive or get a ride share, but No... When we checked into the hotel we were told the restaurant decided not to open tonight. No reason why... they just decided Not to open. Dinner with the girls to celebrate a birthday. Only 1 waiter working on a Tuesday night. He was also tending the bar which was all full We had horrible service. Completely ignored. My friend was even waving her napkin around in a circle in the air and the bus girl walked by & didn't notice. She had to yell out and she was like 4 feet from her. I have had 2 other good experiences but this sucked. I also wonder if they do something like a free desert for a birthday. No way to tell as our bald waiter was too preoccupied to talk to us. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Enoteca. The wedge salad had a delightful unique Green Goddess-like dressing along with candied bacon. The halibut was cooked to perfection in a light Mediterranean broth with artichoke hearts, olives, and small Yukon gold potatoes. Our dessert, the strawberry rhubarb tart with vanilla ice cream was the delicious grand finale. The evening was made even more enjoyable by the charming and attentive Sara, our dedicated server. Our whole dinner, we were "pluggin' away"....the whole entire dinner.... Fatty & I had dinner here after a day of wine tasting. We took a sneak peak at the menu upon the recommendation of the front desk guy and decided that there were a few things that caught our eye. I started with my Kir Royal and Fatty had a Jack & Coke....we were over wine at this point. I ordered a field greens salad and Fatty had the black bean soup. For entrees, I ordered the Porterhouse porkchops and he ordered a grilled salmon served on a bed of veggies and bits of bacon. With our bread basket choices, we were served a Japanese style spoon of apple, chicken, and curry salad, which I, as a curry hater, found tasty.. Fatty didn't like. Fatty's soup was really yummy and I made him swap with my salad at one point. When our entrees came out, Fatty complained about the bacon being too overpowering in the veggie mix (poor him) and I found my pork chop a little on the tough side. The side of potatoes that came with my meal, I found out, are the same style of potatoes that they serve for breakfast, not very creative as a dinner option. For dessert, i ordered a hot fudge sundae which had toasted almonds and 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream. It wasn't very impressive and I only had one scoop of the 3. Now, our server was very professional and accommodating, but after every visit to our table he asked us if we needed anything and if we were just "pluggin' away". I gave Fatty quite a few burning stares after a while. Neither of us were really able to rave about any aspect of our meals...so we didn't. And I have nothing to rave to you, but hopefully, we just caught a night of a couple of bad meals. There are items on the menu that sound enticing. We just didn't have them tonite. read more

This restaurant always seems to get it right. We are locals and go about once a month or so for lunch. The servers are very friendly and the food is so good. My new favorite are the filet mignon street tacos. The seasonings are just right, flavorful, but not too hot for this gringo. The side salad is so delicious. It's not on the menu, but you can order it on it's own. It's got walnuts, grapes and bleu cheese. They should bottle and sell their delicious vinaigrette dressing. Yesterday, I decided to try something different and had the BBQ chicken sandwich. It had all kinds of goodies including avocado, bacon, cheese and onions. Really good. My partner had his usual fish and chips and enjoyed it with malt vinegar. I have heard that they have great desserts, but we're always too full of their great food to try them! If you go for lunch, be mindful of the hours because they do shut the doors at 2. ;-) Their dinners are exceptionally good too! read more

We were going to try this place for lunch but we called and the lady on the phone talked us into trying them for dinner. She lured us in because of the FREE wine and cheese tasting from vino robles that do at 5:30 and we tried it and that was really good and then went to dinner. We started with the Vitners Plate and it was almost Great! The local sausages and cheese were very good, the salad was good, my favorite part was the extremely tasty batter fried LEMON slices. The only problem with this plate was the batter fried broccolini. I started with the stem and it was good and when I got to the top I thought it was FANCY and thought it was stuffed with cheese, but it WASN'T Cheese, IT WAS PASTE! It was just flour and water just like Elmer's school paste. YUK! The broccolini my husband tried was worse his stem was split and had it filled with paste plus the top part. Unfortunately The dinners weren't prepared properly. The server said the porterhouse pork chop would be prepared medium but came out well and dry with a very sweet sauce on it. The Grouper came out very dry just like old food off a two star Chinese Buffet. I do note my green beans were very fresh and good and so was the rice. We told them about the dryness of the food and they took off the porterhouse dinner off our bill. I don't know if they are like that all the time or not. Came in yesterday evening, they were pretty steady. We were greeted within one minute from a young lady named Sarah. Very pleasant with a great attitude. She sat us down at a very lovely booth which made it very accommodating to our party of three. Ashley was a server,/bartender. I asked her if she can make me any cocktail that was unique and delicious. Whatever she made me, it was delicious. First I was a little skeptical, the dishes ran from $27.00 to $45, and everything was all a cart. For the price I was skeptical if that was enough food. The portions were amazing, I even had leftovers to take home which usually never happens. All entrées were delicious and served to perfection, presentation was divine. The dining area was super clean and the sanitized every table from top to bottom. All staff was very professional and courteous. Our server Ashley was very attentive to our needs. Okay, another Five Star review. Let me clarify: I designate stars based on my overall experience at the site. I think some reviewers might choose to assign stars in comparison to OTHER 'great meals' they've had. I think this works when you are rating the KIND of cuisine.... ie: comparing to other Vietnamese restaurants or Mexican food restaurants or.... pho specialty places. But when it's a generic "California cuisine" in a hotel dining room, then I'm gonna judge it based on the experience I had right then. * Hotel decor is a bit over the top but HEY, IT'S A HOTEL! * Nice fireplace in the dining room. * Waiter was very knowledgeable and efficient. * All items we ordered were prepared nicely. Calamari appetizer with a chile dipping sauce (pix added); the Caesar salad dressing was EXCELLENT and it had a lot of anchovy (pix added.) Unfortunately, many restaurants omit the anchovy since some folks don't like it. Huh? Don't order a Caesar if you don't like anchovy! . My husband ordered the grilled swordfish which was perfectly cooked, and the couscous croquettes were superb, along with the warm salad of tomato, cucumber, bacon and shallots also accompanying on the plate. Came here for dinner on a Thursday. It was ok. The food was busy without really tasting that great. My fish was cooked well but it came with too many components that did not mesh well. We visited this restaurant in the hotel as a group but there was one other group dining as well so the service was a bit slow. A little pricey for basic food, but it was delicious and the ambiance is elegant. I think you are paying for it being a nice venue but it was basically empty for lunch except for our two large groups and two small tables. I think they are not used to weekday lunch groups, probably prepared for the weekend wine travelers. The menu is online so take a look and see what you think, it was easy to pull up. The outdoor dining area is cute and the decorations for Christmas were super cute. Definitely a nice place to dine for the holidays. I took a photo of outside and inside so take a look, both are cozy. They were friendly and greeted us right away, sat us immediately and we felt welcome. I'd go back, but with a smaller group. I'll try again on a weekend and perhaps on the weekend. Looks like the bar would be a great spot to belly up for a quick bite, probably quick service as well, looks very nice, cozy seats.
