Don't be fooled by the exterior and the fact that it's fast-casual. When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful, modern, and spacious the interior was. You pick your base, protein, 2 sides, and 1 topping. Anything extra will be an additional charge. No worries, though... they REALLY pack your bowl to the brim. You will get all the protein you need. One bowl is enough for 2 meals. For those who have a sweet tooth like me, they have dessert options like baklava, Greek yogurt, and ekmek. I ordered the Greek Goodness Signature Bowl which came with brown rice, chicken, Greek salad, chickpeas, and tzatziki (~$14). I took my first bite and yup... I WAS IN LOVE!!! Every ingredient was served hot, fresh, and well seasoned. I was completely stuffed halfway through and saved the rest for the following day. Miguel, one of the employees, came to check on me and how I liked the food. He was a pleasure to talk to. Base: salad, rice, salad/rice or wrap Protein: chicken, steak, octopus,salmon, shrimp, lamb, gyro, falafel or veggie 2 Sides: Lima beans, lentils, Greek salad, eons salad, beet salad, chickpea salad, lemon potatoes, or veggie of the day Topping: tzatziki, garlic spread, feta spread, hummus, or eggplant Dressing: lado (lemon olive oil), balsamic, tzadziki, spicy mango habanero, spicy roasted tomato, olives, feta, or evoo I built my bowl with salad/rice mix, octopus, Lima beans and beet salad, eggplant and lado - it was good, the octopus was surprisingly tender! Greek fast food FTW. Having worked in NYC all of my life, I never knew there was a location in Midtown, but I am super duper thankful they have one in Bergen County. The food from this assembly line Greek restaurant is DEEEELICIOUS. I had no idea what I was missing! I dropped in to pick up an order on a random Sunday afternoon and, surprisingly, this location was huge. I expected a small interior, but I was shocked to see how much space there was and how many tables there were inside. Best of all, it was fairly quiet. The menu is super simple. You can either order a signature bowl or create your own. I highly recommend just creating your own so that you can determine what ingredients will be included. For create your own bowls, like almost all chain restaurants with this concept, you choose a base first, then a protein, sides, spread and dressing. Simple. As for food, it was EXTREMELY flavorful. I ordered a salmon custom bowl and my wife ordered a shrimp custom bowl. I absolutely fell head over heels after my 1st bite! Everything was just so good and there were flavors pulling me each and every way. Honestly, I came away thinking that this was one of the best... yes, one of the BEST, assembly-style chain restaurants out there. The ingredients were fresh and the food really got my attention. this place really went downhill. came here at 5pm on a tuesday and nothing looked fresh. got the salmon bowl and the salmon was soo dry and overcooked. my dad got the gyro and it was more like jerky! cheap with toppings. had to pay $1.50 for pita!! everything is extra. go to cava instead!! unlimited toppings, free pita, and fresh food! also ordered the baklava and it was not crispy at all but rather super soggy. dinner for two people, baklava and two drinks was $50! should've went to an actual restaurant!!! it was such a rip off and service was not pleasant. the place was dead and they couldn't be bothered. this place will be gone soon. read more

I had been curious about EONS Greek Food for Life ever since I drove past it a year or so ago. I happened to be in the area recently and knew it would be the perfect spot for a quick lunch.  While the restaurant had more of a fast-food ordering style, its ingredients were top-notch, including their grass-fed, hormone- and antibiotic-free meats and organic, wild-caught seafood.  In addition, the large, spacious cafe had soaring ceilings and sleek, modern decor. I hopped on the short line at the quick-serve spot and assembled my own bowl of Greek goodies.  I started with a base of Organic Greens that were perfectly fresh and not even the slightest bit wilted.  I then selected baked falafel as my protein, and they certainly did not skimp on the portion, giving me 5 or 6 large balls.  For one of my two side dishes, I went with the Beet Salad, which was flavorful, but the beets were a bit mushy.  The Chickpea Salad, however, was my second side and was bright, fresh, and well-seasoned.  Lastly, I selected Hummus as my spread and enjoyed its mildness, but also would not have minded if it had included more garlic.   Overall, EONS Greek Food for Life offered a quick, nutritious, and filling lunch in a relaxing atmosphere. read more

I had an uber eats coupon and got every topping and double protein to tell YOU what is the best (so you dont need to drop $30 on a salad). Note that in person you can ask for falafal as a side, but on the app you can not. Brown rice base, chicken and falafel protein, greek salad and beets topping, hummus and feta, mango dressing. I've always loved Greek food and after being to Greece I love it even more. After passing this place a few times I decided to stop in and it did not disappoint! I ordered online and both times my meal was ready exactly when they said it would be. I was really disappointed with the customer service I received. The worker seemed very disengaged and was not helpful answering the questions I had when ordering as it was my first time there. I ended up ordering a pita bowl with falafel as my protein, chickpea and eons salad as my sides and tzatziki sauce as my topping. I was also disappointed that additional sauces were $2 each since they all sounded good. The food at Eons in Paramus is excellent with a lot of healthy choices. The service, not so much. The man who served us could not be bothered to speak louder than a whisper, and a greeting or a smile was not going to happen. The surly service takes away from the meal and gives the restaurant a depressing vibe. And, I don't want to be picky, but the napkins were very thin and rough, almost like gift tissue paper. What happened to this place?? Long one of my wife's faves, it is now just overpriced, terrible food. I hate wasting food but I threw my meal away. I went up and informed the workers that all the food was stale. I don't typically post pics in reviews but it is clearly visible here how hard and dried out the "yeero" meat in the photos. This was a $42+ meal for 3; everyone got small bowl of stale rice and overcooked meat. We ended up stopping at Chick-fil-A on the way home. Update 11/27/21 Since posting the initial review, the owner and manager both reached out to me and promised to make things right. I was refunded for the previous meal and provided a gift card. I'm happy to say my family returned today and the food quality was MUCH better. Everyone enjoyed their meals and there was even leftovers to take home. Used to love this place ! Went today and the kid making may daughters sandwich put olives on it. I never asked for olives and told him no as he started putting them on. Daughter would never eat it with olives on it. So this guy starts sticking his fingers in the white sauce to pull out the olives. He was knuckle deep in my daughters sandwich when I told him I didn't want it. He was surprised and had a little attitude. Could have lived with that, but then he makes my salad with as little Ingredients as he possibly could. I guess that was his revenge, for asking him to redo his mistake. In this climate I don't think anyone would want someone sticking their gloved fingers in your food. I love these new Greek bowl places popping up their dispatch percolator. This place is really awesome and has such great flavors mixed in their bowls. They have a great selection of proteins and vegetables that are Greek staples. Definitely on the spicy side which I love, but be warned because spice is not for everybody. Pending on how fresh the protein is your bowl experience may vary. One time I went and the guy in back of me said I had to try the steak and steak just happen to come out fresh so I tried it and it literally melted in my mouth. I haven't been able to get steak that is it as good as that night at either of the two eons locations I've been to again. Everything else is consistent though. The portions are large two so you're going to get a good meal out of this. This location is large and has outdoor seating. Staff is great and the bathrooms are clean. I prefer the other location in North Jersey just cause he can walk to so many other stores but I prefer the size of this location. So i walked into an empty place to see the menu and figure out what im going to eat. I opted for a create your own bowl. Salad + Octopus+ beans+greek salad and a fountain drink=$18. Ouch I hate to do this but i MUST compare this establishment with Cava since its a similar concept. Location. Tie Eons is located on a busy RT17 south. Do you really want to go here during rush hour? Parking is minimal Cava is perfectly located in the Bergen mall but good luck finding parking on a busy sat afternoon. Again. RT4 traffic jam during rush hour but hey we're in Paramus Cleanliness. Eons I love the fact that this place is CLEAN Staff. Eons Eventhough i only been here once the lady had a smile on her face and greeted me with a hello. The only thing that needed improvement was going over the menu. I thought i was getting an octopus salad served cold instead i got mixed greens, greek salad and feta ball with olives and olive oil dressing with warm sliced octopus stew with warm beans. Yeah. Not a good combo in my mouth or belly. Variey. Cava I love the fact that you can mix greens with rice, proteins, pita bread and unlimited toppings where Eons is more like you can choose this or that. On Wednesday 3/16/22 I placed an online order and when I called the Montvale location to let them know I was outside ready for my curbside I found out their phone line was not working. Due to COVID restrictions I have to follow I was not able to go inside the establishment to get my order. I then decided to call the Paramus location to see if somehow they could get in contact with the Montvale location and let them know of my situation. That's when Nick came to the rescue! Not only he was super nice but he got in contact with them and within 5 min the order was with me. SHOUT-OUT to Nick for displaying excellent customer service! This single experience will definitely make me not only continue to support this business but also tell my friends about it. Now let's talk about the food. The chicken and gyro (yeero) wraps were so delicious, fresh and satisfying. The chicken had a nice charred taste. Definitely big portions. Now, the baklava could be improved. It was soggy and it lacked the nutty crunchy aspect. One small recommendation would be for the online ordering page to have a section where we could notate details about the curbside order like car model and notify the store upon arrival. Like everyone said, this is basically a chipotle with Greek food! I really like the concept of choosing what you want in your food, especially if you're a picky eater. I came here after work and it's a really nice and clean place. Larger than I expected, the restaurant offers really cute decor with high ceilings that make the place look even bigger. Being that it was my first time, the servers were nice and went through step by step with what they offer. I wanted to indulge and tried their octopus which even LOOKED delicious. I'm always very afraid to try octopus especially since it's so hard to cook but I was very impressed being this was kind of a 'fast food' option. I opted for the salad with a bunch of other stuff on there. The plate was a generous amount and I almost finished everything. Everything was absolutely delicious and knowing everything is gear towards the healthier option. As we were leaving someone was there to immediately clean the tables and bring the plates and trays to the back kitchen to keep their cleanliness up to date. The person was nice enough to ask how the meal was. I was very pleased with the food and the service provided being that they seem fairly new. Hopefully the quality of care stays the same down the road and the employees continue their efforts in keeping a smile on their face. My favorite vegan happens to be Greek, and I wanted her opinion on the authenticity of EONS Greek Food for Life. This new restaurant is set up like a Chipotle, but the inside is WAY NICER. There are a lot of different protein options, and even some vegan options. We ordered some rice bowls to go, and went off to eat them in the park. I'm a fan. I got the yeero (gyro) bowl over brown rice, with lemon potatos, chickpeas, feta spread, feta, and olives. It was all in a cute and neat container. Previous reviews read that there wasn't much food, but this little package was hefty and filling! I was super full after. The meat was seasoned well, and the different sides were good complements. I especially liked the tart lemon potatoes. I paid a second visit with my good friend, Ivan P., and he confirmed that the cuisine was similar to what could be found in Greece. This time, I got a lamb bowl to stay. This time, it was served on a plate, I guess cuz we were eating in. I got the lemon potatoes again, with the delicious EONS salad. The meat was seasoned well, but a little overcooked. I also feel like I got less food eating in than when I got take out, cuz I was only satisfied this time, and not super full. I like this place a lot. If you are thinking about doing a clean eating regimen like Paleo or Whole30 -- whether for a lifestyle change or just to identify problem foods for you -- there are very few restaurants in the region that can serve up organic -- Paleo friendly meals. EONS is one of them; the name itself evokes the whole notion of eating in the manner our distant ancestors did eons ago. Eating clean is a chore -- and it can get boring if you have to do it at home -- especially if you go it alone. EONS gives you the option to eat what you need -- when you need it -- with many permutations as to proteins and sides -- at a very reasonable price point -- and for the most part -- it is very flavorful food -- thoughtfully assembled. This is not Juicy Platters or the Halal Guys -- whose food -- while delicious -- is not Paleo friendly. EONS engaging owner -- George -- relentlessly pays attention to sourcing only clean ingredients -- which is -- first and foremost -- why he earned my business. If organic clean eating is not your thing -- you may be disappointed by the subdued flavors of the food which is -- by design -- not fried, seasoned or sauced to death. But you can kick up just about anything on the menu with their handful of freshly made sauces (tzatziki/garlic/tahini and others) all made with minimal ingredients. Even quart sized squeeze bottles of sriracha are available if you must have the heat. I tried a good cross-section of their menu today -- lamb/chicken/octopus as proteins over the organic salad with a scoop of roasted eggplant and beets. My boys had grain bowls with similar proteins and tsatziki/tahini dips. The sliced and grilled octopus was tender and well seasoned served almost ceviche-like with lemon and diced onions/red bell peppers and capers. Nice umami flavors here. The chicken and lamb was cubed small and was not as flavorful as the octopus. Basic gas grilled chicken breasts - a bit tough. Not sure what part of the animal the lamb came from as it was diced very small and was relatively unseasoned. I prefer to eat larger pieces of lamb in recognizable cuts -- but I understand why such serving portions don't really suit the assembly line -- fast food nature of this establishment. My kids ate the stuff I couldn't (chocolate chip cookies/baklava and cookies drenched in powdered sugar) and pronounced them to be just sweet enough with good texture. The space is inviting -- open aired with high industrial style ceilings showing HVAC conduits -- but nicely contrasted with very tasteful earth tones on the ceiling walls and floors -- curated wall art and photo's complement very modern industrial signage. Plenty of reasonably comfortable tables and booths at which to sit and view the order line and even sneak a peek at the semi-open kitchen in the rear of the restaurant. Parking is plentiful in this mini-mall packed stretch of Route 17 South. The staff is very accommodating and friendly -- asking me several times if my meal was satisfactory and what if anything I would want done differently. And while the restaurant was mostly empty at 5pm on a Thursday afternoon -- a steady stream of people came and ordered either to stay or to go -- and the line seemed to keep up well with customer demand. Any restaurant will have hiccups (especially during a soft opening) -- and I understand (judging from some reviews) why my fellow Yelpers were underwhelmed when they experienced this place while EONS was working out its birthing kinks. My impression today was considerably different from those earlier reviews. I ate large portions of very tasty Greek style food in an unpretentious environment that caters to healthy and organic eating. The staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly -- and George is a jovial, amiable and likable owner who is open to candid and constructive feedback. I look forward to seeing how this business does over time as I know he has plans to evolve his concept. Top Tip: Talk directly to the owner or one of the staff about any issue you have with the food. Chances are they will fix it immediately -- or -- if it means changing up the menu or the concept -- they will hear you and consider it. read more

This place is a great concept, but they need to figure a few things out. I know they are new so I hope they can improve. First off they seemed confused when you ordered certain things like they did not know there own menu. I got a bowl over salad, I wanted squid but they had none, really it was 7 on a Saturday and you are out. I went with lamb instead, which was very dry but was seasoned nicely. It is word that you can start off with salad and then choose more salad as sides, but I got potatoes and the eons salad. Potatoes were tasty and soft, the eons salad was the best thing I had, so good. Another prob I had is they give you extremely small amounts of everything. Here is my 2 cents 1.
